    I am wondering if there is a down side to these ACCU bushings. I say this because of the fact that these bushings are a custom made bushing. If I ever to purchase another CZ pistol that uses the ACCU bushing, is CZ Custom going to be making them still down the road?

      Nicholas Evans seems like there is no end in sight. They have Accu Shadow 2’s now as well as other variants.

    Hello man, thank you very much for the video, I really appreciate it 👍👍. Hopefully my accu shadow will arrive in my hand this March and now I know how to take it down 😁, By the way, I live in Indonesia and shoot in IPSC

    I forgot to ask however it looked as though you screwed the bushing down on to the barrel until it stopped thans back it up till it aligned with the bushing plug?

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  9 лет назад +1

      Yeah it will thread past the point it needs to, I just screw it down and back it up a bit.

    id love to get a set of those in Orange but im not having any luck. i might have to settle for red. I freaking love my AccuShadow!! CZ is starting to take over the local USPSA Club here.

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  10 лет назад

      They don't come in orange. you could have someone cerakote them for you but they only come in a few colors : Red, Blue, Silver, Black, yellow and Pewter.
      Check out this link to see what they all look like: www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=195400&p=2179791

      And yeah CZ is definitely taking over USPSA and IDPA here too.

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  10 лет назад

      And i (sorta) lied to you, CZ made a special run of orange grips in 2012.... www.wolverinesupplies.com/details/9192/CZ-75-SP-01-Shadow-2012-Model-9mm-with-Orange-Aluminum-Grips.aspx finding someone to sell them will probably be impossible, but there is a chance!

      I know this post is old, but CZ USA carries the orange grips from time to time now if anyone is still looking -

    last match a fellow shooter shooting a Sig X5 shot my Accushadow after the match and he's now the owner of a Shadow Custom! its nothing short of amazing in my book! the only thing that shoots like it is my Springfield TRP I shoot in Single Stack. and finding someone selling the orange grip would be harder than finding a needle in a hay stack because you know theres a needle in there but no orange grips are out there ;(

      I still get excited every time I get to shoot mine. I've never shot a gun that is so easy and comfortable to use. As I can afford it I'd like to get the SP01 version as well......but thats gonna be a bit haha. They are pricey, but they are well worth it!

    You said you changed some springs out to lighten the da pull even more. Would you mind sharing exactly what you changed? Thanks for your reviews. I own an sp-01 accu shadow & it's awesome. I'm thinking about picking up a 75 shadow custom like yours.

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  9 лет назад

      Sure, I put in an 11# mainspring or hammer spring...people call it both, I also put in a reduced power trigger return spring, and a reduced power firing pin spring.
      I have even lighter springs which make the SA about 1.5lbs and the DA around 2.75lbs but that's a bit too "touchy" for me. Plus when you go that light you slow the hammer down and it may not fire all ammo. With the setup I have in it now never had an ignition issue.

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  9 лет назад

      Just the springs and the trigger return spring to lighten the DA pull. I run a 11.5# mainspring

    Hello man, I have one question about accu shadow. Why mine while trying to take the rod and spring is kinda hard? I mean I can not just take it like you in this video. I have to tap that little cap and use wrench. Thank you

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  7 лет назад

      I'm not sure why some are loose and others are harder. I know mine had a
      wrench with it as well but I never needed to use it. Comparing the two I
      would rather have the tighter fit like yours though at least you know
      the bushing isn't going to fall off accidentally!

    So you run a SP-01 now is it the Accu version? Curious because I am going to buy one and want to try USPSA so I think you can't have the Accu version and wondering if it's really worth it? Can you do a review on your SP-01 Shadow? Thanks enjoy your videos and subbed

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  8 лет назад +1

      Brian, the Accu SP01 is legal in USPSA now, and while it does have great accuracy for USPSA the difference isn't really needed. Most USPSA targets are within ~20 yards which a normal SPO1 or Shadow is plenty good for. I have the Shadow Targets and love them. I can do a review of them for sure.

      +Vanniek 71 awesome looking forward to the review and thanks for responding so quick. I will check out the custom SP-01 Shadow I live close to the CZ Custom shop 😃

      +Brian Kelly nice man, talk to Stuart and tell him Kris from Colorado sent you, I've bought 4 guns from them now :) I was out there earlier this year and stopped in, not much to see in the showroom - I think they are always sold out lol

      +Vanniek 71 I stopped by CZ Custom and looked at the Shadow Orange as well as others but loved to look and feel of the Orange seriously considering buying it. I see that you posted on Brian Enos site that you had or have an Orange...do you still have it? If I get it I would get them to polish and install short reset, lighter springs and extended firing pin. The slide to frame was tight with no rattling. Decisions.....decisions 😃

    Hello man, do you use buffer in you accu shadow?

    • @vanniek71
      @vanniek71  8 лет назад

      I don't have this gun anymore because at the time it wasn't USPSA legal, I run the SPO1's now but they are the same - anyway no I have never run the buffer although it might be a good idea, the guide rods in these guns get pretty beat up after you run them for a while.
