Watched this and had to immediately go use our pet scale to test my 45-70 pro hunter pistol. I didn't think it was that heavy and was happy to learn it was less than 3.5 lbs. Ive taken a deer at 100 yds with it.
I have been shooting a encore in center fire rifle and pistol. Encore in muzzle loader rifle and pistol for 25 years and with my 3 100 dollar trigger jobs it is a perfect weapon. My number one reciever is way under a pound pull.its perfect for me and my pistols .its so lite when its cocked you can push the hammer forward with your finger and it will fire.its not for everyone but it's perfect for me.its probably 2 ounces
I have no creep in my Thompson Center Encore Triggers and so I am not sure what the cause of that would be. The "firing" spring responsible for how hard the hammer hits the firing pin is replaceable and if you have having light primer strikes - you may want to check that. (I have also seen where the firing pin gets really dirty - or the get cleaned really good but gets oiled too heavy and if there is oil in the socket around the firing pin it can cause a hydrolic lock and slow or stop the firing pin from striking properly - I prefer to clean my firing pin and holder and wipe it with an oiled cloth - then wipe it dry with a paper towel and reinstall. The folks at bellmtcs.com/ may be able to offer suggestions for both issues. Best of luck with those issues.
GREAT INFO THERE MY FRIEND…. WONDER WHAT THOMPSON CENTER IS GOING TO DO??? I WANTED TO BUY A ONCORE MUZZLE LOADER BUTT THERES NOT ONE TO BE FOUND. DAMN I WANTED A MUZZLE LOADER.
Not so much a commercial as a "way to go" for this vendor putting out a great product with which I am pleased. I specifically do not show the assembly, because this is not particularly a "how to" - the manual that comes with the trigger parts kit shows how to disassemble and reassemble. This video is mostly about the results - changing from a 5.5 lb trigger pull to 2.125 lb trigger pull.

Thanks for the feedback. I think a 3.5lb trigger is completely acceptable for a hunting setup. Best wishes and Good Hunting!

Here's an awesome video on complete breakdown and assembly
does this solve the long creep and light primer strike (misfires)?

Why make a video if you do not show the put back together. it looks like a commercial for Bell
