As a DBZ fan that rarely watches/reads any DC stuff Goku would still lose to Superman regardless. But DeathBattle's calcs and inability to differentiate feat from statement and inability to properly scale anything makes it hard to take them seriously.

I grew up with DBZ and Justice league and if we were comparing the tv superman to Goku then Goku is washing the entire JLA universe but if we are talking about superman from Earth 1 in the comics in the post crisis era, he ended up having hax like resistance to existence erasure, resistance to matter manipulation, literally survives blows from a multiverse buster in Darkseid and even defeats him at times, and is so fast he can cross the entire universe in 10 minutes in his own speed not in an instant transmission speed. Ultimately, superman has way more feats than Goku due to his publication history. Also this video claiming that cooler is canon is silly. GT itself isn’t canon, so his statement about immeasurable speed or infinite power is simply a silly little comedy. I love Goku and started martial arts when I was young because I wanted to be him but Boringman is just designed to win every time
Even if you scale Goku to 5D or 6D, Superman still has better feats. Goku's never hit someone so hard that alternate versions of that character felt it.

My bad, missed that actually. But two minor things. One, Goku was stronger than Freeza, so he should be able to do the same thing just fine. Two, the anime does show Goku in the middle of the explosion, so at the very least in the anime, he did.
Deathbattle is doing rule of kewl and not much rule of fact. With Superman they use a amalgam version of most powerful versions, including Cosmic Armor Superman (whom is a merging of Main/Prime Universe Superman and Earth 3 Ultraman) at most peak, while with Goku they use 1 version that is extremely downplayed

The one thing I would like to argue is that I don't think that clip of the South Galaxy being destroyed is meant to be taken literally, I think it's more a metaphor, because if that truly would have happened, then the battle would not have been able to take place on New Vegeta, a planet in the South Galaxy, otherwise everything here checks out, aside from Goku survivung Planet Namek's distruction, he escaped it in a ship.

So, whether you use this as more evidence that the movies and GT are canon is up to you all.

As with the first video,relatively short and to the point. One huge problem i have with this is Z’s BoG & RoF are not in the same timeline as GT,the only reason “evidence” to that even exists is bc it predates Super and thats literally it. There are multiple cracks to this but the major 2 things are that very obviously the God forms do not exist in GT and vice versa,and Frieza has no Golden form in GT lol. These are just 2 i can think off at the top of my head there’s at least 10 more reasons as to why the Z movies are not a prequel to GT.

Akira Toriyama said in an interview that Goku doesn't need to transform into SSJ God anymore because he absorbed that power into his base. Super Saiyan Blue, fair enough. At the moment, I don't have any explanation for that. Also, my evidence is more for BoG, and not RoF. So I'll conceed on RoF being canon to GT. I do think, however, that Freeza not using his Golden Form in GT isn't an issue. After all, Freeza is a reactive transformer (not like Megatron), as he's only ever shown transforming when there's a threat to his current power. In GT, Freeza is shown to be immortal in hell. So there's no need to use his Golden Form, as Goku poses no threat to him. RoF, I will concede on, however.
I should also mention, that just because there are inconsistencies within a story, that doesn't mean that it can't exist within each other. For example, in the End of Z Bulma says she hasn't seen Goku for five years, but with Super that's clearly not true. But I wouldn't say Super isn't canon, just because there's an inconsistency.

While I do agree with Death Battle's conclusion, I do admit the research team did a terrible job at properly scaling goku. When goku and kid buu fought on the kaioshin world, their fight heavily distorted the surface beyond recognition and here's the thing, that planet makes up 10% of universe 7, so we're looking at a massive cosmic body that's no different from new Genesis and apocalypse. Back in 2014 before dbs and the movie revival of f. Akria Toriyama actually states in an interview that beerus can destroy the kaioshin world and, given the power scale difference he gave further back in 2013 or 2012 he said goku is a 6 and beerus is a 10 and whis is a 15. So death battle's statement about ssjg goku's exact limits being difficult to pinpoint was nonsense. They were just lazy.

Actually, even then, since BoG was redone in both the manga and anime, that means the movie can neatly slide into GT. Besides, things can exist across multiple continuities. For example, the original Dragon Ball anime is canon to Z and Z Kai. Hell, even Gregory, a DBZ filler character, is canon in the DBS manga.
I’ll say this, as a fan of both characters, and ignoring any & everything past 2015 for these guys, I’m still convinced Goku wins this fight 9 times outta 10 at minimum. You can’t put an inconsistent character up against a character who’s consistent and expect inconsistency to win, that’s also as weird as saying a weight lifter beats a boxer, which funnily enough, Goku’s an actual fighter, as where Superman isn’t. That’s also not to mention Goku by the end of Z would have been leagues stronger than he was when he fought Buu who was able to rip open dimensions without trying AND was able to keep up with Goku in terms of skill. (Note that this was all mentioned & also ignoring BoG & RoF btw, as those did get revised in later versions).

Continuity isn't really a question. If this is a debunk of Death Battle, they tell you exactly what they're using. It's pretty obvious Toei was just BS'ing by saying it takes place between Z and GT if you consider that Toriyama likely didn't intend it that way seeing as he didn't work on GT at all and simply intended for it to be a continuation of his manga. Shueisha even confirmed this when they detailed the official timeline of Dragon Ball. Regardless, use whatever version you want. Goku wasn't more confident in thinking SSG could beat Beerus. He was just excited about seeing what it can do against Beerus. Either way, he already thought fusing was enough to defeat Beerus so his confidence level in SSG isn't a good indicator when he was confident in Vegito or Gogeta. It was King Kai who wasn't confident so it's King Kai's confidence level you should be looking at. But really, don't base anything on confidence level. Immeasurable speed isn't a thing. It's entirely fanmade. Don't use any of the BS made up by people on vsbw. Those people don't understand the physics they're using. You say "infinite power feats and statements," but only provide statements. You have no infinite power feats. Superman has infinite power feats. It's not even a close debate. It's pretty well established that androids and mechanical beings in Dragon Ball have infinite power as in they don't run out, that doesn't mean they can't utilize infinite power. For a simple analogy, consider all the fresh water in a lake. You might have access to all of that water, but you can only drink it 1 cup at a time. Yeah, Baby's death ball isn't a black hole. Anything with mass will distort space and any black hole even the smallest and weakest of black holes will open barriers to other dimensions. Sure Superman held a small black hole, but it was made that way specifically and it had destroyed entire galaxies. Goku didn't survive Planet Nameks destruction. He escaped on a ship before it exploded, but even if he did survive that explosion. It wasn't anywhere near even nova level. You can clearly still see the silhouette of Namek. For comparison, if Namek blew where Earth is, it wouldn't even reach Mars or Venus. Galaxies are never mentioned to have been destroyed in Dragon Ball in the original Japanese and it's not in one shot like you and many fans assume. Many things in space have an accretion disk so you can't assume that's a galaxy. If your only argument is the visual of a supposed galaxy being destroyed, you also have to consider the visual of how fast it's spinning which means it's either smaller than a planet or that it's time lapsed. Credit to you for staying in the Dragon Ball lane, but most of your "debunks" are really just assumptions.

One huge problem i have with this is Z’s BoG & RoF are not in the same timeline as GT,the only reason “evidence” to that even exists is bc it predates Super and thats literally it.
There are multiple cracks to this but the major 2 things are that very obviously the God forms do not exist in GT and vice versa,and Frieza has no Golden form in GT lol.
These are just 2 i can think off at the top of my head there’s at least 10 more reasons as to why the Z movies are not a prequel to GT.

The God forms? Akira Toriyama said in an interview that Goku doesn't need to transform into SSJ God anymore because he absorbed that power into his base. Super Saiyan Blue, fair enough. At the moment, I don't have any explanation for that. Also, my evidence is more for BoG, and not RoF. So I'll conceed on RoF being canon to GT.
I do think, however, that Freeza not using his Golden Form in GT isn't an issue. After all, Freeza is a reactive transformer (not like Megatron), as he's only ever shown transforming when there's a threat to his current power. In GT, Freeza is shown to be immortal in hell. So there's no need to use his Golden Form, as Goku poses no threat to him.
RoF, I will concede on, however.
I should also mention, that just because there are inconsistencies within a story, that doesn't mean that it can't exist within each other. For example, in the End of Z Bulma says she hasn't seen Goku for five years, but with Super that's clearly not true. But I wouldn't say Super isn't canon, just because there's an inconsistency.

When goku and kid buu fought on the kaioshin world, their fight heavily distorted the surface beyond recognition and here's the thing, that planet makes up 10% of universe 7, so we're looking at a massive cosmic body that's no different from new Genesis and apocalypse.
Back in 2014 before dbs and the movie revival of f. Akria Toriyama actually states in an interview that beerus can destroy the kaioshin world and, given the power scale difference he gave further back in 2013 or 2012 he said goku is a 6 and beerus is a 10 and whis is a 15.
So death battle's statement about ssjg goku's exact limits being difficult to pinpoint was nonsense. They were just lazy.

I’ll say this, as a fan of both characters, and ignoring any & everything past 2015 for these guys, I’m still convinced Goku wins this fight 9 times outta 10 at minimum. You can’t put an inconsistent character up against a character who’s consistent and expect inconsistency to win, that’s also as weird as saying a weight lifter beats a boxer, which funnily enough, Goku’s an actual fighter, as where Superman isn’t. That’s also not to mention Goku by the end of Z would have been leagues stronger than he was when he fought Buu who was able to rip open dimensions without trying AND was able to keep up with Goku in terms of skill. (Note that this was all mentioned & also ignoring BoG & RoF btw, as those did get revised in later versions).

Continuity isn't really a question. If this is a debunk of Death Battle, they tell you exactly what they're using. It's pretty obvious Toei was just BS'ing by saying it takes place between Z and GT if you consider that Toriyama likely didn't intend it that way seeing as he didn't work on GT at all and simply intended for it to be a continuation of his manga. Shueisha even confirmed this when they detailed the official timeline of Dragon Ball. Regardless, use whatever version you want.
Goku wasn't more confident in thinking SSG could beat Beerus. He was just excited about seeing what it can do against Beerus. Either way, he already thought fusing was enough to defeat Beerus so his confidence level in SSG isn't a good indicator when he was confident in Vegito or Gogeta. It was King Kai who wasn't confident so it's King Kai's confidence level you should be looking at. But really, don't base anything on confidence level.
Immeasurable speed isn't a thing. It's entirely fanmade. Don't use any of the BS made up by people on vsbw. Those people don't understand the physics they're using.
You say "infinite power feats and statements," but only provide statements. You have no infinite power feats. Superman has infinite power feats. It's not even a close debate. It's pretty well established that androids and mechanical beings in Dragon Ball have infinite power as in they don't run out, that doesn't mean they can't utilize infinite power. For a simple analogy, consider all the fresh water in a lake. You might have access to all of that water, but you can only drink it 1 cup at a time.
Yeah, Baby's death ball isn't a black hole. Anything with mass will distort space and any black hole even the smallest and weakest of black holes will open barriers to other dimensions. Sure Superman held a small black hole, but it was made that way specifically and it had destroyed entire galaxies.
Goku didn't survive Planet Nameks destruction. He escaped on a ship before it exploded, but even if he did survive that explosion. It wasn't anywhere near even nova level. You can clearly still see the silhouette of Namek. For comparison, if Namek blew where Earth is, it wouldn't even reach Mars or Venus.
Galaxies are never mentioned to have been destroyed in Dragon Ball in the original Japanese and it's not in one shot like you and many fans assume. Many things in space have an accretion disk so you can't assume that's a galaxy. If your only argument is the visual of a supposed galaxy being destroyed, you also have to consider the visual of how fast it's spinning which means it's either smaller than a planet or that it's time lapsed.
Credit to you for staying in the Dragon Ball lane, but most of your "debunks" are really just assumptions.

I'm willing to admit, Superman wins. Goku's never hit someone so hard that alternate versions of that character felt it. But that doesn't mean I can't still point out the inaccuracies in these videos.
