When I started my tank over, I purchased a bunch of new fish from the same breeder and they were quarantined that way too. I think it’s just easier to build up a new tank that way. Good idea & I hope they breed.☺️

I love watching all your videos on the african cichlids. This one is by far my favorite, sting rays are amazing creatures. Would really love to see a video explaining the step by step ways to treat for parasites without using medications for example using the heat and salt method for Ich.

Hey kev, seachem Victoria buffer , how fast does it start buffering the ph ? I’ve always used crushed coral , started using the buffer and always have used the lake salt I started the buffer lightly used level teaspoon per 20 gallons , dosed it right into the aquarium did not dissolve first , let me know thanks, amd yes I watched ur video on it but didn’t say how fast it starts to adjust
It starts working right away but you wont see changes for a couple of days. PH takes time to adjust and thats a good thing. Any rapid swings can stress your fish and even cause death. Dose slowly and wait a few days before redosing until you find the desired sweet spot.
@KaveMan Aquatics yes sir I'm aware of ph swings being bad thing, I usually raise it naturally with crushed coral but I'm out of it so using the malawi buffer for the first time

When doing a water change do you treat all off the aquarium water or only for the amount of the new water added
I treat total volume with Prime but thats because I do 80% water changes. It's safe to dose up to 5x the recommended amount. But if you only do 10 or 20% water changes, a total volume dose isnt necessary.
Hi Kave, the stingrays are looking very healthy, and also beautiful fishes, my question to you is what are you going to do, when they get to the adult size, as fare that I know, this tank we'll be small for them in the future.😢
An 8 foot long, 3 foot wide tank will house them fine for a long while. If/when they get close to 4 feet I'll have to re-home them and start over. Or maybe I'll have another tank upgrade by then 😁

Brown algae is normal in a new tank setup. Just continue to brush it away during maintenance and eventually it'll stop growing back 😊
