Yea it's a darn shame Tony was too green to capitalize on Eddie being over last year.
A lot of wrestlers' acting style is too specific to wrestling (i.e. overacting) but Eddie could definitely do legit acting with a bit of training. I'd be so interested to see it.

I'm just worried how badly he'll be injuring himself because he knows how highly fans are waiting this to deliver. The physicality of the match will have to be over the top. It's not like let's say his wrestlemania triple threat when it was about the drama of the storytelling. Sure he went hard there and through a table but got to rest and build for the big winning moment.

Never not special to see the Rainmaker on Dynamite. I've only seen a couple of his matches, but I've never seen a bad one. With Danielson, this should be all time great. I just hope theres nothing screwy with the finish and they just let them wrestle.
If you are interested in seeing some more of Okada's work, he had a trilogy of matches with Kenny Omega in New Japan. Some of the best wrestling you could see in any promotion.

there are a lot of things AEW does not get props for but that Kingston Moxley bit was intense but the sheer fact they gave the ring to Danielson and okada was perfection. yeah Yuta got involved but that moment that little moment right there where Danielson and Okada were in the ring and you felt that electric. you do not get many moments like that and I really hope sunday delivers
Actually for us NJPW fans , Yuta doing this is right on the mark in Okada's current story line , Okada has been targeted by young up and comers who want to a make a name for himself and prove they are the best by beating the best, legit the last few months have been Okada beating up these kids. Kevin Kelly called it "the okada day care, and Okada aint got no patience"......First it was Kaito Kiyomiya (NOAH) , then it was Narita Ren , then Umino Shota ....all of them got wrecked , now Yuta trying to step up ,and gets destroyed..... I laughed so hard it was amazing ! You can bet these up and comers are gonna after him in the G1 too. Another thing is Okada has been slowly returning back to his cocky , arrogant attitude from when he was younger and its really refreshing because that was the original rainmaker gimmick.....I hope he brings that out against Brian.

It’s on the tip of the breaking point, but still barely holding on.
Notice how once the rest of the BCC attack Kingston, Moxley actually flees instead of joining in with the ambush.
There’s still that part of Mox that values his camaraderie with Eddie, but it’s currently underneath both his frustration over Kingston not putting his (justified) hatred for Claudio to bed like he had asked beforehand months ago, as well as his dedication to pushing the end goals of the BCC to ushering a new era of Pro-Wrestling through absolute violence.
It really is a shame that long-term wrestling storytelling like that just flies over the head of the casual viewer unless it's the only thing in a company that matters, like the Bloodline.

Was anyone really that worried when Wheeler Yuta jumped Okada? I rag on Yuta a lot. He's an athlete and in better shape than me, sure. He has heart and he works hard to do what he does, sure. But when he had his arms around Okada, he looked like a child trying to give his father a bear hug. And his punches still look weaker than anything thrown by any of the joshi. He looks like he couldn't compete against most of the joshi. And I don't mean to sound like I'm disparaging the joshi wrestlers. I'm not using them as the comparison because they're women; I'm comparing them because other than Fuego del Sol, they're the only wrestlers really close to Yuta's size.
Joshi wrestlers hit HARD tho.
