Pretty new fish. From what I could see, that electric blue Jack Dempsey was gorgeous. The prettiest I've seen yet. 👍🙄
keeping my fingers crossed for the little EBJD. Those guys are notoriously fragile from everything I've heard. Beautiful fish though!
Mine is pretty hardy for a juvenile but time will tell
I have 2 of them and they are hardy I had no issue with them. Had them for 5 years
This reminded me a lot of my old tank before I moved to NOVA. I had every fish you had minus the arowana, plecos and oscar. Best of luck with your new tank!

I love the South American spectrum, and the rainbow Malavi . After doing these , I finally settled for something really special. Nothing in this world beats a lake tanganyika biotope for me . A nice colony of frontosa, some calvus and feather fins . Nice to see your channel grow , best wishes for the future .

Great minds think alike. I have a very nice African Cichlid tank and my American Cichlid tank is coming along nicely. I have a pair of Convicts, a Jack Dempsey, a Green Texas and a couple of Firemouths.

Love that you also got american cichlids Kev. I have been getting interested in them myself lately aswell. Got a green terror to. So far he/she seems to be a "true green" (adinocara stalsburgi). They are something else when in there prime 💯🔥

I just set up a South American tank and The seachem discus with garlic guard flakes have been working fantastic with my infant cichlids

I love that you’re showing people the proper way to acclimate fish! 👌🏻
Hey just an idea - when I acclimate my new guys I pour them through a net with a bucket under for the dirty water. And drop them in (once temperature is equal).
Might be easier than slippery fish?
Just sharing an idea of course. We all have our methods.
Keep doing what you’re doing on your channel!
I do that as well, when not making a video...but had to think of visuals rather than the easier method. Maybe I’ll make a specific video on acclimation and the best way to remove them from the bag (bucket style) thanks for the idea 👍

Man this is a great video. You made a good choice to put all the fish in the same time. This way aggression will be reduced. Not having to many of the same kind is also probably a good idea. Good luck it will be really nice project to watch.

Rino pleco in the grow out tank and for the silver arrowana is a difficult fish they jump and they grow massive good luck but the electric blues are fire love them

I believe the sponge in the fish bags is a phosphate sponge to help with ammonia.

The things floating in the bag are there to remove ammonia...they also use carbon as well
Ooh man, you have pretty much the same stock as I do for a S.American tank. I have 2 10"albino Oscars, 2 8" Green Terrors, 2 6" Electric Blue Acara, 2 2" Fire mouths and a Platinum Parrot, a Bristle nose and a Chocolate Albino pleco and 2 Pictus cats. I've had it all set up for about a year and they are all doing great as roommates. Keeping them fed and doing weekly 25% water changes makes them all happy and me happy as well, would love to throw a pic of them on here to show you as the whole setup is kind of one of my prize possessions. Also have the tank on a custom built stand that I did so now the tank sits over 5 1/2' high so I don't have to bend over to watch them. I'm running an FX6 and a Sunsun 704b on mine, and the water is always crystal clear like the fish are floating in air. Beautiful set ups you have, keep up the great videos and I'll keep watching.

Love the new fish. I have two severum and three Acura. The severum watch me, love those guys. Be careful with the Arowana I had one a few years ago, it jumped out the tank with a top and a bag of gravel on it. Luckily I heard the noise, he now lives in my brother's 300 gallon.

Im just getting started at this hobby for about a month now .. im having a 10 gallon tank with mollies after now i really want to upgrade for about 50 to 75 gallon tank .. this hobby is so addictive

Love it man! I have a 220 with very similar fish, golden silver arowana, 3 acaras, 2 green terror and more. You should consider a school of geophagus, they’re surprisingly fun to watch and very beautiful, I would 100% recommend, I have the tapajos and they’re one of my favorites in term of personality as they’re always active and going through the substrate
Absolutely! I tried to get some of those but they were sold out. I love them too! And they will definitely, eventually make into the tank! 😁😁
