That's really good! If I had a teacher in school like you Ruri, I would be making my videos in English by now ahaha! Very impressive content, keep up the good work! ❤
Love how you said we should start sharing personal experiences to create a deeper connection with our viewers. I noticed a huge difference after doing this and even more comments haha
Sometimes I think thumbnails are what makes videos popular, but there are also much older videos that don't plan a thumbnail or anything (like funny random animal videos you'd see that was uploaded 14 years ago) also gets popular. A thumbnail that pops, or a person who is able to get the point or have a vibe that gets people's attention. Love the video!
I like your Idea of not focusing on getting the most followers you can but it’s better to engage with your loyal small group of followers. This hits very true especially to small channels like myself. It makes perfect sense that they will help your channel grow once you become their trusted sources. Good stuff! Sending everyone hugs and love ❤️
If I was not editing my video right now and consuming your video not as a consumer but as an artist, I would have never noticed that your video has a background music. That's high quality work, every detail is so perfect in your videos. A real pro
Thank you for the great tips and advice, Ruri. I recently started my channel and my first video did way better than I expected (it's almost at 30k views now and I went from about 50 to 2.5k subscribers in less than a week). of course, I would love to get better at editing and get faster at making videos, but completely agree that the storytelling and message should be prioritized and I think I made the right choice to focus more on that, even though I originally wanted to do something more visually impressive. And I totally agree that community building is extremely important for the success of the channel.
Thanks for sharing. Honestly, it was really tough at beginning. My channel was new and my videos hardly passed 500 views mark. It was frustrating and I almost gave up. It was when my friend told me about using tools (like a little bit of Famester) that gave my channel traction it desperately needed. After that, I saw an explosive growth. I never thought that small dose of real views and likes could make my channel blow up!
I'm a new content creator and have been binge watching your videos. I didn't realize the process would be so time consuming and then disheartening when no one sees all of my hard work. Thank you for your relevancy and your absolute wealth of information!

Watching your video really hit home for me, especially as a fellow content creator. One thing I've learned along the way is the importance of authenticity. It's easy to get caught up in chasing trends or trying to be someone we're not, but viewers can smell inauthenticity from a mile away. Instead, I've found that being genuine and true to myself not only attracts a loyal audience but also makes creating content so much more fulfilling.

THIS! My journey with RUclips took an unexpected turn when one video, more by accident than design, skyrocketed my channel from 80 to 1000 subscribers in a single week. However, the initial excitement was short-lived. The following month, my growth declined to 30 new subs per day, which was still amazing, but then it dropped even further to 15, and eventually, to a disheartening 1-4 subscribers per day. This left me wondering-was it just a stroke of luck? Had the competition in my niche suddenly intensified? What was happening? It wasn't until I started watching Ruri and other insightful channels that I realized the missing pieces. I hadn't mastered the art of creating a compelling hook, nor had I focused on storytelling or structured my content to clearly convey its value from the beginning. Thanks to Ruri for shedding light on these crucial aspects. Thank Ruri! I’m a new RUclipsr, not monetised yet and I’m definitely going to take your advice onboard. I’ve been struggling with thumbnails. Hopefully I’ll be doing better. Thanks again.❤
Absolutely loved the video! You really nailed the common mistakes people make on RUclips. Your tips on consistency, thumbnails, and focusing on a niche were spot-on. I definitely need to work on those myself. Seems like the real key to success is hidden in that RUclips coaching program you mentioned… Gotta admit, I'm curious to see what you're offering there. I bet that's where the real secrets to blowing up a channel are revealed 😉
I’ve just started a RUclips channel. When you do your 100% but unfortunately don’t see any progress that’s when it’s the most difficult time to stay. even it always creeps you out a lot🙂↕️
I do agree with all you say, but it seems like viewers look at how big your channel is to decide if it's worth watching vs the real quality of what we can provide as well. I have my channel for 1 month and lucky to gained organic subscribers (not friends, family). I believe that my audience will find me, eventually! Thank you for sharing❤❤❤
Another awesome video Ruri. I really appreciate your channel. amazing content always. I've even been doing collaboration videos with some of your videos. Great stuff. Keep up the epic teaching.
One million subscribers, that number already speaks of the channel owner's power. I'm really happy for you; you're not only more beautiful than I am, but also smarter!💥💥💥👍
I currently have a YT channel and I'm in the process of experimenting, and this is such a big help, I'll go over my channel later today and consider editing... Thanks for this great idea❤❤❤
What is your opinion on the authentic RUclipsrs who just turn on the camera & post without edits & are able to post whenever they want often times daily whiles talking about what ever they want? they don’t even edit their thumbnails
with 50 subscribers after 4 videos, I am only now just watching content on 'how to succeed on utube'! initially just getting videos out was my priority; now I want to learn skill and strategy to help my channel grow!
Great information! Finding a topic or specialty is where the challenge comes into question. What can I present and what values can i share? Choosing what to make is the hardest part. The rest is already there to figure out and do the work. Choose a path that best describes my passion!?
I was just editing a new video after a hiatus and thinking how my thumbnail game is lacking. It's not uniform to my channel, a bit chaotic. Wish I could get some advise on how to improve it. Thanks for suggesting canva in any case, and your wisdom
Awesome video. I am small RUclipsr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).
You are so right I’ve seen friends blow up due to one video Yes I know about the 80/20 rule Only 20% of your videos will gain most views , subscribers, money 💕
When I started doing RUclips, I found hard to create a video that not only provide enough and not too long but also a good thumbnail. Till I watched some high view videos, I saw that they always had catchy intro and thumbnail, so I did the same and got some attention.
I like to watch tutorial videos on mute before listening. What I've noticed visually is that her videos are edited heavily to hold short attention. Panning in and out every 3,5, and 10 seconds, blurred background for focus, quick recuts, straight to the point, great audio/mic, and she adds lots of visual storytelling. I noticed channels with this style of editing have hundreds of thousands if not millions of subs.
Finally something revealing and useful. It's what another creator shared, apparently it works. Sadly it's the kind of thing I don't like watch and it bother me. I will never do this personally, cause it doesn't correspond to me, not authentic. It's boring if everyone do the same, edit the same way, etc... It's unfair for people who create different type of content where this kind of editing and visual would be useless. Plus there are people who hate when there is music, editing and visuals in video. We are all differents. I prefer continue to be myself & authentic, than to follow/fit expectations, just to have more views, it will not make me happy.
@@Elodie_N_INTJ_Analyzes You may have a point, but here you are having watched yet another 'boring' video on how to make your own channel successful. I find that my short attention span can't withstand 'authentic' long, no break videos. It makes me click off. Good luck.
@@yellaninpoppin9919 What point you talk about ? I am not Success is a big word that has a different meaning for everyone, and which in same time mean nothing. It's already a success for me. I have a safe place with only smarts, respectful & genuine persons. No low vibrationnal & conflictual persons. Authentic videos can have breaks/edited, and be shorts. We attract what we are, we are all differents, and we like different types of video and content. I just watched this video by curiosity for fun, and to see in the comments how much people felt in this trap. Short attention span is something that you can improve/change. Having subscribers, views, money, success is not what make people truly happy. Good luck with your self. 777
How much time it takes to make a video" part hit me hard. I did the same thing when I started my channel and thought I would create 1 video every week but it takes me 20 to 30 hours for one video as I am learning everything alongside. I realised soon enough to set a realistic goal. Thanks Ruri. Always love your content ❤
As always really great video about that how to improve to yourself in different sphere, and I think that's really something great that you share together with them these different your experiences of your great transformation and improving of yourself and also yeah the best path for that to will become more better that just be concentration on yourself own projects and works which you have. When I started doing RUclips, I found hard to create a video that not only provide enough and not too long but also a good thumbnail. Till I watched some high view videos, I saw that they always had catchy intro and thumbnail, so I did the same and got some attention.
Wow Wow what a perfect timing Ruri and I Absolutely Absolutely needed this video and once again I am so so so glad to see you back🤗💖✨
Thank you gran daughter my son is so encouraged by your announcement 1:19
Thank you 🫶I’m a upcoming man tryna get up there with the higher ups 🙏
Thank you so much for your videos!!!!!
Love your channel Ruri ❤
I am not
Success is a big word that has a different meaning for everyone, and which in same time mean nothing.

Thank you very much for the video!
As always really great video about that how to improve to yourself in different sphere, and I think that's really something great that you share together with them these different your experiences of your great transformation and improving of yourself and also yeah the best path for that to will become more better that just be concentration on yourself own projects and works which you have. Thanks for great content.
