@daniellepreyar If you notice, its a Bull Terrier. They can be pretty tenacious. That still is no excuse. Put a muzzle and pinch collar on it and take it with you. However, Bull Terriers are a breed used to breed real pit bulls. They want the tenacity the Bull Terrer breed has.

Yes, that was great. Now I wish he made women feel this cared for and before you make comments understand that I have a relative who almost died in pregnancy. In Florida, she would have struggled to be saved, even in the first trimester. That's not ok.

I was part of a suburban fire. Literally house to house fire spreading rapidly. Some of the ranchers had to go through and inhale hella smoke with nothing but a shirt covering their mouths and unmask the horses (because they have masks over their eyes) and open their pins so they could run loose. They were found a day later, their instincts are very good and they could outrun the fire luckily, it was moving so fast that people died running away on foot. (It was middle of the night and cars caught fire too). Ppl waking up to horror. No warning. In this situation there’s plenty warning though.
But when it comes to regular domestic pets, yes bring your pets. If it’s not possible, let them loose. They have great instincts.
When we got our dog, she’s a big girl and rescue actually. We bought a car roof rack and storage. I had already been through the above so my first thought was saving her too. So we have practiced the time to put roof storage on last minute, while the rest of us load the duffel bags kids and dog, then the person who does the car roof loads the emergency supplies into it & important docs, then loads the duffle bags. That way our girl can ride with us. Everyone has a job.

There are plenty of shelters in FL that take people with animals right now. It’s one of the main barriers to people not going to shelters, and so they have done a very good job of telling people to bring their pets.
