This was a long time coming. Hope you all enjoy the show! even if it is 1 minute 30 seconds long. I feel it packs a punch.

Eventually planes broke a sound barrier. So the problem occured. Eventualaly conditions became harsh enough to cause panit to constantly fall of. Identification marks on Soviet aircraft continued to be erased. Thus the new types of paint were developed able to withstand hight temperature and constant friction.
And now I'm going to ask you to sit down more firmly. So quote: "However, given its rather weak resistance to increased radiation, especially in a marine climate, and the rapid loss of gloss with intense chalking, fluoroplastoepoxide enamel was created"

@Gronkers Well same can be said of any vehicle really. Destroy a critical component X and it's useless.
Even bigger issue with tanks, blow one track off and the tank is a sitting duck.
Also for tanks getting immobilized in tank on tank battle means certain death, not to mention that all it needs is a single infantry soldier with a potent AT weapon.
In my opinion everything has their pros and cons. When it comes down to two legged walkers it really comes down to the setting and a multitude of variables.
For example look at Titanfall, in that setting I would rather have a Titan than a tank simply for the sheer amount of utility the Titan brings to the table on top of their combat effectiveness.
When it comes down to a dreadnough... well let's just say that you are talking some mad shit on Assault Cannon range.

This actually makes sense if we think about it. Dreadnoughts are masters of war who have lived for hundreds if not thousands of years. They are constantly lubricated and worshipped whilst they slumber to prevent any harm while they rest. Once awoken, their experience, knowledge, wisdom, and foresight are their 1st tools. Those that are deployed are virtually unstoppable because of their combat prowess. In the stories most of us have read, few enemies have been able to rival a dreadnought.
I realize the game has balance to ensure every player has fun; but it's nice to see how the Ancient Ones are supposed to be depicted from the books. It's refreshing to NOT see 3 Venerables completely decimated by a single squad of Orkk Boys because my friends dakkadakka 6s are unstoppable...

    • @YetAnotherTechRaccoon
      @YetAnotherTechRaccoon 2 года назад +191

While all of that is true, the conditioning it requires to continue to serve while in a giant metal death dealing casket is still horrifying. The way the books explain it, I cannot imagine being ok with not just resting forever. Even if it is an honor and privilege to be considered for continued service. The constant sleep for super long periods of time, only to be awaken during times of war, then back to conditioned sleep... its bonkers and fitting of the 40k Universe.

Of all the Legions, we are the only ones who are exactly what the Emperor wanted, all that the Legiones Astartes were ever meant to be. Conquerors. We aren't meant for the world that is coming, the new world that will rise from the ashes. We are only meant to burn this one down." Max's "Dread" series is amazing for really getting across and accurately portraying the *True Imperial MIGHT* of these steel behemoths. These are war machines created for the sole purpose of rapid annihilation of the strongest enemy forces all while being nigh impenetrable walls of mayhem, their Bulwark construction only rivalled by *literal TANKS.* Wielding some of the heaviest and most destructive weapons in the Imperium's arsenal, exceeded only by the weaponry of the near-godlike Titans of the Knights Errant, manned by a veteran Astartes that has seen hundreds if not *thousands* of years of combat.
These machines are the closest thing to being the Avatars of War, and it's an absolute *crime* they haven't been depicted very often or very well in official GW media.

Later, AbsolutelyNothing was told to either join them or demonetize his work, which he did.
After that, GW changed its stance to only allow for licenced animations.
Then, Alfabusa quit because "asking GW for a licence would expose me", as if knowingly refusing to adjust his position would be of any help, and as if they didn't already know about him, and kept his stuff on a monetized Patreon (it doesn't matter that you don't really have to pay to view them, that's how it works) while, given GW's stance, the sensible thing would have been to keep all Warhammer-related stuff on a demonetized platform, and keep the new projects on Patreon. Still, they didn't go after him.
Now, I don't really like how aggressive they are in protecting their IP, but I know this isn't the exception but the norm. And the mindset "I know I could get a licence and make money off of it, but fuck you anyways" doesn't help anyone.

So get that fact straight, for starters.
Following that, the only people ACTUALLY struck (TTS were ones who CHOSE to pre-emptively stop animating, using directly copied art assets no less, rather than ask for a license etc) have been direct 3D print IP violations/rip offs or stuff that infringes brand reputation - i.e. as far as I know it was something heavily NSFW daemonette stuff.
TL;DR stop trying to make money off of other peoples IPs, development and miniature design and, amazingly, no one has any problems! Who'da thunk it.

Really loved everything about the animation! The brutality, combat intelligence and especially the movement of the Dreadnought... superb!
Only one remark from a lore-perspective: a dreadnought (chassis) is a venerated part of the any chapters armoury, and in the case of many chapters, a respected advisor or counsellor in the command structure of the chapter. (That's maybe also a bit of a personal gripe towards Waking Dread, but that's another subject). So it would be a most exceptional situation in which such a prized relic would be deployed as a single entity on the battlefield, without support. I can only recall this happening as part of re-enforcements for already engaged units on the ground in the lore (but I must admit that my reading of the lore is far from 100% hahaha).
I understand that this clip is short enough not to need that context, and once again... I really enjoyed it! So please take my comment just as something to keep in mind if this excellent little clip gets (hopefully) many sequels and builds into a little story.

Absolutely amazing. I love everything about this. I'm so glad you're still releasing animations. This video is a shining example of what the community can create to show their love for such an iconic series. Hopefully we can claw our freedom back from the Ruinous Powers That Be (GW) so animators and creators no longer have to fear for their safety. Eagerly looking forward to more!
