Great tip on the ugly gloves! Thanks
Thank you for sharing and showing us what the pro's do ..
Thanks for sharing your genius tips on this never ending problem! Happy New Year! From Fort Worth,Texas
I just changed my bathtub to a shower, I think the tile man may have gotten some sand or grout in my pipes! I’ve tried everything 😢
😐 I have a similar problem, but it's my neighbours in the apartment downstairs that have recently done work on their apartment which has resulted in grout/cement in my pipes.
Nearly broke my washing machine yesterday! 😢
Found little pieces of tile/cement in the drain filter
What's a drop head wire? I can't get my snake to go into the trap. It won't turn the corner no matter what I do or how long I try. It won't go.
thank you for your video you use drop head with what brand of cable and what size ?
Thank for your information it help to know
Great video! What size of cable does that machine currently have?
Thank you for the video
Is cloggage a word? 😁 Thanks a lot. Very helpful.
I had a plumber come clean out my shower drain with the snake and a day later its clogged again after he told me nothing was brought up during the cleaning process. What could be causing this? My house is over 100 years old
Thank you brother 🦾
the drain snake is diferrent than the one you used. Can you put a link
Right on you are local.
I have a 1960s house, and this ahower drain wont snake. And the pipe goes down about a foot. I camt evem see the bend . Amd my snake wont go
How long of an auger should I use in/through my 2nd floor shower stall. (*I live in a single family, 2-story house)
The thing is if its done it once it will do it again. Surly it is bad design poor plumbing and general a mess. Size of the drain could be wrong as well. You have work out the incoming water to the size of the shower outlet which could be to small to take away the water. Then there is does it have a fall from the shower tray to the outside drain. Then you have the joints where they proper sanded outside and inside the pipe. then you could also have a puff pipe added just after the trap so that the pull does not pull all the water out of the trap but keeps a seal to prevent smell. I don't know whether you have strict regulations for this probably not. Then somebody that has had no training for plumbing do the job. If i was buying a house in the states it would be one of the items i would include because it surely costs a fortune to replace the drain especially if its under concrete. This is just first impression.
What is that machine call?
I tried an auger, it wouldn't work, is it better to just shell out the money and rent a snake machine?
Will it be easier if i used the Air pump ?!
It can be super deep in the drain pipes huh?
good stuff bro
what do you do when it just won't push down any farther? I can pull it out and try different heads but just can't get it past either the clog or a joint/trap
Try pushing down on the cable in reverse.
What kind of gloves are those?
"Ugly gloves." You can get different similar competing brands from the big box stores or online such as Amazon. They're a must have with the bigger auger snakes. You can never be too safe.
you use a bucket for your foot? is it so you dont get electricuted
It's so his shoes don't get wet.
I can’t seem to get my snake through the trap of the shower. Like the angle it turns the cable won’t bend like that
It's good to have a variety of different snakes/augers for various jobs. Highly recommend you have a couple different size snakes and attachments. Perhaps you can just run the cable (snake) without an attachment. Good luck. Be persistent. 🤔
would you snake just the same for a bathroom sink?
yeah but bypass the p trap and go straight into the wall. if that doesn't work then go through the roof vent, can use a bigger cable
How long is your cable?
I have a ryobi small home owner version of this. The cable is about 20 feet long.
@@shackdackpack thanks. I had a 10ft. Only cleared for a day, bought a husky 25ft yesterday will try again
👍
How much did you charge for this?
$225
