Will check my pantry later coronavirus is in Singapore too and Singapore is almost into the lockdown drooling over my samsung galaxy j4 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
.... I use the same tuna you are using here, I've used it several years now. ☺️..... My other pantry staples are Organic canned chix breast , a variety of beans ( prevents gallstones ) ; pasta , and organic canned tomatoes, etc. I add a " secret ingredient" to my tuna salad, people are surprised to find out what it is, lol. ( No, it's not Greek yogurt, but I often use it... Part Greek yogurt, part Mayo. ).... It's a smidgen of GOOD horseradish sauce, my grandmother taught me that, decades ago! ( I'm 65 years young, lol)
My late Mom used hard boiled egg in her tuna salad and I like this a lot. Also, I buy a pint box of mirapoix in the supermarket which contains already chopped celery, carrot, and onions. It is a big time saver.
Hard to justify going to the store solely to purchase fresh herbs (which would definitely make this much tastier) so instead I used dried herbs I had on hand and it was still a 10/10 in my book ! Thanks for the yummy recipe 😊
Much thanks for this. I am a bit surpised by seeing so many people commenting as if it's entirely new to them. You've done a good deed introducing them to something simple and new.
The best tuna recipe! I’ve been using for lunch meal prep and I pair it with lettuce wraps!! So good and really healthy! Ofc I sometimes have to add a little side .. a handful of bbq potato chips. 😂
Here is the Recipe x 2 5-ounce cans of tuna 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 stalk of celery, diced 2 tablespoons red onion, diced 1-2 tablespoons chopped parsley, chives and/or other herbs 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard salt and pepper, to taste
Eliminate the chives and parsley, add slices or slivered almonds, sliced tomato, avocado, a little lemon juice, and alfalfa sprouts on multigrain bread!
Greetings. I tried this recipe today and it was a huge hit! I’ll certainly be using it again soon as it’s super simple and I love the use of fresh herbs in any dish. Many thanks to you for sharing.
This was so delicious! I’m usually really lazy and hate to dice anything but this was so worth it! I even went an extra step and diced fresh jalapeño and dill. Chef’s kiss! 💋
Was literally just thinking “I wonder how Lisa is” in these crazy times, then up pops another one of you fab videos. What a joy as always. Stay safe. 😎
First time watching you, truly appreciate you breaking this down! This was my first time making tuna salad and it IS STRAIGHT BUSSING! Very simple as well, thanks again, shalom.
I was really skeptical about this recipe because i never tried mayonnaise with tuna before and i hated celery But i was surprised that it actually tasted good It fits all together
I just came to say thank you for the awesome recipe. I saw this vid yesterday while I was eating a simple tuna salad and I just knew I was missing something. This is exactly what I needed, no more boring tuna!
I tried it without the herb and substituted the fancy mustard for regular mustard and white onion instead of red onion. I dipped it in whole grain crackers! Super yummy!!!! This is a must try if you like tuna!! I thank you for changing the way I do tuna. Which was just with mayo and thats all, which can be bland.
Thanks, that is simple and easy. I found this Turmeric sauce that although it is pretty brightly colored, is has a lot of good anti-oxidants in it, and takes the place of mayonnaise and is really good if you don't mind a little bit of Middle Eastern flavor. Can wait to try it out with all the other stuff.
I looked up this recipe because I had leftover catfish from when we changed stock at work. I used the same ingredients except I used catfish fillets instead of tuna and it came out splendid! Thank you!
We’re going to make this today. We just bought the vegetable sheet cutter, so I think we will slice up a cucumber and make rolled wraps. Love your videos! Thank you!
Similar to my recipe but I also add chopped garlic....also, I use the Italian brand Cento which is packed in olive oil and I of course don’t drain, as I want the oil flavor, I just add less mayo but it’s still incredibly creamy. Also, keeping it in frig to let all the flavors meld together makes it even tastier!
Did this but I used yellow mustard instead, No cilantro and I added some sweet relish then threw in one boiled egg omg. Thanks for the tip with the green onion definitely added more flavor❤️
You are a food genius, Lisa. So simple, yet so smart- when we’re all trying to figure out what to cook next for the family...🤦🏻♀️ Btw, just a couple of days ago I made your flourless chocolate cake, and boy was it a hit during this lockdown.... thank you so much for the inspiration & all your great recipes 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I've watched so many of these types of cooking channels and this is the first one where I would make just about every recipe. Usually, I think "wouldn't cook that......wouldn't cook that......yuck wouldn't cook that".
I made the tuna salad with your avocado bowls very tasty and delicious. from little town in Fraser Lake BC Canada and I've enjoyed some of your smoothie recipes as well
Hi Lisa Just wanted to say I love your recipes and blog! I have enjoyed food and anything related to it as young as I can remember. Your approach is just fantastic, simple and to the point, plus the aesthetic touch Keep it up
I am so happy my husband ran across you during his RUclips surfing. Lol. You have been such an inspiration to me! I made this tuna recipe by I used canned chicken instead. It's so delicious even my husband liked it! Which is a huge deal, since he grew up eating like you, as a child, with fast and processed food.
Thrilled to hear both you and your husband are enjoying this tuna salad recipe! Can't wait to see what you make next, and to share my cookbook with you later this year. Its got tons more delicious recipes like this 😉
Looks delicious, I will be trying your recipe soon. HINT: I learned this tip from my ex boss. She mixes her mayo and mustard together in a small glass bowl then adds it to the tuna. It really blends my tuna salads better AND I don't get too little or too much dressing in my tuna salad, which I've done many times in the past.
Just made it again, it’s one of my favourite quick and easy to make salads :) had it over one slice of home-made rye bread (I am not bread fan in general) with a leaf of lettuce.
WOW!!!!! just WOW! I made my tuna salad like yours and I will NEVER go back to my boring tuna salad! (honestly, I never like tuna salad until now) thank you
Not to brag but I make the best tuna salad I have ever had, and this has been echoed by anyone who's had it. But yours looks like a close second. I basically do it the same way minus the herbs and mustard. The herbs surely add a burst of freshness. I like my tuna salad a lot creamier so I add at least twice the amount of mayo. Nice Job! Whoever gets to eat this is indeed lucky.
Hi I'm back, I making your recipe now, since we are in crazy time, I'm enjoying cooking healthy meals for my family, once I go back to work, I hope I keep making healthy foods, and I love your soothing voice!😊
Tonight we made this recipe with smoked tuna, dried dill, basil and spring onion. It was really delicious and all of my family enjoyed it. Thank you Lisa ❤
Another great recipe, Lisa. Many thanks. I sent your channel link to a friend who's just recently been diagnosed with RA. She's struggling with how to change her lifestyle and eating habits. I said, "Just adopt everything on this channel for 90 days and see how you feel". I'm hoping how you live and eat helps her to make a few changes.
I like to use a few drops of worcestershire sauce also. It adds some depth to the sauce. Also some chopped had-boiled egg for diversity of flavors. This is a wonderful start.
I am getting excited the more I see your recipes. The over night oatmeal is genius! TY very much. I eat oatmeal every morning once in awhile an egg but this is really awesome & so easy. I can't wait for the tuna recipe. You know I love Tuna also but I was eating it almost everyday then I found out that you should not have more than 2 cans a week it could cause medical problems
I never thought of adding mustard, now i'm curious, i have to try it next time! I have a question, when i make tuna salad i always make only one portion with a small can of tuna, if i make more how long can i keep it in the fridge? btw i love your channel ❤️
Meat tends to stay good for 3 days in the refrigerator it lasts a lot longer if you freeze it but mayonnaise is not a good freezing base neither is sour cream or that's like that I have been known to make the mayonnaise horseradish mustard pickle relish All that cast up in advance and then add the can of to the later as I'm ready for the meat like the tuna try me for my tuna salad sandwiches a lot of people put boiled eggs in tuna salad sandwiches just in case you wanted to know
I love this recipe for tuna salad sandwiches. Sometimes i just use lemon pepper seasoning, and i do use Greek yogurt instead of mayo, because I truly dont like mayo. My personal favorite way to eat it if not a sandwich is to stuff it into 1/2 of a bell pepper
Thanks so very much for what sounds like a great recipe for me to punch up my plain jane tuna salad. I'll definitely try it out! If you're a "tuna salad--holic" like me, or have a large family, when you're about 12 hours from running out of your tuna salad on hand make your new batch then, put it in a sealed rubbermaid container, pop it into the 'fridge overnight and let all the flavors meld together. It makes all the difference in the world. ** However, if doing so you wouldn't want to mix in the lettuce or green herbs until you're going to use it as they'll get soggy. My mom had the best tuna salad but I never asked her how to make it, foolish me, before she passed away. When making a sandwich, we always used whole leaves of crispy iceberg lettuce. It's absolutely fantastic, and really, really also helps make all the difference in the world flavor wise!
You want a recipe for dried beans my husband like to make a ham and bean soup and he would make that from northern beans I don't know what the difference was but he did he was soaked beans overnight in a pan and then hit with rinse and drain drain and rinse beans then he would put them in a in a pot I like The roaster thing I let him use that and then he would put in slice pieces of ham or chunks of ham and just let it cook for about 4 hours in the roaster it was delicious and had you don't need to add any salt because does salt is in the ham because ham is soaked in salt before it's sold so you can add pepper if you want does black pepper or something like that and it already going to try it bye bye
Going to try this with some plant-based TuNah as I have a family history of Cancer and worry about all the heavy metals and pesticides in fish--thanks for posting
My go-to tuna spread: Can of tuna, 1 cottage cheese, a little bit red bell pepper, a bit of finely chopped curly parsley, green onion and salt & pepper. All done. I'll try this recipe, but I have a hard time imagining the combination of tuna and mustard.
Thanks for this video. I was thinking of having a Tuna sandwich today. Been craving it. Question: I’m not a big fan of mayo (need to make yours & give it a try) so usually I do 1 part mayo to 1-2 parts Greek yogurt ( I prefer Chiobani). Would that still work without changing the flavor too much?
As to the liquid contents of the cans we add a teaspoon or so of bread crumbs, seasoned or otherwise to absorb them, but I see your point in wanting a different texture.Looks delish.
Could have went to the club tonight, but I decided to stay in and make this. I have zero regrets. Thank you 💫

Going to try this with some plant-based TuNah as I have a family history of Cancer and worry about all the heavy metals and pesticides in fish--thanks for posting
My go-to tuna spread:
Can of tuna, 1 cottage cheese, a little bit red bell pepper, a bit of finely chopped curly parsley, green onion and salt & pepper.
All done.
I'll try this recipe, but I have a hard time imagining the combination of tuna and mustard.
Sounds great Anna 😊
Mustard is a very fine addition. Don't use too much, though, esp if you add sliced radishes.
You definitely need the mustard
no cottage cheese. out of place.
I like to caramelizar onions to add this bit of sweet flavor, bell peppers which add this fresh pop to it, and some chile’s en vinagre for some spice.
Lemon squeeze! Is a must.
I got a rave review, and the person I made it for said, “This is the best tuna sandwich I ever had.” Thank you for the recipe!
Wonderful! I'm so happy to hear that!
Downshiftology Would you recommend cilantro as an herb? I only used parsley?
I was thinking of that. Maybe try a little. I played around with it a little. I used regular mustard, and it seemed to have worked.
Yes, you can substitute mayo for greek yogurt - but it will alter the taste a bit! It's still a delicious option though :)
I've made tuna salad with yoghurt or sour cream my entire life, I never even thought about using mayo! :')
BEST TUNA SALAD EVER!! Omgggg I love it! Deff a favorite
Glad you love this recipe Karol! 😊
Try adding diced apple to the tuna salad recipe, its how I learned how to make it from my grandmother.
Make it how you wish but I would never use fruit or any apple in tuna salad. To each his/her own.
As to the liquid contents of the cans we add a teaspoon or so of bread crumbs, seasoned or otherwise to absorb them, but I see your point in wanting a different texture.Looks delish.
You can add if you'd like! I'm gluten-free so I exclude additions like that.
@@Downshiftology Ah,I understand, stay well🙋
