So for most of these goku is bad guy for not killing off his opponents but then says he’s a bad guy for not sparing his brother who literally told goku to kill everyone on the planet and kidnaps his son etc.
Goku didn’t have anywhere to take cell he couldn’t think of anywhere else he couldn’t take him to space bc their isn’t any energy to sense there and with when he could have killed fat buu he wanted his friends to do it so they wouldn’t depend on him forever bc he won’t always be there so he wanted his friends to do it and he wasn’t strong enough to beat fused super buu and when he let cell loose on gohan that was bc goku knew he couldn’t beat cell and he knows gohan could once he let loose his power
Also, he wasn't "forgetting" he was strong enough take out his foes. He was wanting them to be able to reach their full power so he could have a better fight.
He had no choice but to kill raditz otherwise he would take gohan and raditz was stronger than goku and piccolo combined so they're only choice is to kill him since his impression of sayins are savages and doesn't want raditz to take gohan and destroy earth so that's the only way he could protect all of them
He was preparing his son to fight threats who danger the world while goku would be dead so he might as well give cell a senzu bean to show gohan how to fight and give him a fighting experience
Some of these examples were bad. Im not even trying to hate Edit: Also Goku gave raditz a chance to go home when he let go of his tail, but raditz tricked him so he had to go
OK... Then goku was supposed to be the villain A born psychopath.. Programmed to kill and destroy But he was brain damaged... And goku is the Monkey King... He is meant to be that way He is mischievous... He defies the heavens for his whims Only pride went to vegeta
It's not that Goku is a bad guy, he's just so pure-hearted that most of time he just comes off as completely oblivious to how things such as killing king kai can bother them.
These are the worst Goku moments? No wonder he's considered one of the greatest heroes in fiction. These moments are nothing. Hell, Superman has done much, much, MUCH worse things as a hero.
Tournament of Power arc, he instigates the tournament which risks nearly every universe to get obliterated for the mere prospect of fighting stronger people alone. In the Eng dub he's all about being "heroic", but in the original japanese versions and further confirmed by Toriyama himself, Goku is no hero--the fact he's defeated "bad guys" is merely a byproduct, his only real desire is to fight. Yeah, in the Eng dub he tries to "teach them a lesson" and thus spares his enemies while adding a "I don't kill" clause to it, but in the original japanese version he doesn't see anyone he fights as "enemies", pe se, but rather as "opponents" and his reason for sparing them is purely in hopes that they get stronger so he can fight them again; thus yet again not just putting his friends and family at risk but millions--even billions of lives at risk just to sate his desire to fight strong opponents. Thus, just as Toriyama often explains and is oft frustrated by this view that Goku is a "hero" when really his ideals and motivations are not at all heroic and actually extremely self-involved and self-serving and his saving everyone--even his friends and family--is largely by mere happenstance or byproduct in fulfilling his own desire to fight. The problem with this video is CBR failed to focus on that aspect of Goku's character and antics and point to the numerous examples of that, rather than the examples CBR gave, but the over all point CBR attempted to make was not wrong and was in-line with Goku's creator and author's own summary of the character as well.
@@Apillis124 You do realize that whole tournament of power thing was debunked quite a long time ago by one of the supreme kais. Zeno was going to erase the universes regardless. Goku gave them a fighting chance.
@@Apillis124 You know, when I read this, it makes me realize that Goku is what he's supposed to be: a martial artist. They're supposed to improve themselves through fights and fighting strong opponents. Sparring his opponents to allow them to grow stronger and fight him again sounds like something a martial artist would do. He may be an accidental hero at times, but he's always has been an always will be a true martial artist. Also, the Tournament of Power is the definition of a necessary evil. People tend to forget that if Goku had never suggested this Tournament to the Zenos to begin with, they would have erased all the lower mortal universes without giving any of them a chance just so they wouldn't have to manage them anymore. Goku's Tournament saved the universes, especially since 17 wished them back with the Super Dragon Balls after he won the Tournament. The Tournament of Power arc has always been the weakest argument as to why Goku is a bad guy, and it always will be.

Ok so u keep sayn that Goku uses Gohan like a human shield when you don’t realize that Gohan had always had more potential, more strength, and more smarts. Goku had never put Gohan in spot that he could not get himself out of.
I feel like the reason Goku gave Cell the Senzu Bean was because without it, Cell may not have been able to push Gohan hard enough to trigger Gohan's rage, which in turn could've resulted in Gohan being unable to defeat Cell despite Cell already being in an exhausted state. But I also believe that the reason Goku wanted Gohan to fight Cell was because he believed Gohan's rage would allow him to ascend to the next level of Super Saiyan, which Goku wanted to observe in order to achieve it himself, since Goku has always had a knack for learning techniques simply by watching them happen. To me, the most criminal thing in that whole mess was Goku's utter obliviousness to Gohan's disinterest in fighting, which almost caused his plan to blow up in his face. Not to mention how utterly shocked Goku was when Piccolo spelled it out for him, evidencing just how clueless he was. But at least at that moment, Goku asked for a Senzu Bean himself so he could step back into the fight in Gohan's place.
There's also the fact that he wanted Gohan to replace him. The following quote isn't canon, but it very much does ring true with what Goku was working towards with Gohan, "I ain't gonna be around forever. Sooner or later, death is gonna...stick, y'know? So what then? Someone's gotta be here when I'm not." (DBZA episode 60 part 1) The fact he wanted Gohan to be ready to take his place, combined with his obliviousness to Gohan not liking to fight, it makes sense.
@@toastedjawa3620 That exact line may not be canon, but the logic did canonically carry into the Buu Saga. Throughout that whole story, Goku was frequently doing things to ensure that his friends and family would be strong enough to fight for themselves. He even states at one point that he could've probably killed Majin Buu when they first fought by going all-in with Super Saiyan 3, but held back because he wanted the others to defeat Buu instead, to prove that they could.
Vegeta or Trunks at that point could've killed second form Cell. Also, when Cell puked up 18 against Gohan, any of the Super Saiyans could've killed him. Gohan toyed with him too which didn't help.
Goku did not did anything wrong he knew he could'nt finish cell and it was not bad that he gave cell a senzu bean he wanted to make the fight fair for gohan and cell get it know? But this guy is dumb he says goku got angry against black and zamasu because They killed his familly cbr is dumb

Chi Chi makes Gohan study alllllll the time over saving the world and says that studying is more important than that and they come from a warrior race that are just addicted to fighting and training
Ok someone please explain how another person in an alternative time line wishing to swap bodies with Goku and then murdering people is Goku fault if Goku was no longer in his own body?
Goku put gohan up against cell because he knew he would win not luck. In the hyperbolic time chamber he saw gohan get mad and unleash some rad energy and he knew from that point gohan was stronger and was the one to defeat cell SMH🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
If Goku never destroyed the RR Army cell would not exist and if Goku never went to earth his brother would not go looking for him there and goku would mention the dragon balls so nappa and vegeta wouldn't come there fore vegeta would not lose to goku and the gang so he would stay at frieza's ship so frieza would not invade earth and if vegeta was never gokus rival then vegeta would never turn majin and beerus wouldn't go to earth because there is no super saying god so therefore zamasu would just be making tea for gowasu for the next 5,000,000+ years and therefore Zeno would not know about fighting and if paragus didn't know where vegeta was, so the broly movie wouldn't happen but the only downside is majin tien because of being the strongest man on earth babidi would seek interest but krillin and Yamaha would defeat him soooooo yeah

Goku isn’t as bad a father as people perceive him to be, because during his fight with Goku Black he was worried more about the fact that Goku Black killed Chi Chi and Goten and not the actual Goku from that timeline. He also decided to stay dead so that peace can reign.
Practically all of these make no sense(Other than a few). Like the one with "Gohan was forced to fight cell". Goku got Gohan to fight him simply because he knew he couldn't beat him, and that Gohan was their "best chance" at beating him. I do agree that he shouldn't have given him the senzu bean, though. The reason he let the fight dragon on with Majin Buu was because he didn't want his friends to always rely on him, and get stronger for things that may happen, like in that situation. I do feel that he shouldn't of had chosen Hercule, and Dende over his sons. And when Goku's body was taken over by Ginyu, he couldn't do anything about that- heck, it wasn't even him inside that body anymore, how could he have helped that? He also had to kill his brother, or he would have taken his son from him and possibly destroyed the earth. So if you don't think that someone that has taken your son and will do whatever he wants with him isn't a valid enough reason to assist in killing him, then you got a few screws loose in the head. And since when is being a merciful person being a 'bad guy'? Even though not finishing the job may come back to haunt you, do you think that the bad guy, in this case, Dr. Geroe would have been nice enough to spare Goku? I will agree that Goku does leave her alone quite often, but wouldn't you leave some woman who's always nagging about everything you do for a living? Goku is from a warrior race, was born, and destined to be a fighter, and has to train in order to get stronger to fight. And Goku won't live forever, so he needs his son to learn to fight in order to take his place for when he dies. So the one who's not catching the point, and being 'bad' is kind of ChiChi, although she does want what's best for Gohan. The Goku Black one is kind just like what I said with Captain Ginyu. Goku didn't know Zamasu was going to be taking his body, and that's technically not Goku. That's someone who has taken control of, or possessed his body. He could. Not. Help. It. And the whole thing with Uub was also for the greater good. He was taking Uub so that he could one day replace Goku and carry in his legacy. So in the long run Goku was actually helping everyone, and looking out for them. While I'm not a Dragon Ball Weeb, I do like rational Answers, and opinions. Please think things like this through, it makes you seem you have no idea what you're talking about. :/
You forgot about starting the tournament of power which would erase the universes. Some people would say that it doesn't matter because the universes got wished back anyway but just think if universe 7(android 17) didn't win. Then the wish for the revival of the universes wouldn't have been made and Zeno would have gotten mad and destroyed everything. It said that in the show. Also in one of the episodes you can see that knowing the idea of being erased made a lot of people panic. Like universe 9 the city panicked and there was destruction and murder. Everything else on this list was bad.
3 years late but vados says universe 7 and 6 we’re going to get erased anyways so goku starting the tournament of power save their universes. Also the universes were never going to get erased since they only wish you could make were to wish every universe back or the super dragon balls would erase everything
I assume your not a dragon ball fan most of the stuff you said is wrong and he didn't know universes would be erased until after he been asked for a tournament
The gohan with cell one, goku knew he couldn’t beat cell, he also knew that gohan was stronger than him from training, there was no other choice since cell could kill all of them if he wanted
Goku made the smart choice to give Cell the bean because 1 he wanted a fair fight, 2 he knew Gohan was stronger and had potential, and 3 he knew that Cell would of probably gone all out and just sought out to kill Gohan instead of pushing Gohan to his potential.
Goku admitted he miscalculated the situation because he was overconfident with gohan King Kai and his pet.. Including his home suffered the consequences Goku had the nerve to usually forget his promise to bring them back with the dragon ball when king Kai had done so much to put up with goku constantly destroying his peaceful life
U can tell that this guy doesnt watch dragonball instant transmission is locking on to someones energy and sending u there so u cant just say tp me to mars or whatever
Goku isn’t a bad guy, he rarely if ever had done something bad for the sake of being bad. He’s just selfish, impulsive, and doesn’t think things through. He just wants to fight strong people, and sometimes that has bigger consequences than he intends. Like when he spared Frieza, and lately with the tournament of power. He was so infatuated with the idea of fighting strong people from other universes he didn’t consider the consequences it wold have.
It sort of does, He never provides for his family They survived especially with his inhuman appetite because chi chi's father was rich But it won't last forever.. That's why chi chi wants goku to work and provide for his family but goku doesn't care and he was just being forced to work
@@flyingsquirrel5209 obviously... How does that make you the good guy If it weren't for chi chi's father, they would be starving...

@@wisdomdibia1811 typical goku, goes to another planet in other world but doesn't fly far far away from king kai with cell
Yeah, I agree
Still a piece of shit move

Not saving Nappa. Not marrying Bulma. Not going back to school. Not saving his friends from being killed by Kid Buu.

Vegeta or Trunks at that point could've killed second form Cell. Also, when Cell puked up 18 against Gohan, any of the Super Saiyans could've killed him. Gohan toyed with him too which didn't help.
Krillin, Goku and Gohan also made things worse
Goku did not did anything wrong he knew he could'nt finish cell and it was not bad that he gave cell a senzu bean he wanted to make the fight fair for gohan and cell get it know? But this guy is dumb he says goku got angry against black and zamasu because They killed his familly cbr is dumb
