For 2D, I said create competitions for fishing them (was inspired by a documentary on lionfish I watched). It’s a bit out the box, so I hope the readers count it!
for 2d, i randomly said the government should give tax incentives to fishermen who specifically go after asian carp but idek. i have no idea if we got those points but fingers crossed we did
I said that the carp’s natural predator should be introduced to the areas to control the carp population, for the benefit, I put that there would be an increase in biodiversity
@@planetofari-cf9ol collegeboard always has more than 1-2, but the ones that aren't posted are usually "tester" sets to test alternate forms/questions and are administered in very small amounts. i got a few of these non-released sets already on my exams this year. it's annoying because they'll probably never get released... also not to be that guy but because they aren't released i wouldn't talk too openly about them or else you might get in uhoh big troubles 0__0
for 2d if you just said increasing commercial fishing of the carp that would probably work right? also the benefit of doing that could be increased food supply for humans
Hey Mr.Smedes I was wondering if you will do another live stream. I missed the first exam and so now i have to pay $40 for a retake :( and I want to get as much education because im scared that imma forget :C
For part 2D, would saying the following also count as a good answer: One realistic solution in reducing the distribution of Asian carp is enacting policies that limit the amount of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer use, which would reduce the amount of algae growth and can help decrease the amount of food available for the carp, making their distribution smaller.
As someone who takes AP Chem and AP Physics and not APES, this answer is logically sound from a normie’s perspective. Maybe a simple but it’s very straight to the point. Hope you did well.
You must have had set 3 which is basically their “test” set and is never released because they may use it for future tests. If your frq had sea lampreys in it then you had set 3.
For the Asian carp solution to stop their spread, I proposed government subsidies for catching Asian carp. It’s additional benefit is that it provides economic opportunity to fisherman
It sounds reasonable to me! The only trick is it may be a bit difficult to implement and sometimes rubrics are really stringent in terms of how easy a solution would be to implement. We'll just have to see if it's an accepted answer on the rubric when it's released later this summer.

@@qianyue.c same, hoping for a 4 but if I don’t get it a 3 will suffice
i said that as well because we never went over controlling invasive marine species 😭
