Why no one mentions the fact, how well-organised this video is? Lovely to no bullshit information, everything is well labelled, clear instructions where we can find more information. Rare to find these kinds of gems in the sea of content. Lovely work, thanks guys, will start follow you. :)
Could not have said it better myself. Your videos have been so pleasant to watch and helpful on refining where we travel next!! You are now our first stop for information.
Another good destination near Krabi are the saline hot springs, one of the very few hot saltwater springs in the world. I went there yesterday, and was the only foreigner. Tourists don't seem to know about this place, and it's not far from the Emerald Pool and cascading hot springs. Another cool activity at Railay is to climb up to the viewpoint from where there's an awesome view of the peninsula. You can also descend to the lagoon below.
I've been to Thailand many times and pretty much saw the most know places, but Krabi is one of the few places I never went yet. I'm heading over there this summer, so thanks for the inspirational ideas.
I am watching this from Ao Nang on my 2nd day, travelling overland by car from the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur ❤ crowded and touristy but worth the visit - whilst it's too early to tell, I could already do so ❤
Awesome I have stayed in Ao Nang in Feb 2018 and Feb 2020 on my 3rd and 4th Thailand trip respectively,. I have visited all the places in the video (except the clubbing part). On my 3rd trip to Thailand, I did stay 5 nights in Ao Nang, then 3 nights in Koh Phi Phi Don, then 1 night in Koh Lanta but I did see a few beaches there and then 3 nights in Koh Lipe in the deep south. Personally, I prefer Krabi over Phuket any day
Absolutely agreed with the Krabi over Phuket part! Krabi was our favorite region in the south. We also made it to Koh Lipe, such a beautiful slice of paradise...
Great overview video! The only thing I found a bit odd that I would want to make clear to folks is: While Koh Lanta Yai was the only island described as "small" in this video, it is by far the biggest island mentioned in this video.
"Massive thanks for this video on '10 things to do in Krabi'! Having had the chance to visit this area, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the suggestions and how beautifully Krabi's beauty was captured. This video brought back wonderful memories and made me want to go back immediately. Thank you for this inspiring retrospective and for reigniting my passion for Krabi! 🌴🌅"
Namaste.. your videos are so peaceful and from the start of the video we get glued in .Your calm and peaceful demeanour is cherry on the cake.I am visiting krabi in dec 2023 and planning to follow your itinerary.
Greetings Zac and 8na! Love your vids! Keep up the good work! My partner and I are visiting Krabi the top of August, which we know to be the rainy season. What activities do you suggest if we get hit with a lot of rain while we're there? Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! 😊 You could definitely still do the Tiger Cave Temple, Hot Springs, Emerald Pool, and the night market. There are also other activities like a Thai cooking class... It's rainy seasons but the rains might be short and sharp storms (like an hour or two). So hopefully you'll be all fine! I heard climbing courses are available year-round too
Hey! How many days do u recommend for Krabi, just to see the main attractions? I am doing to Phuket for 10 days and I want to see Krabi as well, but I am not sure if 3 days, for example, are enough?
Hi there 1st of all, love your video. This is the 1st one I have watched which really gave me some direction Question. : can I plan this trip along with my soon to be mom wife ? And if yes then what all should I avoid and surely must do. Your reply would be very helpful If there is anything else you want to suggest. Please do.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Yes, it's definitely a safe destination that you can visit with your mom wife. You might want to fly into the airport near Krabi instead of Phuket (from Phuket it's a bit long bus ride). There are many great hotels in Ao Nang, and you can probably do the day tours on the mainland, and maybe make your way to Railay Beach to enjoy some sun and relaxation
Hmm both are nice! Phi Phi Don has less things to do, except for relaxing at the beach, a hike to the viewpoint, and a tour to Maya Bay. From Ao Nang, there are more cool things to do, but it's the bigger one of the two with more resorts (so feels less like a paradise island). Maybe you can combine both? We stayed 6 nights in Ao Nang and did many trips and activities, we also stayed 2 night on Phi Phi Don.
Great Video, We're going to Thailand for my wife's 50th. We like great beaches scenery and reasonable night life not too sleazy. Question is Krabi or Khao Lak ? Then which part of Phuket ? for the second week Thanks
Sounds like an amazing present! Krabi is busier than Khao Lak. Khao Lak is more for relaxing, Krabi has tons of things to do. For Phuket, we'd recommend staying at the west side, but outside Patong. Areas like Karon, Kata Beach, or Ya Nui are better in our opinion.
I have been looking at a lot of your Thailand videos and planning places to visit. Great videos by the way. Did you look up all these places before hand, or was it word of mouth, did locals tell you where to go? Do I have to plan everything ahead or can I just find different adventures there?
Thank you! We usually do research before we visit a place. But once we're there, we get more recommendations from other travelers and locals that we add to our plans! So you definitely don't need to book everything in advance. For some people it's just a piece of mind... others like to be more flexible and go with the flow! 😉 Have a great trip!
We stayed about a week. Minimum we would say is 3-4 days. Lots of things to do in and around Krabi! July can get a bit rainy because it’s raining season
Hi i just watched this video, as i'm planing to go to thailand. This video has great information i really like it. Thank you! Krabi was an option to go to but i'm not sure if it's a good time to go by the end of october beginning november? I don't know much about the rainseason in thailand. Or are there other places in thailand you would recommend to go instead of krabi?
The raining season generally lasts from June to October... so November might be better! However, the climate has been changing so much that even in April last year we had some major storms in that area!
Hi! We are planning to visit that area in February for 5 days. Any suggestion on where to be based to see most of the place around? After that we will go to Ko Tao. Thank you
Do I understand correctly that I should stay in Ao Nang for 3-4 days and travel to Phi Phi, Hong Island, Railey and Ko Kai from there? Or should I stay in each place for a night?
Depends on you. I wouldn’t change location every night, that would be exhausting. You could base yourself in Ao Nang and visit Hong Island and Railay from there. You could stay one or two nights in Phi Phi Don and visit Maya Bay from there as well.
Hello Zac and Ine, thank you for such an informative video! I am planning to visit Krabi in a couple of months, where in Krabi would you recommend that we stay?
We stayed in Ao Nang which was a good base to explore other places from. Another beautiful place to stay would be Railay, though you’re a little more limited in doing trips from there (as it’s only accessible by boat).
I have been there. Saw the fire show. That shit is nuts! Beautiful place. Edit: Climbed the Tiger Temple. Walking down actually wrecks you. Watch out for monkey gangs! They will grab your stuff! Restore with a good smoothie at the shop and keep watch for monkeys.
How long does it take to get to PP island from Krabi? On the full day tour, how many hours are you on a boat? The day trip looks great but I don’t want to spend hours on a boat moving from one place to the next. Thanks
It takes at least 45 mins by speedboat to get to Phi Phi. But even at Phi PHi, you still will go by boat between all the different islands... If you're concerned about too much time on the boat, it might be better to take a ferry to Phi PHi Don and then stay a few days. Do a boat tour from Phi Phi Don to Maya Bay!
Thanks! 😄 we don’t show a separate video on Koh Tao as we didn’t spend enough time to make a full video (we also got pretty sick when we were there so that didn’t help!). We do have a video about Koh Samui coming this Saturday and next week an overall Thailand video with our top 15 places!
Good tips and nice content. Just FYI, your music volume is very loud- your voice and the volume of the background music do not match and I couldn’t watch till the end because of the piercing music all of sudden then your quiet voice then loud background music again. Too much
Well we were there for multiple days so we took drone shots at different moments. Like we went back to Railay twice so the shots were not all taken on the day trip. Also, we have 3 batteries for our drone! 😀
@@worldwildhearts oh i see! Do you have any suggestion on alternatives for the remote control battery dying while being outside? Or do you just have go back and charge for another day? (Sucks it doesn't run for long)
To be honest, that would be a very busy 3 days and you would spend most of your time travelling, rather than seeing/doing stuff! Phuket is by far the biggest island and you could easily spend a week and not see it all. We have just returned from 2 1/2 weeks in this area - we spent 3 nights/4 days on Phuket, then a boat to Phi Phi Don for 4 nights/5 days stay, then on to Koh Lanta for a 6 nights/7 days stay. We returned via road to Phuket via Krabi for a further 2 night/3 days stay. We still had lots to see and do! Phi Phi and Lanta were our favourites by a country mile over Phuket

We are going today. Thanks for the vid. Chiang Mai, koh samui, koh tao, koh nang yuan, to Krabi.
Krabi was the best place I visited in Thailand. I spent four days here and i had a great time. I hope to return again someday.
