I have worn a wrist watch pretty much every day of my adult life. If I don't have one on, I don't feel right. As somebody who grew up in a time before cell phones, I can tell you that you can actually survive without one. I noticed that you did not include that in your list, and I think that is great. People depend too much on their phones. Batteries die, sometimes there's no service. Then that phone is just extra weight. Get a wrist watch.

I never understood why these people need a pocket knife and a flashlight so much. The flashlight from my phone is good enough and i haven't used a knife outside of cooking and eating for more than a year.
Yeah.... That was my biggest issues with Zippos. In the field, they're great. Durable, windproof, etc. But, with the open design the butane evaporates far too quickly. Wasted a lot of money just refilling it over the years because it would always just evaporate. Will have to grab one of these jet inserts for my Zippo! Didn't even know they existed.
Analog with day-date and full numbers time index watches. Absolutely my style. My edc pocket dump are: multiool, flashlight with vertical and horizontal orientation, a lighter, and 2 meter of cordage.

I also carry a reliable pen and a pocket notebook. Both of these are waterproof, and that actually did come in handy when i was caught in a downpour, and my pocketbook was fine after drying off. I like having something to write stuff down in and i dont like to use my phone for that.
The wallet/organizer for those items is a good idea. I would keep it seperate from money wallet, and I wouldn't put my knife on it, but for the other variety of 'edc' stuff that's a good pocket solution.
A torch is absolutely essential! A friend of one of my siblings was caught up in the Police helicopter crash at the Clutha Bar in Glasgow a few years ago and she had to use hers.
