Met Andrew the other day at Modular Head Shop, awesome guy! Was really fun talking to you and meeting you in person, very surreal. Much love bro keep doing your thing!
Not all did. Cody switched back to gen3r before getting rid of the car. The whipple makes more power because it's 1.15 liters larger displacement but considering the difference in displacement it really doesn't make all that much more power. I think there may be 100 rwhp different between them in max effort setups. There was that much difference between gen 3 and gen3r blowers on max effort setups so you can see why that is somewhat of a disappointment considering its the latest greatest whipple with 1.15 liters more displacement. If whipple is so great why does it take so much more displacement to have a significant advantage over the tvs. These guys switched because they had max effort race cars they're trying to squeeze every last drop of power out of. Andrew's car did 1350 with the new standalone in a max effort setup with the huge cold air. He was doing mid 1100s wkth the gen3r wjth the small 123mm jlt and stock ecu. I think with the standalone and the huge 149mm intake the gen3r could have done near 1250 rwhp. The 123mm don't support much over 800 rwhp and he was in the mid 1100s there was def performance being left on the table. And he gained a decent bit wjth the standalone on the whipple I imagine he would have gained with the 3r also. 3.8 whipple makes more power than a gen3r at 2.65 liters but considering the displacement difference it doesn't make nearly as much more as it should imo. That is because pound for pound the tvs is more efficient for any given size and makes more power for any given size. Rant over.
My dad was just talking to me about blowers and the direction to go for his car. He has a 72 Gran Torino resto mod with a 2011 gt500 engine and a TCI6X trans. I share all his videos with you. And he was sending me links to kenne belles for sale. But I was just sending the video of your dyno when you posted this video. Which blower would you go with for a upgrade especially if you know you may want to go bigger in the future. I remember your talk about whipple being more innovative and kenne belle just making the same old blowers. Atleast I think it was you. But what would you go with if you had to do it again? The motor is basically stock bottom end with a wide variety of everything good 10yrs ago when he started building it. So the drivetrain can take a lot. Look up project breathless Gran Torino if you wanna see more of what’s on it. The standard rpm and a few other articles are out there.
I can't wait to see you and Cody both back at the track. Would be great to see you guys have a drag race against each other. 2 of most beastly GT500"s head to head. By the way, how are your ears after that?? Sounded pretty frickin loud in the headphones, LOL 😂😂
With the hp your making you should really have all coupling on all you fluid hoses, a safety purposes for you and the other racers. Congratulations your are getting closer on the tuning side.
It was fixed after this video. The Holley desires 0% tps for idle and this wasn't at 0%. When it differs from 0% it moves to a different timing and fuel table other than for idle.
how is it terrorizing the streets when there’s not one street pull in this vid! i watch all ur vids but here lately its been a lot of click bait andrew !
@@MustangLifestyleTV well not in the vid i just watched if u call a cul de sac a street pull where expecting a mexico 40-160 u know where we’re coming from

Holy fuck! My ears 🤣🤣 had my AirPods on full blast
All the Vmp owners switch to a Whipple when 3.8L comes out. What happen to gen3r

Are we going to get to see both GT500s do a side by side pass?

Trinity blower off a 13-14 GT500 is what you should upgrade to.
Bet the neighbors love that car😂
Can Cody's Car idle by itself? It constantly sounds like it will stall if he doesn't ride the gas.
Absolute beast!!! 🏎🚀💪💪💪
I wonder what the power difference would be if it had a turbo and how much power he is losing turning that supercharger
What is the exhaust setup on this? She sounds nasty.
Bad ass keep it up guys I love the channel!
Can’t wait to see some 2v content like this
You don't even know. It is about to get wild! (and expensive)
@@MustangLifestyleTV Kill the game with a 2V 5.4L turbo on e85.
I’m ready to see your car rip and Cody should turn it upppppppp

As tim the tool man would say More power
Can we get some el choppo sizes back in stock!?
Working on merch coming very soon!
Wow, if it makes that much at the wheels, how much does it make at the crank? Engine masters ain't got crap on this car!
Sounds soooo sick 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Why not PBD?
PBD did the base tune but Holley is open for anybody to tweak
Gahhhhlieeeeeee
Still having a idle issue???? Don’t understand that

Just wish he'd auto swap it..
Why that’s lame lol. he actually wants to drive the car not let the car drive itself
Lame as hell.
Well thanks for the fantastic reply guys
Wait I thought it had the 5.4 triton
"Tritons" are SOHC truck engines.
His is the 5.4L iron block gt500 5.4l
@@Sir.VicsMasher that’s why I was confused if it was swapped to a truck motor but I guess not?
@@dailylife3975 the older gt500 came with an iron block ?
