It is hard to explain but there is a very peaceful feeling I get when taking a boat trip to an Island. Then when I see a place like Chicken Rock or a cave, it gets even better.
Krabi is so beautiful! There’s tons of great rock climbing in Krabi. It’s one of the first place we took our then 5 and 3 year old after we moved overseas.
Visited Ao Nang the first time in 1997. Was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Since then I have revisited Thailand every year, except for the last year for the obvious reason, but never returned to Ao Nang again..

I remember the sea lice constantly attacking my arms and legs whilst swimming in the ocean here, and the little fish nipping the dead skin from your feet and limbs - kind of like small electric shocks. You get used to it after a while, but boy is it a shock at first.
Thank you my friend for the update on another island, Krabi very close to the wonderful Phi Phi islands. The COVID situation and the new regulations in Thai are regrettable. I continue to monitor the situation daily since it is my wish to travel in Nov / 2021.💖
Karst islands are one of my favourite geologic formations. They can be so spectacular. Thailand has some of the best in the world and so does Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
A long, long time ago... I spent five days in Koh Poda. There was not food available and I ate all the food I brought by the second day. I was so hungry all the time. I had to eat coconuts and it took me hours to get to the fruit with my pocket knife. It was the only place I ever found with no mosquito nets and the bungalow was infested with big big scary spiders. But we had the island just for me and my girlfriend after 4pm when the tours were gone. One of the best times in my life.

Som Tam is best. Yeah, that location is 8 degress north latitude, so the water temp is always consistently warm. And clear.

I rember doing the island hopping. In krabi. It was 4 islands 1 hour each and I didn't like it cause they all looked the same and it was super hot.
