I would have bought the Eight Sleep, but they want $250/year for the ability to schedule the temperatures you want. And there’s no guarantee they won’t charge more in the future either.
I would be willing to spend a couple grand for a consistent better nights sleep but the subscription fees are straight up immoral. I can't believe they get away with that.

The eight sleep seems like a neat product, but the pricing and subscription are a deal killer. I can see maybe $999 with no monthly fee. I'm sleeping pretty comfortably on a $600 foam mattress. While the temp control sounds interesting, I just can't imagine dropping $2k on something like this & having to pay monthly for the pleasure of using it. I have a feeling thing product will go the way of the Juicero. For me, my solution to sleeping too hot was to go to Target and spend $30 on a fleece blanket. They're comfortable and still seem to breathe well enough so I don't sweat while I sleep. I find when my internet dies, my blanket continues to function just the same. If I'm still feelin' hot, then my super baller ceiling fan does the trick.
Stay away from Eight-sleep. Mine also sprung leak, under the pad, and I didn’t know until several weeks later. My entire bed was covered with black mold and I had to throw out all my bedroom furniture. The company was nonresponsive and has been playing games about a refund for months. Not only does this product not work long-term, but if It should spring a leak and ruin your bedroom furniture they will do nothing

I have had an Eight Sleep for over 5 years. I just threw it away. The mattress topper always gets leaks, it takes about a year or less, and you will either wake up wet or frozen. If the leak is on top of the mattress topper you wake up wet. If the leak is on the underside of the topper you wake up frozen. Imagine a waterbed without a heater. And no guarantee they go belly up in the future and the whole cloud server is taken offline leaving you with expensive junk.
Also this being that expensive, why would you pick it over a better AC unit?
