- This salmon salad has it all - flaky baked salmon, crisp celery, red onion, radishes, and fresh herbs, tossed in a creamy lemony dressing. Oh yes, this is how you give salmon a fresh new lift.
I'm a huge proponent of turning simple proteins into creamy summer salads. They're deliciously filling, yet still light and fresh. At this point, I've made shrimp salad, chicken salad, tuna salad (even broccoli tuna salad)...you get the gist. So it only made sense that next on my list was a salad that leveraged one of my favorite ingredients - baked salmon!
This healthy salad makes for the perfect summer salad, light lunch, or fresh dinner recipe. I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Finally made this salmon salad today and it was amazing. The lemon and smoked paprika took it to another level!
0:00 ENSALADA DE SALMON
Ingredientes:
Para el salmón:
1 ¼ libras de filete de salmón
½ cucharada de aceite de oliva
1 cucharadita de pimentón ahumado
Sal kosher y pimienta negra recién molida al gusto
Para el aderezo:
⅓ taza de mayonesa
½ limón rallado y en jugo (alrededor de ½ cucharada de ralladura y 1 ½ cucharada de jugo)
2 cucharaditas de mostaza Dijon
1 diente de ajo picado
Sal kosher y pimienta negra recién molida al gusto
Para la ensalada:
½ cebolla roja pequeña finamente picada
3 rábanos grandes rallados
2 tallos de apio en cubitos pequeños
2 cucharadas de eneldo fresco finamente picado
2 cucharadas de cebollín fresco finamente picado
Preparación:
0:44 1. Prepare el salmón. Precaliente el horno a 375°F (190°C). Cubra una bandeja para hornear con papel para horno y coloque el salmón encima. Rocíe el salmón con aceite de oliva y sazone con pimentón ahumado, sal y pimienta.
2:36 2. Hornee y desmenuce el salmón. Hornee el salmón durante 16 a 18 minutos (según el tamaño y el grosor) o hasta que se desmenuce fácilmente con un tenedor.
2:50 3. Haga el aderezo. En un tazón pequeño aparte, haga el aderezo. Mezcle la mayonesa, la ralladura y el jugo de limón, la mostaza, el ajo, la sal y la pimienta.
3:40 4. Deje que se enfríe a temperatura ambiente, luego desmenuce el salmón en trozos y colóquelo en un tazón. Enfríe el salmón desmenuzado durante 5 a 10 minutos en el refrigerador.
4:42 4. Corte las verduras. Cubra el salmón desmenuzado con la cebolla, el rábano, el apio, el eneldo y las cebolletas.
6:17 5. Revuelva todo. Vierta el aderezo sobre la ensalada y revuelva suavemente para combinar.
6. Sirva la ensalada de salmón fría directamente del tazón, sobre hojas de lechuga o como sándwich o wrap.

What a beautiful salad, Lisa! I see you've chosen the very best cut of salmon, as well. The tail cut is not only leaner than the center cuts, but it's bone-free as well. I often buy a big fillet like this so I can prepare salmon pasta dishes with my leftovers; this will be a nice summer variant.

Just made the salmon salad, but subbed out the mayonnaise for non-fat greek yogurt and it tastes amazing. Trying to eat super-clean with minimal ingredients like you and loving it. Can't wait to get my hands on your cookbook 🙂

This is an amazing salad. To help it go further for the family. I cooked up some fusilli pasta. Mixed that in a olive oil, black pepper and lemon juice mix and added it to the salmon mix. This will be my go to salad for the austalian summer.

Love all cold protein salads including thinly sliced steak! I’m going to toss the chilled flaked salmon last after the veg is tossed in dressing to keep the salmon in tact and use goat milk yogurt in place of mayo. Another wonderful guidepost recipe with room to riff, Lisa! Thxs.

Made this today for lunch this week. Oh yum 🤤. I swapped out the onions/celery for grated cucumbers/carrots because I needed to use them up. I swapped the green onion for parsley. I don’t like raw onions. So good 😊

I always watch and utilize many of ur recipes! I probably will use canned salmon…..but I will use the best and gently flake it. I grew up on canned salmon with bones.
