** Plot
Continuing the plot of Half-Life 2 and Episode One, Episode Two consists of seven chapters telling the story of Gordon Freeman and Alyx Vance's journey to a large resistance base called White Forest. The Combine's Earth-stationed forces have used the destruction of the Citadel to begin opening a massive super portal, through which their army will be able to invade once it reaches critical size. However, as explained by Dr. Kleiner's broadcast in Episode One, it has also inflicted a portal and communications blackout, leaving the Combine isolated and disorganized in the meantime. In addition, Combine Advisors, some of them still unhatched from their pods, are scattered about the region after evacuating the Citadel. A crucial part of the plot is the transmission packet which the Combine sacrificed the Citadel to send, copied by Alyx and Gordon before making their escape. It contains data on the formation of the super portal, which the resistance can use to collapse the portal before it forms completely.

Wow. Now I see why people want a half life 3 so badly.

Jon's way of killing hunters is WAY better than mine. He just shoots logs at them while i shoot them with a rocket and then get a few shots in with my SMG.

I think in halflife 3 the combine will find the borealis way before Gordan and Alyx. So when they get to the location the borealis is gone.So they would have to find Aperture Science itself to find out what technology is on the borealis. But when they get to Aperture Science and inside they meet GLaDOS and discover the portal gun. The combine will then find them. GLaDOS captures Gordon and Alyx puts them in Statis. Then releases neurotoxins to kill the combine in areas. Then Portal 3 starts.

Anyone else think that to destroy the Borealis, Gordon will have to sacrifice either himself or Alyx? PLOT TWIST
Since Gordon was around 22-25 when Alyx was born and he was in stasis up until around 3-4 days ago, don't you think it would be a little weird for them to hook up? I mean, less than a week ago, he knew her as a kid around the age of 1-3. Sure, Dr. Vance seems to not only be okay with it but outright encourage it, it has got to be a little disorienting to see a coworker's infant daughter suddenly become a gorgeous rebel hottie. She was in diapers last he saw her; he missed the "growing up" part.

Okay I see no one has bitten on the kickstarter thing I threw out. Well how about this one....
2018 will be the 20th Anniversary of Half-Life. Someone here in the comments already pointed out some rumors or whatever. I say, it's gotta happen. It's time. Too long of a gap has passed between episode two and where we are now where Valve has made this graphics and physics engine to take advantage of what I feel will be Half-Life 3.
However, I don't expect it to come out in 2018. Instead, they'll bring out Half-Life 2: Episode 3 to complete the 2nd entry in general, pretty much setting things up for HL3. Don't worry, HL3 would be announced around the release of Episode 3.
That's pretty much the logical way of seeing this. Valve knows it, and they know that those of us are going with that prediction. They got their work cut out, since so many other games have come out over the years that has done such innovative gameplay.

They told that Half-Life 2 Episode 3 should be out after the orage box, and that came out a long time ago. Half-Life 2 episode 3 will never come.

Gabe said that himself . No more Episodes , if Valve decides to release next title it'll be Half Life 3 .
So, Valve member said to sum up :
1. There will not be any HL3
2. Then that they're working on a new physics and graphical engine and that they're waiting for THE GAME to use it.
3. Then they said that they saw ppl wanted a HL3 but that there wont be one as long as they think there is not enough fans asking for it... (September 2014 info)
What I think : HL3 will be released one day, not soon I think, but it will be released. I know a Half Life movie is going to be released and directed by JJ Abrams, so maybe it will be at this time...

No you don't. It's quite easy if you just know how to kill hunters. What you do is before you go to the sawmill, just go to all dispensers and put at least 2 of them out
I didnt play episode two because it was a expansion and usally I dont buy expansion for video games. The ending is a bang and man it was good. I would thought eli gonna talk about some secrets about black mesa or something but it didnt. My theory about G man is hes a alien not human and he seeks destruction on earth or total domination. When the first half life 1 incident happens he got trapped inside the portal and the aliens create a alien like g man.
It is so fucking easy to kill a hunter with these woods, and just now I know it... okay, let's try it! Thanks! All the time they kill me, I just used combine balls and rockets to kill them, now it is easier with woods! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Valve will probably give HL3 alot more replay value in order to give themselves time for HL4.

Well CoD and Half Life 1 and 2 differ greatly. For one, Half Life has an actual story, you can hold an arsenal of weapons, and all the characters are liked by many and you don't die from just a few shots. So while you're entitled to your opinion, just remember that all FPS's you're "fighting the same enemy 10000 times". But the more you do it, the more fun it gets. And plus, work on your english. No offence but that kind of typing makes you look like you're just learning grammar.
