      @@elogsews6940 sho would you recommend a used Juki industrial sewing machine or a janome sewing machine ,for making clothes

    • @elogsews6940
      @elogsews6940  Год назад

      I haven't used either of them... But if you plan on making a lot of clothes quickly. Am industrial machine is best.
      If your only plan on taking it on as a hobby and you won't sew very often, then maybe a domestic machine is what you want
      Do your own research though, so you can know which decision is best

    Hi there, amazing video, thank you!
    I have one question, I'm relatively new to sewing - why was it not necessary to zig zag/serger the hems in this case? Because the jacket is lined insides or?
    Thank you!

    • @elogsews6940
      @elogsews6940  Месяц назад +1

      Hey. Thanks for watching
      That’s right. The lining hides all the raw edges, so we don’t need a serger

    How do you finish your seams? Do you use an overlock, serger, zigzag stitch or something else?

    • @elogsews6940
      @elogsews6940  4 дня назад +1

      I didn’t use an overlock or anything like that for this project. Since it’s lined, all the seams are hidden so we don’t have to ‘finish’ them

    Great video what fabric are you using?

    • @elogsews6940
      @elogsews6940  Год назад

      Thanks!
      The outside fabric is Cotton Twill. The Lining, I'm not sure the name of... Its like a faux silk type of situation...
      Then for the cuffs and collar, It's just Ribbing

    Did you say the material you used for your jacket?

    • @elogsews6940
      @elogsews6940  9 месяцев назад

      Hey. I think so. (It's cotton twill for the outside, and the lining is this silk-like fabric that I'm not sure the name of)

    whats the seam allowance?

    • @elogsews6940
      @elogsews6940  Год назад

      It is half an inch. There are times when it should be quarter inch (and I indicate that in the video)
