Awesome gun, the Shadow 2. Heard a lot of great things about Cajun gun works. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for commenting and watching
I have this CZ pistol but not with a trigger job. I can only imagine what it is like once it is Cajunized!
Cajunized is a super way to describe the amazing trigger associated with their work!
Great demo!
Thank you, sir!
Very nice CZ. Good shooting.
Thank you, sir.
Such a nice and cool pistol.
Thanks for commenting, John.
Who would have guessed a CZ Shadow2 with a CGW trigger would be fast and accurate?
It's amazing for sure!
@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC CZ life
Thanks for the video! Do you think the Cajun trigger helped with being able to reach it with your trigger finger in double action? The reason I ask is I always wanted a CZ 75, but it has a long reach to the trigger in double action mode and I could never get enough of my finger on the trigger to feel comfortable operating it in double action.
Thanks for your question. I'm not a CZ expert at all so that qyesuionwould be better address by CGW. I have very small hands, so the CZ stock trigger not only feels very long but so very heavy to me. I get it, it's a DA/SA trigger but the two CZ Shadows I tried included this one and the Shadow 2 by CZ Custom were simply excellent. Both triggers are so good, silky smooth yet just the right about of weight for a DA pistol, specially one for competition. The SA trigger is sweet, crisp and has a shot reset... as in shoot fast!
@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC Maybe that's the ticket. If the trigger is better maybe you don't have to be all the way up to the first joint on your finger, like with a DA revolver, to be able to run it.
@@Fehrman21114 I ran it with the trigger on the outer side of the pad of my trigger finger just like I do with my striker fired guns. Worked great.
Huge difference in the DA reach. Night and day for me and I have 2 shadows, an a01 and small hands.
I was thinking about sending my S2 to CGW or the CZ Custom Shop to get improved, but I might just order the Eemann Tech upgrade kit and ultimate trigger and just install those myself instead of sending my gun away. The kit only costs $82 but of course then I would have to do the work myself. Decisions decisions 😀
SUre you can do the work yourself but there is value to having qualified gunsmiths do the work and the CGW triggers is so damned good!
@@GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC I have my eye on the Eemann Tech ultimate trigger and their upgrade kit. The kit includes a bunch of parts, and only costs $82. I really don't want to send my pistol away to get work done.
Did you ever get that Eeman tech trigger installed ?? I’m interested to see if it was any good
@@joes8292 No, I've pretty much kept my Shadow 2 just like it came out of the box. The only change I made was installing the extended safety, and I love that. I'm really thinking about buying a TS2 now.
Good stuff
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and commenting.
How would you compare the Shadow 2 "Double Action " trigger against S&W 686 "Double Action" trigger?
Thanks for the question. I feel like they are different triggers. My S&W has had a trigger job so it's amazing. It's important to remember that the revolver DA trigger cocks the hammer and releases the hammer but also the action rotates the cylinder. On a DA semi auto there is no cylinder (obviously) so to me, they a DA Revolver and a DA semi-auto feel differently.
The DA trigger on the Shadow II with the Cajun trigger package is an exceptional trigger but different from the 686.

Would have been cool to actually see the trigger pull & trigger reset.
Great point thanks for sharing that. Unfortunately we were on a very tight product schedule and since the pistol belonged to my friend, I had to work around his limited time at the range. Thanks for your comments and for watching.
So, no information in the trigger other than it’s great? No trigger pull weights? No measurement of reset distance? Just you shooting?
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately I was at the range and a friend showed up with this and several other pistols…had 25-30 minutes to shoot and record four pistols . I literally had about four minutes to do a quick review on this pistol. I unfortunately , I did not have a trigger measure. I’m pretty sure if that’s something important to you you can reach out to Katy gun Works and ask them or go to their website and find out what the trigger pull weight is when they do the trigger job.
Again thanks for the feedback. I appreciate you watching.
What grips do you have on that Shadow 2?
Sir, that is a great question. This pistol belong to a friend of mine and haven’t had a chance to learn exactly what grips he was using.
