Tysm that link is a hidden gem! It’s still on sale! For whatever reason the retail price is the only listing that shows up on their search engine. I was so close to paying retail until I watched your video thanks again!
Cool. I have the Player Tele Plus Deluxe with vintage bridge and tuners and Mojotone Quiet Coil pickups. It's got Lucky Dog gnarly knobs, Wilkinson's compensated saddles, an angled switch cover plate, and a three string tree to stop the g-string ring behind the nut. It's a great guitar. I love the satin back/glossy top maple neck. For me it just blows away anything else under a grand.
Purchased the same one. The only problem was the tail strap button was a little bit on an angle, but I fixed it with a new felt washer. Other than that great guitar, and I think the maple neck will darken nicely with age
@@hoganshideout Hey just got mine but it had a lot of issues out of the box. Heavy string buzz on E, A and D strings and some on the B string. Volume knob doesn't roll smooth at all. It feels like the bottom part of the volume knob is scraping the base. Also, the pickup switch rubber/plastic tip easily comes off like you have to super glue it to stay. The QC on the guitar I got was terrible. Did you notice any of those issues with yours?
@@miguelr937 I noticed the knob scrapping issue and mentioned that in the video (should be an easy fix), but I didn't notice any issue with the switch tip. I have found the factory adjusted action on many new Fenders to be set too low for normal playing so it may need to be set up for your playing style. I am going to set up the Tele with 10s and will probably post a short video of that.
I have a Telecaster with 51 Nocaster pickups and I'm positive that the Player pickups are different -- both visually and tonally. As far as the intonation, I am going to set the Player Tele up with 10s and I'll check it then.
The protective film on the pickguard was removed also, and I failed to mention that in the video. Otherwise it was as delivered by Adorama.

Hey thanks for the comment. It looks like they are sold out of the Strats but still have Teles left. Yeah it's a great deal!
I have the same and i really love that guitar. Changed the tuners to locking tuners and the nut with a Graph Tech one. Plays like a charm.
I really like Graph Tech stuff, I just ordered a string tree for a Player Strat. Which locking tuners did you go with?
I want to get one of these. I’ve grown up now and I’m ready for a Telecaster. 😂🇺🇸👍

Yeah I agree and my brother loves that guitar. I play my Player Strat all of the time and it is one of my favorite guitars.
Nice! Saw your strat video too. Great that you uploaded the Tele as well! Should be getting mine in a couple of days.
Thanks. I hope you like the Tele as much as I do.

Shout out to ping golf! Yeah man
Nice.. It's like leaning against the counter at Jubilee, back in the day.
Thanks Pat. Hope everything is going great!
I understood from somewhere those are '51 no casters. Also, how is the intonation at the 1st fret?
