"Colors feel muted for me." YAAASS! That's what it feels like. And then when you are coming out of that space suddenly the sun is brighter, the sky is bluer, the trees are greener, etc.
I don't know what the actual intention was, it could have been anything, but every time I see her in B&W on the raft and then the super colorful bird come in, I just think of that Emily Dickinson poem: " 'Hope' is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul".
