      Agreed...Kind of reminds me of that story i read some years ago about how the "Keef Burst" Les Paul was going to be sold at auction, and I thought to myself..."How can someone sell the Keef Burst when it was stolen from Keith Richards?"....I mean, Keith still technically owns it, right?

    Personally, I think the early 50’s guitars should be the high dollar value collectable ones. A friend of mine has a 52 with the full trapeze string under tailpiece. Neck like a baseball bat, slightly better condition to this instrument. I still recall the glorious tone through a cranked traynor bassmaster with two twin 12 cabinets around 1970 -71 to this day! P90’s on LesPauls are special!

    A truly amazing story! What i really appreciate about things like this is it does show/prove that there are still
    people out there that are genuine kind giving souls. The guy could have gotten some decent $$$ for this Les Paul
    even in it's ravaged state! But he decided to give it to someone that could not only get it restored properly
    but would play it all the time! 👍I had a similar experience where i was looking to buy a old Original Charvel
    Strat neck and these are very difficult to find and are really expensive. anyway a guy just gifted me
    a perfectly working, in excellent shape , 1980 Charvel Strat neck!😲 He did not even let me cover the shipping?
    Bottom line humanity is not lost, there are still very kind people out there! Peace😎

      online and he would not let me give him any money for it! He did not even let me cover the shipping!
      What was i supposed to do just tell him to forget the whole thing? You cannot make someone accept things.

    Came to this video right after watching Tobias Hoffman demo a 54 P90 Goldtop. It’s incredible how different the tone is from that one. Tobias’s was one of the clearest, most chimey, glassy sounding Les Pauls I’ve ever heard. This is a really nice guitar but it just sounds like a common dark Les Paul tone.

    • @These_go_to_eleven_1959
      @These_go_to_eleven_1959 10 месяцев назад

      What amp was Tobias using though? the amp has a lot to do with the tone obviously.
      My 2018 true historic R9 is a incredible clear , chimey Les Paul but through some amps not so much.

      Whoa slow down there Mr find them guilty without knowing the whole story! Have you considered that the guy
      that found the guitar in his back yard did look into it's original owner? Maybe in the future gather more facts before you condemn others.

      There's a lot to the story of this guitar that doesn't get shared. The original owner had passed away by the time TJ was able to track down who it originally belonged to - and his granddaughter (I believe) stated that they had received an insurance payout for the guitar and said he was welcome to keep the guitar body. "T"s we're crossed and "I"s we're dotted.. kudos to TJ for making sure everything was squared away and on the level.

    • @zeroceiling
      @zeroceiling Год назад

      @@Ben6Strings …our law actually does give the original owner the right to claim an item back that has either been lost or stolen, provided that they can provide accurate and authentic provenance / evidence that proves the object once belonged to them….and the person who found it or bought it from a third party can’t do the same or provide a bill of sale from the original owner….that’s the law on the books today.

    • @Ben6Strings
      @Ben6Strings Год назад

      @@zeroceiling if an item is left unreported (not claimed) for so long, and it finds it's way to somebody else's possession (by legal means) it then becomes their possession.
      Either way, the guy who fixed the guitar already replied and explained how Jared actually got permission from the family who owned it (and they already got an insurance claim). So you're not really making much of a point.
