In quickplay you can search for all of the game modes at once (you can select more than one button)
Duuuude for real? I'll have to check that out!
If I were an online multiplayer guy I’d consider picking it up, I appreciate the aesthetic and the demo felt nice to play. As I’d mostly be playing single-player, I’ll probably pick it up if it goes on sale for $15-20.
Agree - $20 will be the right price for me. I play my Xbox online - but not my VR
I don't play multi-player games, but I still wish this was more solo player friendly. While I love the game for what it is, but the time trials alone is a bummer (plus I HATE time limits in games). I would of loved to play against some AI
I agree, hitting the ball does feel great! Thanks for reviewing.
Crazy Taxi VR?? Don't screw with my emotions Paul!!
That would be so damn cool 🥲
Virtua tennis, pgr, blitz
It looks worth 15$, but not 30$. I'd buy it on sale though. The demo was OK.
Do not underestimate this game, I just played multiplayer against a person & I can guarantee they were laughing as much as I was - if you were playing on the day of release and you read this - I was absolutely wetting myself laughing when you served your ball behind you and hit yourself on the head with your racket. It is such a fun multiplayer game.
I think we neither over or underestimated this one. It'll be a worthwhile purchase after a few updates
@@WithoutParole Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude, I just had the time of my life in pvp & meant don't underestimate how great this feature is
Absolutely love the double ball vs mode. So happy they added play while you wait for a match up.
It is the best experience in pvp I've had in a very long time - utterly hilarious as well!
We are happy to hear that!@@slaxxxer
@@CSmashVRS I had not imagined how funny a fane could he in multiplayer - not laughing at it - just a game filled with joy!
appreciate the suggested price section -- i'll wait till the possible updates and dip a toe during a sale
Thanks for the review as always!
Thanks for your great reviews , Paul.
To be revisited after an update or two. 🤓
Thanks for your great reviews.🙏🏼
The original game was also very barebone on Dreamcast, it is more an arcade Naomi game, like the most that Sega ported. The presentation was pristine, but it was too short even for that time. It seems Sega only learned to make lenghty games outside their hardware.. So, this version is very close to the original, the devs really paid attention to details.
Thx Brian for the review. how do you manage to test all these games so extensively.
Keep it up :)
Concerning C-Smash: Yes it's hard to find a multiplayer match. After three or 4 attempts I give it up. Sure the Single player mode is fun, but I'm disappointed, that there isn't a Bot Player like you can find one in Nock (sorry for my english. I am not a native speaker :) )
Because of the workload I certainly make mistakes here and there - but I do my best. One of the mistakes I made actually applies to your multiplayer issue. Another viewer corrected me and said you can actually select multiple game modes to search for when you do a quick match - which is great! Hopefully that helps a bit :D
Thanks for the Review
Another great review!
I'll wait for Tennis On Court.
I’m left handed. Can you strafe using the right hand controller.I couldn’t seem to do it on the demo.
Great thanks B. How much room do I need ? Will I break my TV? Is say 2mx2m enough?
Stand in one place, lean far left and right and swing. If you don't hit anything you should be fine!
@@WithoutParole Appreciate that thanks. ( I leaned left a few years ago, then right for a while. But in our 30 years of wedded bliss I've never swung. Weve have the conversation.....but.....)
How to get the focus and universal trophies ?
🔥🔥🔥
Clear and clean graphics, incredible music, very good playability ! Only 6.4 ! No ! It's a 8 for me !
Oh I totally agree. And it'll be an 8 for me too when they add more content! :D
So do you actually need both controllers on to play it? Dumb question, but someone had to ask it lol
Yes
My god crazy taxi VR …… jet grind radio VR ….. 🤤
was waiting for your review, thanks. devs should have you tool around with their games b4 they release them….and you can give your reviews directly to them before after the fact lol.
I would hate that lol. I can't stand when devs try to use me as a beta tester
I had trouble with aiming and hitting the ball up in the demo. I have spent quite a few hours in my life playing racquetball so I wouldn't say it tracks well
The demo was busted at launch and the devs updated it a few times. I'd say give it another chance, it should work great now! :D
Gotta admit taxicab would be a great retro vr game
Maybe some studio will put out Seaman.
Crazy Taxi FP would be effin amazing tho!
Can't believe we went from chair in a room to this😢
I did literally.
Very hyped for this after the demo and seeing the tempting preorder discount. I enjoyed the practice mode so I wanted to know how much single player there would be. Alarm bells were ringing when yourself and many others hadn't put up a review, like the embargo was very late, and only a few chosen glowing reviews appeared. I probably would have bought it at that price but the lack of communication is frustrating. I lost trust in the product. Thanks for the review, it has been very helpful.
If not limiting to Sega, then I think Fantavision 202X VR is the more obscure revival.
❤
I thought it was $26.99 (I guess that was the price to pre-order). I will wait for a sale… the demo was ok. Thanks for the review.
26.99 was indeed the pre-order price!
So technically this is the prequel to HoloBall?
I like to see real Sparc on PSVR2!!!!!!
You are so right.. The SEGA IPs that get snagged for VR are so far out there.. Is SEGA holding back the real goodies for themselves? I can't imagine a world where no one has asked for permission to use Crazy Taxi.. So if SEGA said no, which they probably have, then it stands to reason that they're planning on making one themselves.. At some point.
Crazy Taxi is seriously one of the most obvious arcade-to-VR games ever. Remember that Zombie Taxi Service or whatever it was called? Basically Crazy Taxi, and it looked super fun.
It's going to be hard to build a community without in game chat. Eleven table tennis is a good example where it seems to work. You are unlikely to be able to party chat with a random you have just met.
The inclusion of a crouch button should be mandatory in VR. As we (gamers) age, inevitably movement, particularly knees, can become a painful struggle
Time Crisis needs to be done
Cool review. Not sold on the game though.
The multiplayer is brilliant and hilarious!
Unfortunately it costs too much and lacks single player (don't have gamepass, occasionally play MP on steam for free). I have a few tennis VR tennis games so will stick to them now.
Yeah 30 bucks ? It’s a wait for a sale imho
I know you must be tired of bringing up Reprojection, but as someone who finds it really noticeable it’s great to know when a game does (or in this case) doesn’t have it.
Fingers crossed Sony can patch it on a software level ASAP
6.4?? The reason is no multiplayer? Well, I'm fine I dont like that part, so for me is a 9 :) It's a great game
Nope, that's not the reason at all - in fact I was VERY clear that if you're only doing single player it's severely lacking in content
I was soooo unimpressed with the demo. It looks clean, but the action felt off to me. As someone else mentioned, Racket Fury was great on PSVR1. An update to that would be appreciated.
Yeah releasing a demo before they perfected the physics really bit them in the ass here
First and thanks for the review.
When it's less than 5 bucks I'll take a look, I'm sure the psvr was built for better than this
It’s only 50p less than Hubris! this should have been sub £20
Not any better graphically than a lower psvr1 game
sigh. like this couldn't be on PSVR1. Cosmic Smash owns! and Ken Ishii music? i'm not buying PSVR2!
It could be on PSVR1 but then only 10 people would buy it - practically nothing (even bigger games like Moss 2) sold on PSVR1 for the last 2+ years, unfortunately. Eventually devs have to move on to the more popular hardware.
@@WithoutParole how could this be on PSVR 1 with the horrible tracking?
@@vmbo never played Sparc huh?
@@WithoutParole i skipped that one and havent turned on my PSVR1 in ages. Just remember my virtual hands jumping all over the place and having to reset the view every few minutes
rrrgh... you people and your logical explanations.
