@NSCModz I have a ps3 backwards compatible that wouldn't take disc like this video so I tried replacing the drive and still nothing happened so I figured the chip was bad aswell but after swapping the chips out there was still no difference. I think just maybe I installed the chip backwards.

Ive opened the IHS on the gpu and im getting good temps on the gpu. i cant the cpu ihs off. ive fixed the ylod again using flux and a heatgun. and i have a problem on the same ps3. when it is working it take like 20 attempts to turn it on.
Most importat is the cooling, if ist gets overheating then you will get the YLOD wich is a warning that it gots to hot... Removing both IHS and apply new Thermal Compound will help... If you done that all, then do also some holes on the back near the fan for better air flow... and if it is posible Mount also a fan mod ajuster to set the fan a bit faster...

Sure.. all PS3´s has on the Blu_Ray device a small Mainboard, this Mainboard needs to have the same keys as the PS3 board... so if you have replace one, you will need to remarry it to the PS3, because it´s an other one... The Remarry will do the same Keys for the new Device board, otherwise you will not be able to use it...
OMFG so i didnt have a psp and seen on psxscene there was a pkg to put it in fsm.. i downloaded got the right beep and txt saying it was good. fucking system restarted w black screen and now the fucking thing turns off after 30 seconds. Im so fucking pissed and should have known better then to use psxscene shit.. do you know how to fix this shit... i do have a e3 flasher if that helps and the dump files but how do i get this to update when it shuts off after 30 seconds

Great video. I have a stock CECHG01 which i think is a 40 GB model that i am trying to fix for a friend. I have had no experience prior with the PS3. I had to replace dead control board and laser lens. So it has power now and looks like its reading the disc with the blue laser light but no disc icon ever appears under Games. I tried blu ray movies and DVDs and same thing. I then updated to the latest firmware which i think is 4.5 or 4.6 and still no go. I had no idea about the need to remarry until i researched this problem so i will have to try that next. Will these steps work for the stock 4.5/4.6 or do i have to use the Rogero. I never heard of Rogero before now, i assume it's a custom interface for PS3? Can it go to Rogero from stock 4.5/4.6?
Hi Rogoro is a CFW = Custom Firmware So this works ONLY if you have Flash your PS3, otherwise it will not work. You will Need to Flash/Downgrade your PS3 to Firmware 3.55, and then you can Install Rogero. Greetings

How does a disc drive respond when it is not remarried? Does it not work at all or takes disc in then doesn't read?
It will still take the disks, but you not gonna see it in the xmb menu.
