IT IS NOT "COMPLICATED", it was not complicated for the NATIVE Americans, Africans, Asians, Arabs, Aborigines---they came they were conquered, they colonized and eventually settled , that is our bitter history, but it s the reality; the ONLY justice that is needed is the TRUTH...
There is NO JUSTICE in Israel , because they have never accepted the TRUTH behind their occupation; instead of the known truths, they live on deliberate collective amnesia and seek to forcefully co-opt their narratives by declaring anyone with a different view "antisemetic" and any native that resists their occupation as a "terrorist"--- what is complicated instead is that we are been forced by their western allies to accept Israel's versions of an UNJUST reality...
There is DARKNESS, but we have only seen the SHADOW and witnessed what benign damage it has exerted on us all. Everynow and then cometh the LIGHT to reveal the hand behind the unjust and understand how it deceives and controls us, and why; for what purpose, interest or reasons....

I urge you not to be so quick to assume Coates knows what he's talking about. He doesn't. This accusation of genocide and apartheid onto Israel is completely false. In fact, what happened to Sephardic Jews when they were exiled from Arab countries was genocide. 20% of Israelis are Arabs, and they have full and equal rights as citizens in every sense of the idea. An Arab Muslim justice of the Supreme Court put an Israeli president behind bars. Arabs serve on police forces all throughout the country. Arabs serve in the army, even though they do not have to. They are doctors, teachers in integrated Arab/Jewish schools and schools that are mainly Jewish schools. They are business leaders and representatives in the Israeli parliament. I ride buses with Arabs all the time. Their children play in the same playgrounds with Jewish childrens. I could go on and on. I am an American. I've lived in Israel for 18 years. There is NO apartheid in Israel. If there were, I would be among the first to protest it.

So if you were listening to them on 10/07/23 you heard that most of the population CELEBRATED the murder of innocent BABIES in the racist anti-Jewish pogrom that they did on CIVILIANS and CHILDREN and HOLOCAUST survivors. It IS simple: wanting to murder Jewish people and give them NO Rights to their land of 3,000 years, and y'all rejecting EVERY offer of peace and a state. Islamism wanting Jews as Dhimmies in APARTHEID and less equal rights, not allowed in Gaza even, despite ancient connection, not 1 Jew was allowed in Gaza, and did you not THINK the Israelis would NOT have gone into Gaza if Palestinians didn't have CHILDREN hostage and keep shooting rockets trying to kill them and saying they will do October 7 over and over again? I AM AGAINST THE WAR I want all the hostages released NOW And if you ask for that the war might just end, I want NO MORE children in Gaza killed it is horrible, but you gotta start taking some personal responsibility, why is it ONLY on Israel? Think. Israel didn't even go into Gaza until October 10th...the fact you stated the 7th says a lot...did you even denounce it or were you eating Knaffeh too?

About 10 years ago one of my friends, black American, visited Israel with his flight attendant wife. He sometimes accompanied her on a lot of trips because as her husband, he was able to fly for free. For the record his wife was white with blonde hair and blue eyes. When he got back from Israel he was visibly shaken and vowed NEVER AGAIN to set foot in that country. He told me that on several occasions he'd be walking down the street with his wife at his side when he'd be approached by soldiers or security personnel demanding to see his "papers" or demanding to know where he was coming from and where he was going. His wife, on the other hand, was NEVER stopped and NEVER questioned! It got so bad that for his last few days in Israel he just stayed in his hotel rather than expose himself to being interrogated every 15 minutes. To be honest, at the time I thought he was just exaggerating, for why would Israel, a Western democracy, openly discriminate against people of color? After hearing Ta-Nehisi Coates speak about his own experiences in Israel, I now know that my friend was actually telling the truth. Another interesting thing he mentioned was being very surprised that half the Jewish people he met and saw in Israel were actually British or American nationals (he could tell because of their accents). It made him sick to his stomach to think that these people actually left the UK/US and voluntarily relocated to a country that actively subjugated its non-Jewish population to apartheid. What kind of person feels good about traveling halfway round the world to participate in apartheid?

I'm a white South African who visited Israel on a school tour in the late 1990s. The tour was mostly focussed on the country's religious significance but I saw enough to come away thinking that Israel was run like South Africa was under apartheid. I felt guilty about this thought because I was raised to think of Israel as the Holy Land and so forth. Realising that it was a settler colony like my own country was jarring.
Since then the opression of the Palestinians have intensified to where comparing it to aparheid no longer seems apt. While apartheid was dressed up in all sorts of racist social darwininst rhetoric, it was at its heart a system of economic exploitation. Black people were first taxed and then increasingly disposessed of their land, not that they should leave the country or die, but that they would be forced to work on white-owned farms and industries for low wages. It was vile and unjust and it immiserated generations of people, but it was not genocidal. There does not seem to be the same impulse behind Israeli land seizures in the West Bank and the embargo of Gaza. The displaced and immisserated Palestinians are not incorporated into the Israeli economy to any great extent, instead they are expected to magically dissapear somehow. The Israeli regime has been genocidal since prior to 7 October 2023. 7 Oct just gave them an alibi to justify escalating their efforts.

"The victor will never be asked if he told the truth."
"The only words you'll regret more than the ones left unsaid are the ones you used to hurt people"
"Why does the world shed crocodile’s tears over the richly merited fate of a small Jewish minority? … I ask Roosevelt, I ask the American people: Are you prepared to receive in your midst these well-poisoners of the German people and the universal spirit of Christianity? We would willingly give everyone of them a free steamer-ticket and a thousand-mark note for travelling expenses, if we could get rid of them." (Quoted in N H Baynes, The Speeches of Adolf Hitler, Oxford University Press, 1942, Volume I, pp.727-28)
"Germany will regard the Jewish question as solved only after the very last Jew has left the greater German living space... Europe will have its Jewish question solved only after the very last Jew has left the continent." "We swear we are not going to abandon the struggle until the Last Jew in Europe has been exterminated and is actually dead. It is not enough to isolate the Jewish enemy of mankind-the Jew has got to be exterminated." (Trial of the Major War Criminals Before the International Military Tribunal, Vol.3, Nuremberg, 1947, p. 36)
"The second German secret weapon is anti-Semitism, because if it is consistently pursued by Germany, it will become a universal problem which all nations will be forced to consider." (Trial of the Major War Criminals Before the International Military Tribunal, Vol.3, Nuremberg, 1947, p. 36)
"Anti-Semitism is the unifying element of the reconstruction of Germany."
(Referred to at the Trial of the Major War Criminals Before the International Military Tribunal, Vol.3, Nuremberg, 1947, p. 35)
"One of the principle reasons for the legislation in Germany is the necessity to combat Bolshevism. This legislation is not anti-Jewish, but pro-German. The rights of Germans are thereby to be protected against destructive Jewish influences.
… the Jews who formed less than one per cent. of the population tried to monopolize the cultural leadership of the people and flooded the intellectual professions, such as, for example, jurisprudence and medicine. The influence of this intellectual Jewish class in Germany had everywhere a disintegrating effect . For this reason in order to bar the spread of this process of disintegration it became essential to take steps to establish a clear and clean separation between the two races.
He stressed [that these legislative measures] served to protect the Jew, and this was proved by the fact that since the passing of the restrictive measures anti-Jewish sentiment in the country decreased. (Interview with Mr Baillie of the United Press, quoted in N H Baynes, The Speeches of Adolf Hitler, Oxford University Press, 1942, Volume I, pp.732)
"They complain… of the boundless cruelty with which Germany-and now Italy also-seek to rid themselves of their Jewish elements. All these great democratic empires taken together have only a handful of people to the square kilometre. Both in Italy and Germany there are over 140. Yet formerly Germany, without blinking an eyelid, for whole decades admitted these Jews by the hundred thousand. But now… when the nation is no longer willing to be sucked dry by these parasites, on every side one hears nothing but laments. But lamentations have not led these democratic countries to substitute helpful activity at last for their hypocritical questions; on the contrary, these countries with icy coldness assured us that obviously there was no place for the Jews in their territory. … So no help is given, but morality is saved. (Source: The Speeches of Adolf Hitler, April 1922-August 1939. Edited by N H Haynes. Volume I, pp.719-720 Oxford University Press, 1942)
"So, we are now going to have a total solution to the Jewish question. The programme is clear. It reads: total separation, total segregation! What does this mean? It does not only mean the total exclusion of the Jews from the German economic system... It means much more! No German can be expected to live under the same roof as Jews. The Jews must be chased out of our houses and our residential districts and made to live in rows or blocks of houses where they can keep to themselves and come into contact with Germans as little as possible. They must be clearly identified.... And when we compel the rich Jews to provide for the `poor' of their race, which will certainly be necessary, they will all sink together into a pit of criminality. As this happens, we will be faced with the harsh necessity of eradicating the Jewish underworld, just as we root out criminals from our own orderly state: with fire and sword. The result will be the certain and absolute end of Jewry in Germany; its complete annihilation!" [Source: Benno Müller-Hill. Murderous Science. New York: CSHL Press, 1998, p.48]
"Europe cannot find peace until the Jewish question has been solved. …One thing I should like to say on this day [the sixth anniversary of his being appointed Chancellor of the Reich] which may be memorable for others as well as for us Germans. In the course of my life I have very often been a prophet and have usually been ridiculed for it. … Today I will once more be a prophet: if the international Jewish financiers in and outside Europe should succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, then the result will not be the Bolshivization of the earth, and thus the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe."

AIPIC has a significant grip on American politics precisely because it is in the interest of the US military-industrial complex and US empire for it to have such influence. Allowing AIPIC to have such power solidifies Israel as a proxy colony to the US that guarantees the security of US imperial oil interests in the Middle East. The military industrial complex’s lobbying dwarfs that of AIPIC; and CUFI (christians united for Israel) has over 50 times as many members as AIPIC. So the Israel lobby is so much more than AIPIC, and its success is largely the result of US imperial and Christian evangelical interests.
Getting fully rid of AIPIC would require (among other things) getting the military-industrial complex out of US politics, which I fear would be nearly an impossible feat. The national democratic party is largely just as snuggled up with the arms complex as is the Republican Party.

Remember, Zionist extremism is not the same as Israel. 52% of Israeli citizens currently disapprove of Netanyahu, and 80% think he could have done more to prevent October 7th with the intelligence he and the army had. 47% support Netanyahu and his methods. It’s much like the Trump, anti-Trump dynamic in the USA. Not all Israelis are comfortable with the status quo or the way in which their leaders are carrying out their defense and this war.

      @johnwashington9292 Месяц назад

@@kevinjackson6420 Sorry, I just saw this question, but glad you asked. An anti-victimology liberal is a center-left thinker who uses levelheadedness when looking at the plight of black Americans. This person is anti-CRT and awakened to the fact that it is not systemic racism that is our kryptonite but that the issues reside in pathologies in black culture that we refuse to see.
Over 72 percent of our kids are born without fathers, leading to 67 percent being abandoned by dads to be raised solely by struggling females. Over generations of this, the extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and so on is gone.
This can spiral into life-destructive behaviors such as high crime, low academics, negative self-worth appraisal, and more of the same.
Just some quick and verifiable stats to back up my point. Black makes up 6 percent of the population but commit over half of the murders in the US each year, with about 90 percent of the victims being other blacks. For armed robbers, it is 48 percent. And to add to this self-destruction, our 12th graders score embarrassingly lower on all subject categories than all the races. This seals these kids from many opportunities.
Coats owes all of this to racism, but as someone who grew to manhood under Jim Crow and saw fathers in most homes and a more disciplined and harder-driving attitude, I am in serious disagreement with his philosophy. Sure, there is racism. I know what racism is, and he is speaking of bumps in the road when I had reinforced road barricades guarded by bigoted cops and police dogs.
And it just flabbergasts me that this far out from slavery and Jim Crow, some of us think that more affirmative actions, financial aid, and reparations will clean this up!

If you want to know how one-sided the conversation of Israel/Palestine is in Western mainstream media, simply count. Count how many Jewish anchors, correspondents, or journalists (with either immediate family or first-hand experiences in Israel) get prime time slots to speak on this issue vs how many Palestinians or even Arabs do.
Then count how many Jewish and/or Israel guests get interviewed or allowed to speak vs how many Palestinians or Arabs. It’s dozens and dozen and dozens vs possibly two, maybe three. The media isn’t even trying to accommodate voices from the other side, they are actively ignoring, silencing, and outright censoring those voices.
On CNN alone. Five days of every week. In the eight hours between 9am and 5pm. FOUR of those hours every single day, a full half, is hosted by pro-Israel Jewish hosts (Dana Bash, Jake Tapper, and Wolf Blitzer) and laser focused on solely the Jewish perspective and the expense of not just Palestinian or Arab voices, but virtually any voices critical of Israel, be they black, white, brown, Christian, Muslim, or even Jewish!
Coates absolutely nails this and skewers these stooges when he says that there is “…no shortage of the Israeli/Jewish perspective in our media…”

That is such an important point he makes about their line of questioning about long lost relatives.
When we visited Tel Aviv years back, my wife was stopped for "questioning" at the international airport. Mind you, we are American citizens arriving from NYC area, we pay for all their stuff, and we flew over with her company, a MAJOR US Airline carrier. All of the employees (and me, the husband) walked off the plane in Tel Aviv together. The other pilots walked right past security, the flight attendants walked past, and they even told me to walk right past! But they stopped her, asking her father's full name. After she gave that, they asked for her grandfather's full name. After she told them her grandfather was dead before she was born and that she didn't know it, they took her aside to a waiting room area.
They told me to keep going and to enjoy my trip! Are you effing serious, dude? My wife is basically in holding so I declined and said I would be staying wherever she's staying. I walk over to the "waiting area" of security wayyy over to the side of immigration in a separate room, and what do I see? SIX different Muslim groups - three of which were Americans. I started asking questions of two gentlemen who traveled together and their reply was startling for a first timer: "yep, this is normal. They stop me every time. I wait here for 1-2 hours, they ask stupid questions, and then they let me pass. The same thing will happen once I come back to head home to the US."
WTF? This is the "only" democracy in the Middle East? If so, I think it's more appropriate to say there are ZERO democracies in the Middle East. If you are asking strangers of the country that financially supports your lifestyle their grandfather's name and religion, then you are - quite simply - being racist, bigoted, and employing all the signs of an apartheid state.
