Please don't keep talking about what happens in the new trilogy. Favreau and Filoni could make the new trilogy not canon, let's keep watching it further and see where Luke's academy is heading. I know many people who doesn't want the new trilogy not being canon. Who knows the show might not even advance that far ahead to what happens with the new trilogy. We could also see Luke's potential love interest with Mara Jade if Filoni and Favreau decides to include her in future shows. Remember Filoni included Grand Admiral Thrawn as Canon, he originated from books written by Timothy Zahn.
only way I can think Grogu got out of the temple alive is he hid from troops and Vader and was found by Yoda and Kenobi when they returned into the temple.
Really hoping OverlordDVD is right and he takes the lightsaber and becomes Luke's first student instead of ben solo.

If someone had told me that I would ever see a live action adaptation of star wars, where Ashoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, cad bane, r2d2, boba Fett and other characters would be seen in one episode, I would have said, dream on. Never in 1 million years would I have thought that would happen. I'm excited to see what else happens in the future. Anyway, I am speechless and happy. Thank you Dave and John for making Star Wars, Star Wars again. 🙏♥️

No lie this episode gave me a similar feeling to seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home in cinema. LIke, the episode was a bit messy but there's no denying how it made me feel at points.

My boy Cad Bane has made it through The Clone Wars, The Empire, The Rebellion, duked it out with the most badass Jedi and the most badass clones, has now made it all the way to live-action, and is still kicking ass. What a fucking legend.

We’re getting Boba Fett vs. Cad Bane in the finale! I have a feeling that Cad Bane was the one who killed Boba’s Tusken Tribe, and it’s going to set Boba off! Luke, Ahsoka, and Grogu all in the same scene! This episode was the definition of perfection! Thank you Dave Filoni and everyone involved! It’s so great to be a Star Wars fan right now!

Don't forget we never saw the female tusken's body and the Bikers Boba killed didn't have her with them, so probably the pykes captured her for leverage against Boba later on.

Even if Grogu chooses to stay with Luke, he is making so much progress and he's doing it sooo fast that I doubt he would have to remain at Luke's academy for 20 years. Grogu, as Luke pointed out, is basically remembering stuff he already knew

@@wldcrd26 Cad Bane is a cartoon character. They have now moved on to this “plane of reality”. Thrawn? It used to be a legend. It was a mistake not to make part 7 with him. Now? It was transferred to the current canon (Mandalorian-Ahsoka scene). There is nothing to prevent them from rewriting the later part that many hate. If they want.
Let's look at the changes. Star Wars 7. :Wonder woman Rey, Mind tricks without training. Now: What does Luke say (Mandalorian S02 last episode)? Without training, talent is worth nothing. The series hits the sequels hard.
There are so many cameos in this show, I wouldn’t be surprised if Boba Fett turns up at some point too!

I've been thinking for a while now that Bryce D Howard, Dave Filoni, and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) should be given the reigns of the Star Wars franchise. They all seem to love it and understand it far better than the people chosen to write and direct the latest movie trilogy.

After watching the episode this morning, I was definitely worried Nikki might die from cuteness overload.
When I saw Grogu, Luke, and R2 I told my friend, "They might as well show Ahsoka." And then they did. After that Cad Bane showed up lol. I was speechless after this episode. Love your guy's reactions! You make awesome content and I always enjoy listening to your reactions/opinions 😁

For me it was Can Bane strolling into town like Lee Van Cleef. I mean, it's amazing to see main characters we've known for decades, and even a fan favourite like Ashoka on screen together. But seeing someone more obscure like Cad in live action was a genuine shock.
My mind blew up every 5 minutes of this episode. It just wouldn't let go. And Luke was perfectly made. The quality was insane
Given the relativity involved in Grogu's age, he could actually spend his time with Din, until Din dies, then return to Jedi training, because he would still be a "youngling".

Din's what, in his 30's or 40's? That means that he only has, at most, a few decades before he dies. A few decades for Grogu is like a few years for humans.
I'd say 10 years for humans is about 1 for Grogu. When we are introduced to him, they said he's 50, but he seems to be about 5. That would have made Yoda between 80 and 90 when he passed, which seems about right, in my opinion.
Yeah I’d say Din has half a century left in him, if he doesn’t die early of course. That would mean Grogu would be Ten years old. Grogu would be around 80 in the sequel era (in human years that’s eight) so he’s probably a pretty active kid traversing the galaxy doing Mandalorian stuff.
Din is approx 40. I said the same thing on another channel.... He can spend his dayz with Din and still have time to refresh his skills. The skills are there...just suppressed by his trauma

Cad Bane was the dopest moment ever. I didn't expect that. I like this character a lot.
I feel stupid that it never occurred to me until that ending that little Grogu will live far, FAR beyond the deaths of Din, Boba, Luke, Asoka, everyone. Suddenly their lives, their relationships with Grogu, seem so very brief. They need to hurry!
Yeah. Yoda was 900 I believe when he passed so Grogu has many, many lifetimes to live.

Grogu is definitely going to choose the Mandolorian. It gives Luke an excuse to go back to Tattoonine to deliver Grogu. Grogu would rather be with his friend/dad than be a Jedi. He’s already been semi trained anyways. Luke said it himself, he’s remembering more than actually receiving training. Plus, a lifetime for the Mandolorian is only a few years for Grogu, so might as well spend that time with Mando and figure out the whole Jedi thing as you go. It also leaves it open an arc for Mando to take Grogu to Mandolore, and also the potential that Grogu will inherit the Dark Saber from Mando eventually.
Well… maybe he’ll reforge the dark saber down the line.
Seeing Ashoka and Luke share a moment while training grogu was amazing, I know anakin’s ghost was crying somewhere 🥺🥲
I'm fine with Grogu taking his chain mail and telling Luke, "Peace." I also feel sorry for anyone who gave up on the show a few episodes in because it was too slow. I've been loving the whole ride.

This episode was just a rollercoaster of emotions, Grogu, young Luke standing side by side with live action Ashoka, live action CAD FUCKING BANE. Disney doing excellent world building for universes and giving Star Wars fans treats
The ending was SOOO Lone Wolf and Cub. Where the Samurai father lays down the option for his baby son. "Choose the ball my son, and I will send you to heaven to be with your mother. Choose my katana, and you will join me forever on the road to hell as we take our vengeance on those who wrong us." (paraphrasing) But you can guess which one the baby chose.
33:57 Ahsoka is a Togruta. The "hair" is actually movement sensors called the Montrals. If you want to get an idea of how long they can get, watch Ahsoka in the Rebels series or Jedi Master Shaak Ti in The Clone Wars.
34:45 Cad Bane also has history with a certain someone who handed him his rear-end in the Bad Batch Series: Fennec Shand. I'm eager to see Round 2.
I think it's safe to say Luke told her he brought Anakin back to the light. She's happier when thinking about him now unlike in Rebels and the Mandalorian.
Also, with Cad Bane, Boba has a personal reason to fight the Pykes now, not just over territory.
Cad freaking Bane wow he looks so awesome in live action, of course Corey Burton brings the character to life with his iconic voice but honestly the physical actor (who I assume is most likely a stunt double) was surprisingly very accurate and faithful to how he was animated in both Clone Wars and Bad Batch, the actor both had to wear a bunch of layered clothing AND extensive prosthetics but was able to bring across just how ruthless and imposing Bane can be, the combination of that with Burton’s voice fully brings Cad to life and imo it worked practically perfectly
Nikki, Steven, i mentioned this before on another YT that chapter 5 was an "Interlude" it said it at the top of the main title, most books have Interludes the story goes off the main character and focuses on another equally important character/s it could be multiple chapters as well. Grogu is going to end up with mando somehow. Mandos ship has that second seat pod perfect for Grogu. It doesn’t look like a typical droid pod as they usually aren’t seen covered by glass.
I loved the episode but I honestly had to laugh at the ridiculous choice Luke gives Grogu at the end because he was almost like, "Yeah, you can only choose Mando's sick-ass beskar chain mail OR my old master's awesome lightsaber. You can't have both because to be a Jedi is to forego ALL attachments to the people you love and if you don't choose the lightsaber I'm kicking you out of my school. Welp, I'll gonna go hang out with my sister and my bro-in-law and tell them all about how we just spent some time with my dad's old Padawan/BFF. You can let me know which one you'd prefer to have when I get back. No pressure, though!" I honestly hope he's just being a troll like Yoda was to him when they first met and he's trying to check how Grogu really feels about becoming a Jedi at this point, and he's gonna let him keep both regardless of what he chooses.
My thoughs exactly. I really hope that Luke is being a little shit trolling Grogu to judge his reaction instead of making him do something like that when he's constantly attached to people and situations.
I believe Luke to be 100% serious. And I am ok with that.
I'm pretty sure they are hinting that someday Grogu would grow up to be the next Mandalorian Jedi..
Mandolorian & Book of Boba Fett are essentially 1 show with different chapters, they are basically the same story sharing the same stage within Star Wars. Mando had an Ahsoka/Bobba episodes. Both these series have been incredible tbh, it's incredible we are getting live action of these characters.
I’m logging my prediction for the finale: Grogu chose the lightsaber. But during his training he has a vision that Mando is going to die. Same as Luke went through in ESB. Luke will take him to save Mando. Grogu will get shot but they’ll reveal he has the beskar on like Frodo. Luke let him have both.

Why are so many people confusing the responsibilities of a director and a screenwriter? Rian Johnson directed BB Ozymandias but he didn't write it! Moira Walley Beckett did! That's why the episode was great. BTW I think that JJ Abrams is a great director but a terrible screenwriter.

You also have to remember that since Grogu ages so slowly, it will take forever in Din’s lifetime to become proficient in the force. I feel like he will choose Din and maybe the two will receive training together from Luke. I also heard from Pedro Pascal that there will be a time jump into Season 3 of Mando so anything could really happen.

The biggest clue grogu will pick the armor because his journey with mando beskar is safe but lightsaber failed those kids in the flashback.
The choose option is a test for grogu, Luke left before his training was complete to go help his friends. I think Grogu will go back to the Mandalorian, then go back into training since he lives so long. Grogu is what made Mandalorian they can’t have it without him IMO.
He did not make the show and they absolutely can have it without him lmfao. What was the point of their incredible and emotional goodbye if they're going to almost immediately be together again? There is so much they can do with Mando, and Grogu absolutely does not need to be there
This episode made me cry twice out of pure happiness I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Because of how long he lives, there is a third option: be coming a Jedi later.
To put Cad Bane into perspective, he's the dude who hunted Jedi during the Clone Wars. He was a mentor to Boba Fett during his transformative days. He's the dude who Count Dooku basically trusted to do even the most dangerous and secretive shit, and he was never killed, as you can tell.
Cad Bane held the entire Republic senate hostage at one point, while on their homeworld, surrounded by the clone army and all the jedi, and he got out alive and safe. lmao Dude considers hunting Jedi Knights for their bounties as a boring side-gig.

i didnt think wed see grogu either...i've never been so happy to be wrong! boba fett seems to have been kicked out of his own show and im cool with that cause this was so freakin mind blowing! but the last episode better not be 45 minutes long...they need an hour and a half ending
You’re not looking at the bigger picture! Fett is set to become The Godfather of the new house he plans to build! He will be around for a long time and influential with all the other series coming forward… This and other series would be more based on the Star Wars lore as a whole. People need to change their direct, linear way of thinking as we also have the MCU who also cross over the story arcs!

I think he has to pick the mandalorian armor, because in The Last Jedi Luke said that Ben Solo was his first student, so if now Grogu becomes his first student it'll break some continuity. And yeah, it might be a small detail but Dave Filoni is too meticulous with continuity in Star Wars to miss something like that.

The first 20 min of this episode made me cry hard like Nikki did on the Train to Busan ending. I was not emotionally ready.
We are gonna hear Grogu's first words, and he's gonna say "Both" to Luke's question.
He’s going back! Three Jedi people died in front of him. He feels better protective with Din Djarin.
I like how everybody is surprised by this choice that Luke is presenting him as if it's something new this is something that the Jedi have been doing for centuries
about grogu's flashback to order 66: the person holding grogu is wearing robes, doesn't have their lightsaber on despite jedi being shot and killed, and the 501st troops aren't even trying to fire at them. its anakin. anakin saved baby yoda from order 66 and palpatine. anakin was never fully evil like palpatine was, anakin only went dark cause he was tricked into thinking it would save palpatine, luke, and leia from dying in childbirth.
Grogu riding Luke " Like a Bantha". Also eating all the frogs from so many worlds. The lowest desert frogs to the most sentient got Grogu all Hoppy.

I'm hoping that Ahsoka's line that "sometimes the student guides the master" is a Chekhov's Gun, and Luke learns that Grogu's attachment to Mando makes him stronger. Cuz Jedi denying attachments is how we got Anakin, and Dave Filoni is clever enough to know that.

The star wars movies need to be made by the same people who make the star wars shows because they have captured the magic of the original trilogy perfectly and watching makes me feel like a kid again! Simply amazing and it fills my heart with pure joy watching these characters come truly alive on my screen. Love it sooo much! Lol

the blue dude is cab bane from the clone wars and bad batch series. he basically was boba fetts boss and the best bounty hunter until he lost the title in a quick draw against boba fett. so yeah they have history.
Can't believe Luke is making Grogu choose between Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang.
If this ends up going like Cobra Kai, Grogu might end up finding a way to balance both.
Just wanted to say I'm not surprised you got highlighted by Bryce Dallas Howard. You guys are the perfect mix of nerdyness, casual fan, family and excitement without getting TOO nerdy and niche... I think you are the reactor couple most audiences that are not super young can best identify with. You have passionate and emotional reactions without over the top overacting stuff, Nikki brings in the casual enjoyment and Steven the more hardcore fan without being a walking encyclopedia, you bring the parent vibes into it... if I were to recommend a reaction channel to any general audience member... you guys would be it.

i like how Ashoka refer Luke as Master when she had more and superior training compare with Luke.
Just throwing this out there - the Rise of Kylo Ren comics show us beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ben _did not_ burn down the temple. The other Knights of Ren did. There's a frame that even makes it explicit: "No, I didn't want this! I never wanted this!" He does eventually join the Knights after confronting their leader, Ren, but Ben gets a lot of flak for things he _didn't do,_ just how he constantly gets blamed for The Hosnian Incident when that was _all_ Hux.

The correct choice is the chain mail. Remember, Luke understands that the Jedi order was wrong about love. Love is what they were missing and it's why they fell. Ironic that the chainmail guards the heart, but it also represents Grogu's future. The lightsaber is the weapon of a Jedi, but it represents his past. This is a test of whether or not Grogu is balanced.
On the other front, the plot just thickened like a homemade gravy. With Cad showing up, the season finale just got a lot more epic.
I thought for sure that Jin was going to learn to use the light saber from Luke, but now I'm getting the feeling he'll be learning from Ahsoka instead. With her series coming up we're going to get lots of crossover episodes between Mando, Boba and her.

Been looking forward to this and you didnt disappoint , amazing how animals can sense emotions and will react to comfort . I am from the camp that Grogu picks the chain mail or the show is over , Mando didnt coverup the astromech port with a clear dome to let the sunshine in . Grogu will be sitting there at some point wearing the vest . If Tarre Vizsla can be both so can Grogu . Or i could be completely wrong , although i dont think i am , and that is what makes this show or shows so exciting
Ahsoka's "head tentacles" are called Lekku. Twi'leks also have them. Ahsoka's race is called a Togruta.
Ahsoka knowing both of Luke's parents really made it really hit when she says "Friend of the family"
Cad's duel with Boba was in a non published scene that was supposed to be in either season 7 or 8 of Clone Wars. In the Duel Boba kills Cad (it looked like) and Cad gave him the dent in his helmet. But of course never completed and not Canon
I dont look at this show as it's own thing. I see it as a world building side chapter of the Mandolorian. Introducing characters and conflicts that can pay off I different shows without wasting time giving thier backstory, watch all the shows.

Dave: Yes.
It was cute to have Luke tell Grogu about Yoda. Since it's been confirmed by the later scene that Grogu was a Youngling in the Jedi Temple just before the Purge, the chances that he doesn't already know Yoda are slim and none and slim is far in the rear.
This ep is setting up Luke's eventual fall. I thought it was brilliant. He's the last jedi, trying to keep his religion from exctinction. But he's repeating the mistakes of the past. It's thrilling and sad to watch it happening. Grogu is escaping. Ben won't.
By using the world between worlds to save Ashoka from Vader, thus she's alive. She met Din and sent him to Tython. Which allowed Grogu to contact Luke and be save from the impire/first order, changing the cloning of Palpatine and giving the possibility that Luke gets a student before Ben Solo. The timeline to the sequels is already changed.
Is amazing how awesome a character is... that everyone recognizes him even if it's first apparition and main focus was in the Clone Wars series.
