Hi, excuse me, i follow the process and it run, but when i reinstalled the ofw 4.90 and insterted the original disc of a game the ps3 getting this message “an error occurred during the start operation (80010017) when trying to run game.
Does it really take 30 minutes of constant clicking to get this to work? Edit: If I'm relacing the whole drive do I need the noBD update or can I just use the normal update file?

I have 2 cecha01 units. One has a defective disc drive that I used to use as a media unit. And then my main unit went ylod. I moved the disc drive from the dead unit to the media center. I did change the control board but it still won't read discs. Did I do something wrong?
@@MutedSquawkBox yes you either did something wrong or the logic board could have been damaged. Remarry the board to your working ps3 and you should be okay otherwise replace the laser. I did a video on this recently
The 3004 does not have a disc drive logic board. You will be fine just order a new drive and install it. The cables plug in directly on the mainboard. If you need a drive we got them in stock here: fasttechstore.com/playstation-3-parts/p/kes-450-blu-ray-disc-drive
@@fasttechvideo ok this is very wierd i bought 2 of them for the 3004 series and none is working pluged everything and nothing is working accept taking discs and it ejects but it doesnt read anything. When he takes the disc he sounds like hes going to eject it and then nothing happens
Hello i have a question. I have a PS3 slim with a motherboard that has a broken HDMI. I tried to fix it but it's still not working. Could i just swap the whole motherboard with a fully working one? If i'm understanding correctly the blu ray drive won't read discs unless the board and blu ray drive are matched. This video makes it sound like swapping the whole motherboard will work but people keep telling me it wont. I'm confused.

So unlike the Xbox where after you download the Os You have to open it up on the computer and select the correct files to put on the drive that can only be done on a PC. The PlayStation download only requires you to format the flash drive to Fat32 and drag and drop the download to the file they have you create on the flash drive. I have successfully done this on a MacBook Air for my PS3 when an update was corrupted and I had to fix it.

In cfw the PS3 ready the original disc and start the game , but when i install ofw 4.90 the PS3 read the game but don't start

I went through all of the steps. Blu-ray, dvd, and ps2 all show the loading symbol but they never pop up
You could have a bad laser or a bad logic board but first double check all the ribbon cables.

I don't have the original drive. But when I do this with the new drive it says successful but no disks read they just spin. Is it the laser

That is because your logic board is not paired.
Well, guessing the 4.91 put a wrench in this guide then.
