I'd like to see you test the hardness of OK Knives that claim to be S30V and M390. I don't mean the counterfeits they sell, but the OK branded knives like the Spyderco-style knives with square thumb holes.
@@buckeye43210 I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have equipment, supplies and experience heat treating high chromium alloys. It has 11.5% Chromium, so it’s not really akin to what we call carbon steel.
Really appreciate the quick run down.
Curious to know if the bugout clones are handles and blades are interchangable 🤔

Greatest knives EVER made!
How dare you call the Ozark Grail Stormtrooper a butter knife😆
@@TimsSchoolOfFish You are correct! Butter knife would be more corrosion resistant!
@@CuttingBoardRx🤣
@@CuttingBoardRx There's no getting an edge on it.
@@The4cp Oh, it’s an edge, just instead of a bevel, it’s a continuous chamfer 🤣
Could the D2 blade be re-heat treated at home?

Will a real BM 535 blade fit either knife?
@@buckeye43210 No
@@CuttingBoardRx Thanks
I bought the $5 first. Junk is correct.
JUNK steel.
@@litsci4690 D2 is not junk.
@@CuttingBoardRx 3Cr13MoV. But ANY steel that is treated badly is effectively junk.
On top of that cheap PRC plastics and coatings are toxic.
@@enwin1912 Little doubt.
