Still going strong after 4yrs. Also have to say this is in the top couple instructionals I've seen out of dozens, somehow you removed the anxiety inducing part the others tend to have
Thanks bro I watched a lot of different videos about this so I could figure the best way for me to do it, and yours was the best one by far. None of that fancy crap, straight forward and relatable.
Probably the best tire change video I have watched!! nothing fancy, very good explanation. I like that you pounded the no more than 90 part. I have changed many of tires on Mountain Bikes, doing my first 2 dirt bikes this weekend. I did just order a Bead Buddy, reason just for extra help.
I watched serval videos and pinched 2 tubes. After watching your video I was able to successfully change both tires with no issues. I feel confident I could even do it in the desert one day with a flat. Great video! Thanks for filming this!
If you ride in the desert you will have flat tires in the desert. And you will NOT have a stand like this stupid idiot to hold the bike up while you remove the wheel. Better put some thought into that.
I just spent the better part of my afternoon trying to change the tube on my rear tire and had so much trouble. Watched your video and I got it done in less than 30 minutes. Two lessons learned,1) I need better/longer spoons 2) use lots of lube. Thank you sir, much appreciated
Thanks man! Worked like a charm. I was having problems getting the bead started so I went opposite side of the rim lock to start and boom on it went. Filled it with air and hopefully it will be full in the morning! 1st time doing it and I’m 62! Checked it this morning and no leaks!
Thank you for taking the time to post this video. I am halfway through changing my rear tyre for the first time and am learning how to do this. Much appreciated 😊
Thanks man, saved my day. The part that begins at 5:27 is what i needed. Couldn't win my battle against a very old back tyre on a 40+ year old allroader. And watching the regular how to on an easy rim and tire only gave me frustration. Really, big thak you. 👍
Thanks man. I skipped this vid at first because it's 24 F****** minutes!!! I was like "Easiest way, but the longest video?" 🤔 So I watched a couple others only a few minutes long, and it was frustrating and not working for me the way they did it. I came back to yours and finished changing my tire successfully lol, so thank you!!!
literally i looked at a bunch of vid's and i'm generally mechanically inclined and pick stuff up quick. I've changed lots of car/truck tires on old school manual machine but this was the only vid that put it in perspective that actually helped me and i ended up changing my tire in my bedroom, no stand with 1 spoon and 1 iron watching this vid thanks for the help good job keep it up it helped me and I've been around bikes my whole life just never changed a dirt bike tire myself now i have. only issue i had was the rim-lock and valve stem were blinded up or stuck with dirt and took a bit to get free
bruh now when i’m changing my tires i’m gonna specifically quote you as i follow the steps to doing so 😂 funny but very straight forward and easy vid man i love it
changed the rear tire on a klr and had a helluva time with the stem through the rim. first time I saw it done this way and hoping it works as well for me. Great vid and tips.
Dude you helped me a ton! I put on a Kenda for my KTM 500 and it was a SOB! I'll be very lucky if I didn't get the tube pinched. Went a little over 90 degrees a few times but it was so stiff it just wouldn't go. Those tips on the rim lock and valve stem are awesome! Well done brotha!
Simple,Fast, and Safe!!!Thanks to the Secret Sauce. Awsome Vid Bro. Easy to do. And you are right 80 bucks for fancy tools is better to spend the $ on a new tire. Thanx
Great video. I dismount the same as you but for the install I use the little metal plate that comes with the Tubliss kit. It helps you drop the rim down into the tire with the tube already installed. It’s exactly the reverse sequence as your removal, easy peezy.
Mate, that was really funny! You come across as a real animal - with a filthy bike and throwing tools and tubes around the place but you got the job done and there was some really useful technical tips in there so thanks for the laugh and thanks for taking the time time. Cheers.
ur awesome bro.. Ive changed a lot of tires and Ive never seen the way you dismounted the tire by letting the rim slide in the tire...great shit ... cant wait to try it..well actually i can but i wont forget that
Dude so smooth! Shit I would make it a business. Charge 20 bucks a tire to install. 3 tires an hour x 40 hours = $2,400 per week. That's $124,800 a year just changing tires and working for yerself! Awesome!! Id totally pay 20 bucks per tire just not to deal with it!
Dude your a fucking lifesaver, just did my first tire change ever. Ruined my old tube yesterday, but had a new one cus I expected that. Then watched your video step by step did 90 degree thang and it literally went on as fast as your video took. Fuckin aye dude thank you
TheBaitMaster420 Update: went on like butter! That 90 degree tip and installing with some air in the tube also went a long ways. Before this video, I popped my tube - totally sucked. Cheers!
@@TheBaitMaster420 for real. I've seen this same spam post and response on half the YT videos I've watched recently. Great tire technique BTW. I died laughing at the Bill Cosby comment... yeah, that happened.
Excellent video, no bs. This would be invaluable for someone to learn how to repair on a trail. I’ve used coolant in a pinch for “secret sauce” just take a little from the bike, it’s temporary anyway.
Have you tried taking one side off the rim while the rim is still on the bike and then on the other side break the bead then take the rim off the bike ?
Hell yeah def the easiest way ive found on you tube like the other dude said no fancy crap.... just the at home remedy lol this is the video i watched before i slapped a pain in the ass tube on
I am new to dirt bikes in general. I am slightly confused because I have found many have the rear axle nut on the brake disc side opposite from this video. I am helping a friend with a honda crf 450. Please advise!
Hey dood I just changed both my tires with no problems but I don't know if the beads seated correctly. I inflated them with one of those portable compressors that plugs into a 12v car thingy and got them up to 25 psi or so and I did see the bubbles you talked about in the video but I didn't hear anything that'd indicate me the thing was over. Is it possible that the bead didn't seat inflating it to that pressure? in that case, what could happen if i roll on tires not seated? the video was very helpful!
You won’t always get a pop, depends on the tire and rim a bit. That said, even if they don’t seat all the way often times riding the tires will seat them the rest of the way. Another thing you can try is slamming the tire and rim against the ground tread down to shock the sidewalls a bit and persuade the beads to seat. Congrats on the tire mounting and I hope the new treads do you well!
I don’t think mine has a rim lock, would the process be any different? it’s an 85 Honda XL600R with a stiff ass old tire, had to take a break before I would break something lol now That I watched ur vid though I’ll out some the different things you mentioned, hope I didn’t pinch the old tube already
Is it possible that the reason you are going through tubes so quickly is because you are getting a tiny bit of movement from the tube in the tire and it is causing issues with the valve stem nut tightened down? Other than that observation, it's great to see you do this tire with only spoons, after awhile it seems like a waste to have so many little tools for a simple process.
That's definitely a possibility, there's also an ass load of sharp rocks in Utah that pinch tubes like a son of bitch. Its probably a combination of both.
Easy Job.......only issue, My bead wouldn't Seat....so I dropped pressure, soapy water around edges, Re-inflate to 40psi, and got a rubber mallet and started hitting the tire in circles, done.......Bead Buddy was a waste of money, never used mine.......just got 3 -14" spoons from ebay. Also, Taking small bites is key......people let their "ego" take over, and that's why they struggle....work smarter, not harder.
I have probably watched over 20 tire changing videos this is by far the best one

Thanks for the video, hoss. 46 years old and just changed my first motorcycle tires! I’ll let you know in the morning if they’re still holding air. :D

"Two spoons and no bead buddy"

Dude.. great techniques and explanation. Can you please edit in a tire screeching sound @ 8:02 !!?
I am new to dirt bikes in general. I am slightly confused because I have found many have the rear axle nut on the brake disc side opposite from this video. I am helping a friend with a honda crf 450. Please advise!
Mine is on backwards. Reason for that is so my dune flag is mounted on the other side and therefore won’t get melted by the pipe.
“Still gonna send it here.....” 🤣🤣🤣
How do I make sure the brake pads are correct
nice vid
Solid RFT (Right Fuggin There) 😆

just fought one on Saturday...no Bead Buddy, 3 spoons and wd-40 did the trick...although I wish I had found this first!

No rim lock should be similar and easier. I’d run one though. Save you from the tire slipping on the rim and tearing off the valve stem
