Thank you! Yes G4 would be the best that LG has to offer and it does come with great piece of mind in the 5 year panel warranty, there really wouldn’t be a need for an additional warranty purchase through Best Buy. Taking gaming out of the equation in my opinion with the G4 you’re getting better color, better brightness, and better image processing.

Per the antenna watching question turned off the power saving features. The picture looks so over blown compared to older oled. The G3 didn’t have the reddish tint appearance. Thanks for the info.
@@ARL773 If I was going 48inch I'd probably do the B4. Its going to be a Computer Monitor. I just can't see much difference in the B4 to C4, am I wrong?
I don’t typically its not too much cheaper but you can go open box route through best buy because they ship open box to hone under 55” and there is usually an excellent condition one available.
@ thanks for getting back to me. Your video on the Bravia 8 sold me on it over the c4. I’m coming from a 55 a95k so I was worried going from qd to woled would feel like a downgrade but I’m thinking the 77 size will make up for it
@ one more question for you, I felt the Bravia 8 oled was the better tv compared to the c4 because of the color accuracy, how do you say Bravia 8 does vs the g4? Does the g4 come closer to being more accurate, or does the Bravia 8 still beat it?
I don’t really know I’ve never measured the TVs, but talking to real professional calibrators both are TVs that if you care about accuracy you still need to get them professionally calibrated. I wouldn’t calibrate either TV personally its good enough, but thats just how I feel. If you’re worried about the best accuracy out of the box get a S90D or S95D it doesn’t cone any closer than those.
I'm looking at the 83" B4 vs C4 for movies and streaming my open living room with a lot of light at the end of the day. The specs look almost identical just a brightness difference in C4. Is it worth the extra $800?? Do you think there will be more of a price drop on Black Friday or should I just scoop up now?
So I had custom settings for Dolby vision on Cinema and Cinema home but now Cinema is gone and it’s just Filmaker mode? Do I have to customize Filmmaker mode now?
My 77" A80J is still amazing, no need to replace it. I have a 65" A95K and honestly, the PQ difference is there, but once you start watching something, you don't even notice that stuff anymore. The size is what makes the biggest difference. Watching a movie on the 77" A80J is >>>>than on the 65" A95K, even though the A95K has better PQ.
I made the switch from the LG C1 77" to the LG G4 83", and it's well worth the upgrade. It's in my dedicated theater room, and it gets extremely bright. I won't be upgrading from that TV for a long time. The LG C1 77" still looks phenomenal, but the G4 is on another level.
So one of the big difference between the C4 and the B4 is the gaming capability? Since I’ll never be gaming on my choice TV I don’t see paying an additional $800 for that feature. Please confirm.
Does the 65" still suffer from the green tint? Does the 77" have it? Was on the fence between 65c4 or 65 bravia 8. I'm used to sony processing, so will the LG be good enough, or do they still lag behind sony?
It can this is a factory panel issue that is kind of luck based on how bad the tinting can be, my B4 didn’t have any but C4 did and others have said their B4 did. Processing is better with Sony I noticed better clarity at times, but outside of game mode HDR brightness isn’t as good on Sony. However in game mode LG is worse with brightness and color.
@TechWithKG I'm not a big gamer, so that would be the last thing for me to look for. I'm more concerned with the tint on the LG, and the processing for Sony. I've heard the C4 is brighter, so I've got to decide on whether I need the extra brightness, or the processing. It will be in the bedroom, so definitely light controlled room.
That depends on your budget and how far you sit, if you sit like 10+ feet away you have to go 83 IMO but if you are closer to 7 feet away or less 77 would work fine
I just switched my 65 inch s90d to a g4 and it was 100% worth it, I also got it for $2k because Amazon sent me a used TV so they exchanged it for a new one with a partial refund. When I had the s90d I was having nothing but problems with my high end PC using a home theater system with Atmos and reading online I'm not the only one, I also like accurate colors so I didn't like that over saturated look of the Samsung imo they implemented the QD terribly compared to sony, tizen is a joke of a UI/OS, I also watch a lot of RUclips and streaming if I don't feel like getting up to get out a Blu-ray so the compression handling was definitely a needed upgrade too. I missed dts support since I do use physical media, all in all it's a better all around TV for me.
KG - 2 questions- why does antenna tv watching on the G4 look so washed out? When the G4 is turned off why does the screen give off a reddish tint? Is this normal?
Not sure about the first one could be a signal issue or the wrong settings (check auto piwer save options). G4 red tint when screen is off is normal yes, this is how the panels that use MLA within are they use a Manta Black AR coating.
I'm looking to purchase a TV with High Quality digital sound out with an eARC port for my audiophile stereo. I listen to a lot of music. Would there be any difference in sound quality over the b, c and g series?
They all work great in a dark room for gaming. MLA is never needed it’s a luxury purchase decision for people who want top of the line G4 is an enthusiast’s TV.
Hardly a noticeable difference unless you’re really looking next to each other, the C4 is a brighter image but not like the difference between the C4 and G4 its a much less noticeable difference than that.
They are similar, C3 is a little brighter with HDR but C3 loses that brightness and color brightness in game mode compared to outside of game mode making it nearly identical looking to the B4 in game mode. If you want an OLED TV for gaming around that price range I would suggest to go for Samsung S90D if you can.
Hey KG, do you know if the Apple TV or the Google streamer could give you better brightness performance then sometimes the installed apps when it comes to the mid-range OLEDs in HDR content through Netflix?
Thanks for all your hard work on these videos! I’m really struggling with my buying decision. Looking to upgrade from 65” Sony A8H for the PS5 Pro. Mostly PS5 & Switch single-player gaming & RUclips with some streaming/movies once or twice a week. Setup is in a dedicated dark room with blackout curtains. Was looking at 77” A80L to stick with Sony processing & Google tv but could go 83” on the B4 for same price. These both have same brightness levels as current TV, which I’ve been happy with so far. Also considering 77” S90D but worried about LG & Samsung processing coming from a Sony. LG seems to have the better processing & A11 has been compared to Sony XR Clear. I could stretch my budget to go with the 77” G4 or 77” S95D but not sure if the extra brightness/hdr pop is really worth it. I’m looking for a decent upgrade that will wow me & I’ll be happy with for 5 years. Would really appreciate your opinion.
Definitely some tough decisions for you I think Sony is great but if you plan on having separate audio, I like the value of 83” B4 because size cannot be underestimated for immersion at $2,499 that is hard to argue against if you’re not stretching for premium in S95D or G4 the 83” B4 seems like a solid choice. However if you do decide you want to stretch your budget you really can’t go wrong with G4 or S95D, ive been vocal about how much I like the depth provided from the G4 and how much I liked the color brightness of the S95D, it really does come down to what you want the most out of your picture preference.
It doesn’t have the Evo branding. Evo is a combination of different requirements for LG to classify a TV as Evo. The TV is glossy but a different kind of coating like a semigloss almost.
I saw other videos of yours and you mentioned the fact that the lg c4 has temporary image retention while gaming. Is that going to be a dealbreaker for a "true gamer"? does it have that issue in every size?
Yes, whether its a dealbreaker depends on your tolerance for it. For reference this can be seem on B4 as well though not as bad it fades away quicker, but it’s not something I see on the G4.
Hello. Thank you for this detailed video. My dilemma is deciding between the C4, the Bravia 8, and the s90d. Do you have a video on those 3 comparisons? I'd like to know your opinion. Thank you. PS Picture quality is important, gaming is not.
In my opinion, picture quality is similar with all but I do give the edge to the S90D due to panel technology. S90D has the best capability of the 3 being the better panel technology it has a color advantage in both low and high luminance. Bravia 8 will have the best low quality handling, C4 and S90D similar in that area. Uniformity I found that W-OLED like C4 and Bravia 8 have looked worse than QD OLED like S90D, so you’ll likely be getting a better experience there with the S90D. Hope this helps.
Currently have the 77 C2 and its great but was thinking of upgrading to the G Series. Is there going to be much difference between the G4 and the G5? Thanks and great channel!
Great video - thanks for explaining. What would you recommend is better between a Samsung QN85D and a LG OLED B4? They are both priced similarly in the UK and I am considering these to replace a 2020 Samsung QLED TV that broke.
Bro I need help like now lol. The 77 g4 is 3500 until tomorrow or should I get the 77 c4 for 2200?? I’m not worried about the extra money if it’s worth it?
Wngineering background dray away from OLED. Sure, the picture is beautiful don’t get me wrong but they have a high burnout rate and usually lasts only about 3 to 4 years
I'm an engineer too. Send me a report you have read, proving that most OLED TVs don't last longer than three years; also one that compares and contrasts different pixel layouts, explaining what would bring about accelerated wear for each case. Even if someone succeeds at this, there is no typical user. It's about hours of use, how bright people set it at, and how many static elements they have in their source material. If some obese couch potato who plays video games for several hours a week or watches football; drinking beer, eating pizza and chicken wings, instead of going to the gym, playing sports, or taking care of their house, wrecks their TV before three years passes, I don't really feel sorry for them.
Hey KG, as usual another great video. My question is should I purchase an LG G4 from Best Buy or Amazon? The price is the same at both places so I'm looking at what retailer would have the best advantage.
Your better bet would be Best Buy because of the holiday return policy this means in case there is some random flash sale where this is less money, Best Buy has the price guaranteed up to middle of January so you can price match in that case.
@TechWithKG does the price matching apply when using their financing option which is 0 % interest for 24 months? Also Amazon has holiday returns up to January 15.
Yes, it will still work. Amazon is interesting because they don't state to match the prices so you'd have to deal with customer service on that, but yes they will do holiday return policy.

Quick question.. so I am looking to upgrade my OLED 65" GX tv for gaming to the C4 and potentially G4 77"... however, I know you said the G4 is best LG for gaming but my question to you is... is it the best OLED tv for gaming overall the other brands? What would you consider the absolute #1 choice for an TV (even if its QLED) for gaming on my new PS5 Pro?
For the best out there IMO its the S95D and G4 right now. S95D has the color brightness advantage but takes a bit more tweaking to get right in settings, G4 only needs a small adjustment but the color brightness definitely won't be as good as S95D. Also look into the features like Game Motion Plus for example Samsung has this and LG doesn't. However if those happen to be out of your budget, strongly consider S90D over the C4 it is a by far better gaming TV IMO.

Per the antenna watching question turned off the power saving features. The picture looks so over blown compared to older oled.
The G3 didn’t have the reddish tint appearance. Thanks for the info.
Your video was very helpful thank you I think I’m going to go with the 77” b4 oled tv
I really think the B4 is the deal here. I wish they made a 42inch B4, I would snag one now. Do you know if the 42inch C4 will drop from $899??
That the best price unless you get an open box.. I rather $100 get the 48” c4
I bought my 48” B2 from a return and box wasn’t open got it $550
@@ARL773 If I was going 48inch I'd probably do the B4. Its going to be a Computer Monitor. I just can't see much difference in the B4 to C4, am I wrong?
I don’t typically its not too much cheaper but you can go open box route through best buy because they ship open box to hone under 55” and there is usually an excellent condition one available.
My current situation is 65 inch A95L or 77 inch Sony Bravia 8. Same price. Which would you choose?
77 OLED especially if you sit further
@ thanks for getting back to me. Your video on the Bravia 8 sold me on it over the c4. I’m coming from a 55 a95k so I was worried going from qd to woled would feel like a downgrade but I’m thinking the 77 size will make up for it
Yeah don’t overlook size. QD OLED is better but personally id rather have a W OLED 77 vs a QD OLED 65 if that is what my budget allowed.
This is the Black Friday price, I agree I don’t see the C4 being $800 better in this case.
So I had custom settings for Dolby vision on Cinema and Cinema home but now Cinema is gone and it’s just Filmaker mode? Do I have to customize Filmmaker mode now?
Can you help me choose between the G4 and C4, I’m more for movies, which do you think is better for watching movies?
My 77” C1 still going strong .. not upgrading yet ..
@@micker9830size is king you’re right
I made the switch from the LG C1 77" to the LG G4 83", and it's well worth the upgrade. It's in my dedicated theater room, and it gets extremely bright. I won't be upgrading from that TV for a long time. The LG C1 77" still looks phenomenal, but the G4 is on another level.
My 65" CX is still kicking and too
So one of the big difference between the C4 and the B4 is the gaming capability? Since I’ll never be gaming on my choice TV I don’t see paying an additional $800 for that feature. Please confirm.
Really just more missing HDR brightness and 144hz gaming yes.
If you plan on using the Smart TV interface take a look into that as well Web OS vs Google TV OS.
which will you pick an 83 inch C4 for 5000cad tax included or a 77 inch G4 for 6200 cad plus tax
In India c4 or s90d 55' was within 1200 dollars, on the festive season who closed just now
What’s this wifi difference between B4 from LG website vs Costco
On LG website the 83 inch B4 is advertised with alpha9 processor and 144 gaming
This is correct yes for 83"
KG - 2 questions- why does antenna tv watching on the G4 look so washed out?
When the G4 is turned off why does the screen give off a reddish tint? Is this normal?
Not sure about the first one could be a signal issue or the wrong settings (check auto piwer save options). G4 red tint when screen is off is normal yes, this is how the panels that use MLA within are they use a Manta Black AR coating.
I'm looking to purchase a TV with High Quality digital sound out with an eARC port for my audiophile stereo. I listen to a lot of music. Would there be any difference in sound quality over the b, c and g series?
no difference for external sound connections.
Which one works best in a dark room for gaming? Is MLA even needed at that point? Or B4 is plenty?
They all work great in a dark room for gaming. MLA is never needed it’s a luxury purchase decision for people who want top of the line G4 is an enthusiast’s TV.
How much difference between B4 and C4 in dark room gaming with HDR on? Are they on par?
Hardly a noticeable difference unless you’re really looking next to each other, the C4 is a brighter image but not like the difference between the C4 and G4 its a much less noticeable difference than that.
@@TechWithKG77 B4 or 85 U8N for gaming in Dark environment? If you could give a thought, thanks!
B4 is a great TV for a dark room, U8N could work too but OLED contrast is hard to contend with for any LCD TV.
C4 or S90D W-oled for movies and watching sports? No gaming. (In my country there's no g4 or s95d in the 77" that I need)
Which TV is better for gaming a B4 or C3?
They are similar, C3 is a little brighter with HDR but C3 loses that brightness and color brightness in game mode compared to outside of game mode making it nearly identical looking to the B4 in game mode. If you want an OLED TV for gaming around that price range I would suggest to go for Samsung S90D if you can.
42" and 48" version of C4 doesn't have Brightness Boosted feature,. Confirmed by Rtings
Do you think the 65 inch C4 would be good if all me and my wife are gonna use it for is movies and shows?
Yes
They have the c4 55 inch brand new for 1074 plus tax is that a good deal or should I pass it up
Good deal but pass and buy 65” Samsung S90C QD OLED
LG M3 77" just dropped to 2,499€. I'm tempted but worried about the wireless..
Also I heard some rumors that B4 doesn't have evo pannel, also not glossy, is it true?
It doesn’t have the Evo branding. Evo is a combination of different requirements for LG to classify a TV as Evo. The TV is glossy but a different kind of coating like a semigloss almost.
LG 77 B4 or 65 C4?
77 B4 easily
@@TechWithKG I'm updating the question.. 65 inch B4 or 55 inch C4? I think I know the answer:) I will also play fifa on ps 5😂
Thoughts for anyone in the UK, 55” B4 for £850 or 55” C4 for £1050???
Even just for the slimmer bezels I will go for the c4
@ I do know what what you mean, the B4 bezel looks rather basic. I have just found a 55” C3 for £960, is there much difference?
I’m looking at 48 inch OLED and it almost makes sense to save some money and go for B4.
If you are okay with less brightness and no 144hz than yes it could make more sense for you.
@TechWithKG Yes that helps. I'm bummed that Samsung doesn't have Dolby Vision though.
They are really similar I would say if you play games go for S85D from Samsung but of you don’t go for the B4.
wished they made a 42 b4.
Bro I need help like now lol. The 77 g4 is 3500 until tomorrow or should I get the 77 c4 for 2200?? I’m not worried about the extra money if it’s worth it?
G2 or B4? Or C4? No games, only movies and TV shows.
Amazon is interesting because they don't state to match the prices so you'd have to deal with customer service on that, but yes they will do holiday return policy.
please tell me which one best to buy? (C4 or S95B oled ) you are teacher OLED☺️❤️
For my oled I’m going with C4
I came across 2024 43inch c4 , 560 with tax 😮😂🙏🏾
Hi, very nice video! I just got my first Oled TV, went for the LG G4 55'
Can someone help me with the best settings configuration to watch sports? Football mostly. It's from the meo box but I think it's HDR
Thank you anyone that can help
É pra esgotar o estoque da melhor fabricante de TVS DISPLAYS etc do mundo LG tem durabilidade qualidade confiabilidade é glorificado louvado imponente tem garantia etc LG melhor do mundo LG capricha em tudo 👑🏆
Aye yo, why on lg it says the C4 55" is originally $1.9k and on amazon for the same C4 and 55" says the original price is 1.2k. Tf is going on here xD.
Either your looking at third party or the MSRP Retail price floor dropped and ons didn’t adjust happens a lot. Sale price for 55” C4 should be 1299 but i did see amazon had it at 1199
My new C4 has issues with the panel so I am going to return it tomorrow. Should I replace it with the S90D or Bravia 8 ?
S90D would be my choice.
Do not replace with S90D I had it and returned it. It had problems with motion and auto brightness. I also hated the Samsung OS it was very slow and not user friendly. Up to you but I would go for Sony or an LG.

Hey there... new to your channel. Love the content.
@@TechWithKG Does the S90D have the Game Motion Plus feature? If so, i think i'm going to go with that one for my new PS5 Pro as it fits into my budget.
@@WolfStory Yes S90D has game motion plus
@@TechWithKG Great.. i think thats the one im going with.
I recommend the Sony a 90 J for the best lead!👍
B4 is the best option
S90d
Personally in that price bracket I say get the S90D over C4 in most cases IMO. This video is a buying guide for LG OLEDs I will have a similarly structured guide for Samsung as well.
