- You may think it's uncommon or even rare for your iPad to be randomly opening apps, pressing buttons, scrolling on it's own of even seem like it has its own mind.
Rest assured that this is one of the most common fixes I do as an iPad repairer and happens quite a lot. Check out the video

I have recently replaced the screen and now I get the ghost touching but you said if there letting which there is does that still mean they need to replace the screen or have the adhesive replace and then use the same screen
So I have a cracked iPad Air 2 and this is happening to it A LOT and deleting a lot of my work and art and now I’m conflicted as to whether I should repair the screen or just save up for a new tablet? Thanks for your video. I have a iPad mini 2 and I bought it cheap with ghost touch although the screen wasnt broken. Only loose, I taped the old screen after cleaning and still had ghost touch. I decided to use a new screen, cleaned up again, taped again and I still have ghost touch. Can it be that the previous owner damaged the logic board or aomething else?

The upper right corner of my iPad Pro where the Wi-Fi symbol and battery life are, it’s scrolling in front of the Wi-Fi symbol.
I’m not downloading anything nothing is open. Do you know why it continues to scroll like it’s downloading.

I replaced a broken screen iPad 7th gen (install went just fine and thumb print home button still works). when trying to input the passcode one touch inputs the same number 1-3 times and messes up the passcode. After doing it a couple times it will then input correctly. Is this a supplier bad screen or something I did ? No issues doing the install and I made sure to disconnect the battery during screen and lcd disconnect and connection. Annoying as hell cuz I did nothing wrong
Thank your for the video but does not clarify what is happening for the Ipad 7 I have in for repair. I replaced the digitizer and gave it back to the customer, the customer brought it back a month later and the screen was shacking and ghost touching. I removed the digitizer and that didn't do anything. I'm thinking one of the resistors or capacitors has gone on the board. Any advice for me to fix this?
hello, i recently repaired my ipad because of cracked screen, black screen and ghost touch. but when it was repaired the screen wasn't evenly glued together and the longer sides were kinda open. i thought it was nothing but when school started i had to use my ipad the whole day and the ghost touch happened. i tried adding pressure and it stopped for a while so i kept on adding pressure when it happens again because i was too busy to go back to the repair shop but when i do, they say that i have to pay another for the screen (because i might've added too much pressure one time and the screen slightly cracked and my mum might become fuming mad if she knows about this and with my age i can't save enough for another repair.
Hello I know this is an older video but the same thing is happening with my fire tablet that I have had for about 4 years it started when my oldest sister dropped it, just wanted to know if it's because of the same thing because ofc it's 2 different companies and apple does make there tech. So out of nowhere of IPad Air 3 looks like it doing a shutter effect on the whole screen. It’s never been dropped and really only used to hook up to a projector for videos. And yesterday morning it started with this issue. Never seen it before and doesn’t affect the touch or when hooked up to HDMI but hard to see the screen. I bought this January 2020. Would it still be under warranty from apple?

So just replaced Digi on Gen7, kids smashed it. Anyhow. Used only adhesive on the replacement screen. All the pixels color works, buttons work, and charging port. but no response when trying to enter password and or then it's randomly jumps(👻)...You stated Digi is bad🤬🤬....Tried soft reset, hard reset to no avail....How difficult is it to remove new screen without cracking or breaking it, and is it possible to do so???? This is first apple I've attempted to fix, I've done a dozen or so androids phones of mine over years but IPad was up there in difficulty with HTC M7.....Any advice would be much appreciated..

I have an issue with ghosting.
I changed my screen and it was ghosting so i got a new screen to replace it.
So when i took my old screen off to replace it with the new screen the lcd keeps ghosting.
So before i put the new screen on is there a issue with the lcd which is the problem.

Is it worth to send in mine if I gotta replace the screen and I don’t think it’s covered and Apple says it’s $350 to replace it. But it’s an iPad Air and idk if it’s worth spending the money on or should I just save for a new one?!
Can this also be caused by overuse? I use my iPad for drawing and only owned it for 6-8 months when it started acting up... I'm always careful with it and it has no cracks.

What about an iPad mini 5th gen with a blank area that won't accept touch randomly down a quarter of the left side of the screen? It will work for a few minutes and suddenly stop working. Sliding a finger in this area will act like the ghost problem. The unit is secondhand so I don't know it's past.

well my little girl broke her screen on her ipad so i took it and had a new screen put in. thats when it started having the gost touch. so its probably need to take it back to the store that put the new screen in. thanks for the info very helpful.

I had a damaged iPad that I had to replace the LCD on. Before I even plugged the digitizer back into it the LCD alone comes on it jumps around non stop. Since this has nothing to do with the screen do you have any other suggestions?

My screen is cracked. Sometimes, my iPad will type things I don’t wanna type, mess up my keyboard, click random things and doing all types of shit. My parents don’t wanna get it fixed because it “costs too much.”

I've had ghost touch on my IPP 11 for about a year now, intermittently. I'm about to get sick of it and if this is typical then I *won't* be buying a new iPad. I tried getting my carrier's "multiple device protection plan" to help repair but they wouldn't even get back in touch with me. So, I'm cancelling that service. If it's no good why am I spending $45/mo for a protection plan that won't help me when I need help?

I have an original iPad. I recently reset factory settings. Now at start up, I can’t slide the unlock slider to open the iPad it keeps saying “information”. The small “information “ icon in the bottom left of the screen has a square around it as if it’s constantly depressed

The bottom of my screen won’t work it’s so hard cause when I txt my friends by clicking my send a message button it wont pull up the keyboard and I have to tap really hard and it hurts my finger

Our screen was cracked so we took it to a repair shop and the replaced the screen about 4 or 5 months ago. The ghost typing/activity started about 1-2 months after the screen was replaced. Guess we need to take it back but hope the screen doesn’t need to be replaced again since it was about $140 . iPad is about 5 yrs old. Your video was very helpful with the explanation. Thank you.

My husband replaced my broken screen on my iPad for my birthday. He fixes electronic gadgets all the time he is a tech. But I guess you really almost have to have it done in a factory settings because it worked fine for about a month and than it started ghosting. I've had my iPad for 7 years and have never had this problem. My screen just got repaired and I'm having this issue I believe this guy it has to do with the screen.

@@donalain69 Test the digitizer mounted on some kind of small rubber/plastic on the 4 corners so it doesn't touch the metal borders. Test some minutes looking for ghost touch, if it doesn't happen must be something making contact, cover all the metal corners with double sided tape and board cables with kapton/clear tape, fixed.

if you try to type in your wifi and it won't respond hold the power and home button until it shows the iTunes logo and then plug into a MacBook or a apple computer and get onto iTunes on the computer and do a software update from there trust me it'll work
My iPad is only around 5 months old and just today it started randomly opening up Siri and playing Apple Music at random speeds.
