Awesome, personal fave of The Great War. Sabaton is highly contagious, are they not? But Elize, please don't give yourself a Joakim mohawk.
One of their better songs for sure.
"The Red Baron" is my favourite off of The Great War. But overall it is a highly enjoyable listen. One of my Top 10 albums of last year. 🤘
@@SuperRoo_22 Red Baron is great live!
Why do you say that? She can get a Mohawk if she wants
Nah, she just needs Joakim's armor
Amaranthe is like whiskey........ They keep getting better the older they are.
Amaranthe never disappoints, good start to the year. Happy 2020 everyone :-)
i have to disagree, I feel like they sounded great on their first two albums but they've added to much Pop-elements to not be annoying in most of their later work.. songs like Drop Dead Cynical some others stand out of course, but generally speaking i feel like they've lost what made them pretty cool when i first started listening
I also disagree. Amaranthe started out as fresh sounding, metal/pop hybrid, with great harsh vox. They have turned into modern day, cookie cutter pop/rock, with rap vox. Everything they have done in the last 5 years sounds EXACTLY the same. I know they are popular now, and I am happy for them! Elize is a Freaking GODDESS💓. Also, I'm not dissing the band or their fans. I'm just saying that I liked their earlier albums better.🤘
I just dont see any difference.. Its just the same all the time and its boring. You hear one song and you have heard them all.
@@Vahisofficial the same thing can be said about Sabaton, isn't it? They have even less diversity than Amaranthe. The band has a style that it adheres to.
@@randyranderson5122 hello, double standards. The song "Hunger" or "Nexus" for example, also has a rap part. And the album "Heilx" have 2 hardest songs of the band (GG6, Iconic).

Sabaton version: Glorifying the acts. Shows how a simple man can be a hero against all odds
Amaranthe version: WW1 - The Animation. Rifles now fire lasers, series ends with York achieving Crusader Mode and fist fighting Kaiser Wilhelm in the sky
That's not me mocking it by the way, both versions are equally awesome in their own way
Beautiful version you vision with the song of sabaton and the cover of amaranthe
Sabaton doesn't glorify anything. They're just telling stories.

This song’s a rip off
Now this is the closest that any band has ever gotten to creating a cover that would convey the power of Sabaton (that I find quite unique) in their own sense. I also love the enthusiasm and enjoyment that you all show in the clip. Makes it all even better.
As covers go: 9/10
Love it.
Their cover of army of the night was what got me to listen to them

We did our job, did it well, as we stood side by side
with love for our country and with a sense of pride.
We were faithful, we were ready to see our orders through
We fought for us, fought for others, fought for freedom too.
We always knew the dangers that were ever present there

We knew that there could come a time, to make a sacrifice

In the draft of 1917, a man from Tennessee
Overseas to the trenches he went, from the land of the free
Into war he brought two things along, a rifle and his faith
Joined the ranks as a private, assigned to 338th

Entered the war from over the sea

Yes their album are genious 😍
@@axeldoucet160 I've seen that! Love it! (Ok, not as much as Sabaton, but a lot!)
I inherited a WWI era rifle from my great grandfather that happens to be the same rifle Sergeant York used. I didn't think much of it until this song showed me the history behind it. Thank you Sabaton x Amaranthe!
I’m a huge fan of both amaranthe and sabaton so hearing one cover a song of the other is pure beauty
I had my suspicions on who they were singing about, Then they mentioned that he became a sergeant. I was like, "I know who this is". It's such an awesome story too. I highly recommend the movie too.
This is one of my favorite songs
Sgt Alvin York, Medal of Honor recipient:
After his platoon suffered heavy casualties and 3 other noncommissioned officers had become casualties, Cpl. York assumed command. Fearlessly leading seven men, he charged with great daring a machine gun nest which was pouring deadly and incessant fire upon his platoon. In this heroic feat the machine gun nest was taken, together with 4 officers and 128 men and several guns.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for serving! 🙏🏻🇺🇸
We have a young officer with the 82nd in my large, very close, & very patriotic extended family.
He promised our now deceased grandfather that he’d make General before he retires. Grandpa (a WWII USN vet) would expect nothing less!
All the vets in our family (3 generations alive today, from all 4 major branches) will kick his lil punk ass if he retires before then... that includes my mom, dad, two uncles, brother, and several cousins.
But that boy won’t quit til he’s dead... and if he gets taken out in battle, he taking some enemies souls with him.
I know every one of you in the 82nd would do that to protect what we hold dear, and for that, no amount of thanks is enough!

idk, i mean i'm a big sabaton fan, but the way they layer the vocal styles in this it's like a BLT of music. you got the first part with normal singing that's like the bread, then the smooth vocals of elize like the tomato, and the crunch of the lettuce with the growls before it all comes together for the sheer dopamine hit of the bacon.
