Wow! I've just come across your channel and finding this so helpful. Thank you so much!❤️ I'm going to start exposure therapy tomorrow and go for a walk by myself. I've done the graph and watched the 4 videos. I found this when I was desperate for help so I can't thank you enough.
I have GAD with the stress response on all the time. This has been the case for the past 16 months. Prior to this I did have a panic disorder for about 10 yrs but it was managed whilst working full time. After retiring from work in 2018 the panic disorder turned into GAD probably due to having too much free time in retirement and more time to be anxious. I am 68 yrs old. What types of exposure is best for GAD?
What if the panic attacks come any time and any place out of the blue? There is not trigger so how can i make my anxiety to come? During my panick attack im affraid i will die, thay my heart will stop and that there is no help for me. How can i do the exposure if i get all of these only in my panick attacks that come from nowhere?
Well, when did those panic attacks happen, is there no link between them? No trigger at all? Perhaps increased background stress in your life, or being overly aware of your own body?
So what do I do during the exposure? For example, when I'm in public transport and experiencing panic attack. Should I not distract myself and focus on what's happening to me instead?
My therapist told me to watch your videos as homework. Since then I watch them every now and then and you really help me! Thank you 🙏

What about free floating anxiety? How do we deal with that?

You expose yourself to the things you fear during a panic attack so the fear of your heart stopping, etc

@@MrMadalien yes. Stressed backround. And overly aware of my body. That seems correct. And what to do with it?
@@Valsin can u explain more in detail? Im not getting it.
@@lunaticatiga try to pay attention to your heart beating, or start thinking that you will die. That will make you have an actual panic attack at will
