Please don't keep talking about what happens in the new trilogy. Favreau and Filoni could make the new trilogy not canon, let's keep watching it further and see where Luke's academy is heading. I know many people who doesn't want the new trilogy not being canon. Who knows the show might not even advance that far ahead to what happens with the new trilogy. We could also see Luke's potential love interest with Mara Jade if Filoni and Favreau decides to include her in future shows. Remember Filoni included Grand Admiral Thrawn as Canon, he originated from books written by Timothy Zahn.
only way I can think Grogu got out of the temple alive is he hid from troops and Vader and was found by Yoda and Kenobi when they returned into the temple.

Grogu is definitely going to choose the Mandolorian. It gives Luke an excuse to go back to Tattoonine to deliver Grogu. Grogu would rather be with his friend/dad than be a Jedi. He’s already been semi trained anyways. Luke said it himself, he’s remembering more than actually receiving training. Plus, a lifetime for the Mandolorian is only a few years for Grogu, so might as well spend that time with Mando and figure out the whole Jedi thing as you go. It also leaves it open an arc for Mando to take Grogu to Mandolore, and also the potential that Grogu will inherit the Dark Saber from Mando eventually.

33:57 Ahsoka is a Togruta. The "hair" is actually movement sensors called the Montrals. I'm eager to see Round 2.
Nikki, Steven, i mentioned this before on another YT that chapter 5 was an "Interlude" it said it at the top of the main title, most books have Interludes the story goes off the main character and focuses on another equally important character/s it could be multiple chapters as well. Love your reactions!😃👍🏼
Cad freaking Bane wow he looks so awesome in live action, of course Corey Burton brings the character to life with his iconic voice but honestly the physical actor (who I assume is most likely a stunt double) was surprisingly very accurate and faithful to how he was animated in both Clone Wars and Bad Batch, the actor both had to wear a bunch of layered clothing AND extensive prosthetics but was able to bring across just how ruthless and imposing Bane can be, the combination of that with Burton’s voice fully brings Cad to life and imo it worked practically perfectly
You also have to remember that since Grogu ages so slowly, it will take forever in Din’s lifetime to become proficient in the force. I feel like he will choose Din and maybe the two will receive training together from Luke. I also heard from Pedro Pascal that there will be a time jump into Season 3 of Mando so anything could really happen.
Mandolorian & Book of Boba Fett are essentially 1 show with different chapters, they are basically the same story sharing the same stage within Star Wars. Mando had an Ahsoka/Bobba episodes. Both these series have been incredible tbh, it's incredible we are getting live action of these characters.
“I’m an old friend of the family” After this episode, after Bryce’s post….aren’t we all friends and family? Standing and pacing FWIW, I think Nikki would LOOOOVE clone wars and rebels
The ending was SOOO Lone Wolf and Cub. Where the Samurai father lays down the option for his baby son. "Choose the ball my son, and I will send you to heaven to be with your mother. Choose my katana, and you will join me forever on the road to hell as we take our vengeance on those who wrong us." (paraphrasing) But you can guess which one the baby chose.
I think it's safe to say Luke told her he brought Anakin back to the light. She's happier when thinking about him now unlike in Rebels and the Mandalorian. Also, with Cad Bane, Boba has a personal reason to fight the Pykes now, not just over territory.
That's exactly how we, out here in your audience, feel when you ❤ one of our comments! (Let _alone_ leave a response!) "You saw me! You saw me!" lol "They actually read what I wrote!" 🤣👍
I loved the episode but I honestly had to laugh at the ridiculous choice Luke gives Grogu at the end because he was almost like, "Yeah, you can only choose Mando's sick-ass beskar chain mail OR my old master's awesome lightsaber. You can't have both because to be a Jedi is to forego ALL attachments to the people you love and if you don't choose the lightsaber I'm kicking you out of my school. Welp, I'll gonna go hang out with my sister and my bro-in-law and tell them all about how we just spent some time with my dad's old Padawan/BFF. You can let me know which one you'd prefer to have when I get back. No pressure, though!" I honestly hope he's just being a troll like Yoda was to him when they first met and he's trying to check how Grogu really feels about becoming a Jedi at this point, and he's gonna let him keep both regardless of what he chooses.
My thoughs exactly. I really hope that Luke is being a little shit trolling Grogu to judge his reaction instead of making him do something like that when he's constantly attached to people and situations.
I loved watching you guys react. I've been watching so many today because this is what make us fans happy. Dave is one of us. I saw A New Hope in 1977 as an eight year old, so to see Luke here, in his prime... 😭. Subscribed.
This episode was just a rollercoaster of emotions, Grogu, young Luke standing side by side with live action Ashoka, live action CAD FUCKING BANE. Disney doing excellent world building for universes and giving Star Wars fans treats
Ahsoka's head-tails are called "lekku", Cob Vanth was hit in the shoulder, he's still alive I predict Grogu will choose the Beskar, but he may continue to practice in using the Force....
Im still procesing what the hell happened and was thrown on us , and i LOVED it so much ... best part for me was seeing Ashoka and Luke... thay most definitly met before and talked about Ani ... one day im hoping we will see the part when Luke tells her at the end he reedemed himself and came back to the light and want to see Ashokas reaction on that ... loved this episode to bits , masterpiece
The choose option is a test for grogu, Luke left before his training was complete to go help his friends. I think Grogu will go back to the Mandalorian, then go back into training since he lives so long. Grogu is what made Mandalorian they can’t have it without him IMO.
He did not make the show and they absolutely can have it without him lmfao. What was the point of their incredible and emotional goodbye if they're going to almost immediately be together again? There is so much they can do with Mando, and Grogu absolutely does not need to be there
@@neillasto7424 I mean, you could be mature enough to understand directors will make movies or shows you don't like, and they're still a good director. You not liking The Last Jedi doesn't define Rians career
Why are so many people confusing the responsibilities of a director and a screenwriter? Rian Johnson directed BB Ozymandias but he didn't write it! Moira Walley Beckett did! That's why the episode was great. BTW I think that JJ Abrams is a great director but a terrible screenwriter.
25:09 If you watch it in slow motion, clearly Cad shot Cobb in the shoulder, just to stop him from shooting... he didn't kill him: and that was on purpose.

In your typical western scene, a man approaching from the desert in a cowboy hat is incredibly vague and could mean anybody. In a Star Wars western scene, that means one feckin’ person.
Great reaction! I loved this episode, especially having Ahsoka and Luke in a scene together just couldn't believe it!! As far as Grogu goes I see him choosing the Mando path and since he does he will wield the Dark Saber!
I'm hoping that Ahsoka's line that "sometimes the student guides the master" is a Chekhov's Gun, and Luke learns that Grogu's attachment to Mando makes him stronger. Cuz Jedi denying attachments is how we got Anakin, and Dave Filoni is clever enough to know that.
Grogu is going to end up with mando somehow. Mandos ship has that second seat pod perfect for Grogu. It doesn’t look like a typical droid pod as they usually aren’t seen covered by glass.
Awe. I was already teary eyed rewatching the episode with your reaction, and Ubbe made me truly start crying when he joined in. He is so sweet. My poor kitty is sick atm, and I'm hoping this second antibiotic does the trick for him. 😭😺 much love to Ubbe!
I’m logging my prediction for the finale: Grogu chose the lightsaber. But during his training he has a vision that Mando is going to die. Same as Luke went through in ESB. Luke will take him to save Mando. Grogu will get shot but they’ll reveal he has the beskar on like Frodo. Luke let him have both.
about grogu's flashback to order 66: the person holding grogu is wearing robes, doesn't have their lightsaber on despite jedi being shot and killed, and the 501st troops aren't even trying to fire at them. its anakin. anakin saved baby yoda from order 66 and palpatine. anakin was never fully evil like palpatine was, anakin only went dark cause he was tricked into thinking it would save palpatine, luke, and leia from dying in childbirth.
I like how everybody is surprised by this choice that Luke is presenting him as if it's something new this is something that the Jedi have been doing for centuries
I don't think that Cobb Vanth is dead, because he was shot in the shoulder, unlike his deputy, Deputy Scott (his name was in the end credits 🤔), who was shot all over the place by _Cad Bane_ 😰😱!
i didnt think wed see grogu either...i've never been so happy to be wrong! boba fett seems to have been kicked out of his own show and im cool with that cause this was so freakin mind blowing! but the last episode better not be 45 minutes long...they need an hour and a half ending
You’re not looking at the bigger picture! Fett is set to become The Godfather of the new house he plans to build! He will be around for a long time and influential with all the other series coming forward… This and other series would be more based on the Star Wars lore as a whole. People need to change their direct, linear way of thinking as we also have the MCU who also cross over the story arcs!
Seeing live action Cad Bane had me just as excited as the first time I saw Grogu. The stand-off scene was perfect for him and they even used the original voice actor, Corey Burton! Absolutely amazing, I can't wait to see more of Cad Bane in Mandalorian season 3!
It is awesome to see the simultaneous reactions of someone who recognizes Cad Bane and someone who doesn't. It shows how well they did the ominous atmosphere of that scene that you both knew Cobb Vanth was screwed.
Great reaction, Nikki Steven! Mind blown at that "stranger in the desert", he shot the sheriff & the deputy. The head tails of Ahsoka is called lekkus, the horn is called montrals. Chainmail or lightsaber? ;)
Just wanted to say I'm not surprised you got highlighted by Bryce Dallas Howard. You guys are the perfect mix of nerdyness, casual fan, family and excitement without getting TOO nerdy and niche... I think you are the reactor couple most audiences that are not super young can best identify with. You have passionate and emotional reactions without over the top overacting stuff, Nikki brings in the casual enjoyment and Steven the more hardcore fan without being a walking encyclopedia, you bring the parent vibes into it... if I were to recommend a reaction channel to any general audience member... you guys would be it.
I think he has to pick the mandalorian armor, because in The Last Jedi Luke said that Ben Solo was his first student, so if now Grogu becomes his first student it'll break some continuity. And yeah, it might be a small detail but Dave Filoni is too meticulous with continuity in Star Wars to miss something like that.
This seems to following the Daredevil - Jessica Jones - Luke Cage - The Defenders arc of combined/crossover storylines. [edit] + Justified with Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Cobb Vanth)
I love these shows so damn much! The star wars movies need to be made by the same people who make the star wars shows because they have captured the magic of the original trilogy perfectly and watching makes me feel like a kid again! Simply amazing and it fills my heart with pure joy watching these characters come truly alive on my screen. Love it sooo much! Lol
I was waiting for this reaction. The correct choice is the chain mail. Remember, Luke understands that the Jedi order was wrong about love. Love is what they were missing and it's why they fell. Ironic that the chainmail guards the heart, but it also represents Grogu's future. The lightsaber is the weapon of a Jedi, but it represents his past. This is a test of whether or not Grogu is balanced. On the other front, the plot just thickened like a homemade gravy. With Cad showing up, the season finale just got a lot more epic. I thought for sure that Jin was going to learn to use the light saber from Luke, but now I'm getting the feeling he'll be learning from Ahsoka instead. With her series coming up we're going to get lots of crossover episodes between Mando, Boba and her. This is a great time to be a Star Wars junkie.
Last year Pedro Pascal describe Book of Boba Fett as "Mandalorian season 2.5" and that's exactly what's happening. Absolutely loved this episode (!!!) and yes we can just call this series "Star Wars".
WoW! Just WoW! Congrats for the much deserved recognition by Ms Howard, she has fast become one of my top ten Directors. I'd love for her to direct and appear in an episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds being a family member was on TOS besides the Willow series and of course films

Bryce Dallas Howard is a brilliant bloody director! Been so impressed with all her episodes thus far
She learned alot from her father.
Nikki, Steven, i mentioned this before on another YT that chapter 5 was an "Interlude" it said it at the top of the main title, most books have Interludes the story goes off the main character and focuses on another equally important character/s it could be multiple chapters as well. Love your reactions!😃👍🏼
Yeah. This type of story telling is completely normal in Fantasy and Sci-Fi novels.
Just one more chapter in the MandoVerse
“I’m an old friend of the family”
After this episode, after Bryce’s post….aren’t we all friends and family?
Standing and pacing
FWIW, I think Nikki would LOOOOVE clone wars and rebels
What post?
The ending was SOOO Lone Wolf and Cub. Where the Samurai father lays down the option for his baby son. "Choose the ball my son, and I will send you to heaven to be with your mother. Choose my katana, and you will join me forever on the road to hell as we take our vengeance on those who wrong us." (paraphrasing) But you can guess which one the baby chose.
This ep had everything a Star Wars fan would want
Luke, Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane, Mandalorian, Black Krrsantan, Grogu, Order 66, Naboo Starfighter, Pykes, Jedi training, Yoda's lightsaber, Fennec and a surprise cameo from Boba Fett.
@@nihilist1680 Clone wars, Prequels, and Originals, all in one episode.
Agreed! An episode for all ages and eras.
@@nihilist1680
It is actually criminal that you didn’t even mention Cad Bane in your summary.
All the more reason some stuffy "fans" were complaining about it, just as I expected they would.
(Let _alone_ leave a response!)
"You saw me!
I believe Luke to be 100% serious. And I am ok with that.
I'm pretty sure they are hinting that someday Grogu would grow up to be the next Mandalorian Jedi..
I loved watching you guys react. I've been watching so many today because this is what make us fans happy. Dave is one of us. I saw A New Hope in 1977 as an eight year old, so to see Luke here, in his prime... 😭. Subscribed.
Me too. Saw Star Wars in New York. 16 years old.
We were the lucky generation to see it originally in the theater! Those flying letters...😘
This episode was just a rollercoaster of emotions, Grogu, young Luke standing side by side with live action Ashoka, live action CAD FUCKING BANE. Disney doing excellent world building for universes and giving Star Wars fans treats
Ahsoka's head-tails are called "lekku",
Cob Vanth was hit in the shoulder, he's still alive
I predict Grogu will choose the Beskar, but he may continue to practice in using the Force....
There is so much they can do with Mando, and Grogu absolutely does not need to be there
Honestly the most jaw dropping episode of a TV show since Ozymadias in Breaking Bad. I couldn't breathe watching both. This is Star Wars 😊
Then let me recommend "Fringe" series. The most underrated show of all time.
Considering the same person who directed that episode also did TLJ.......god help us.
@@JnEricsonx I know. How can someone get something so right and something so wrong?
I really enjoyed the Boba Fett cameo this episode.
You think that;s funny? I don't. Temuera Morrison has just been screwed over by Lucasfilim. This is pathetic and lame . . . and all in the name of fan service.
@@juanitajones6900 not really, he just signed a deal with disney for multiple medias (idk if thats the right wording, basically he will appear in more disney stuff) so he will probably be cast as some clones (i know he is basically every clone but maybe we will see some take their helmets off in one of the series that are coming)
@@juanitajones6900 Screwed over? Not at all. He most likely read the script before he said no or yes. And he could have said no.
I literally guffawed at this. Well done. LOL!
Yeah. The show is at its best without Boba Fett in it.
In your typical western scene, a man approaching from the desert in a cowboy hat is incredibly vague and could mean anybody.
In a Star Wars western scene, that means one feckin’ person.
So cool
Great reaction! I loved this episode, especially having Ahsoka and Luke in a scene together just couldn't believe it!!
As far as Grogu goes I see him choosing the Mando path and since he does he will wield the Dark Saber!
I'm hoping that Ahsoka's line that "sometimes the student guides the master" is a Chekhov's Gun, and Luke learns that Grogu's attachment to Mando makes him stronger. Cuz Jedi denying attachments is how we got Anakin, and Dave Filoni is clever enough to know that.
This episode made me cry twice out of pure happiness I couldn't have asked for anything better.
The first 20 min of this episode made me cry hard like Nikki did on the Train to Busan ending. I was not emotionally ready.
Small fact lucasfilm hired a youtuber called shamook too fix luke’s deepfake, he absolutely did an amazing job 👏👏
about grogu's flashback to order 66: the person holding grogu is wearing robes, doesn't have their lightsaber on despite jedi being shot and killed, and the 501st troops aren't even trying to fire at them. its anakin. anakin saved baby yoda from order 66 and palpatine. anakin was never fully evil like palpatine was, anakin only went dark cause he was tricked into thinking it would save palpatine, luke, and leia from dying in childbirth.
Filoni has single handedly saved the entire franchise
I like how everybody is surprised by this choice that Luke is presenting him as if it's something new this is something that the Jedi have been doing for centuries
1st time viewer, imma look at everything you've done, ya chemistry is shamazing ,thank you both
I don't think that Cobb Vanth is dead, because he was shot in the shoulder, unlike his deputy, Deputy Scott (his name was in the end credits 🤔), who was shot all over the place by _Cad Bane_ 😰😱!
agreed. As a huge Timothy Olyphant fan, I hope this is true!!!!
Deputy redshirt
@@tomasjallen literally... REDshirt. :)
Steve: "Watch out, Grogu. Its gonna zap you."
Nikki: "Don't you dare zap the baby. (pause) Oh, you zapped the baby!" [18:40-18:49]
i didnt think wed see grogu either...i've never been so happy to be wrong! boba fett seems to have been kicked out of his own show and im cool with that cause this was so freakin mind blowing! but the last episode better not be 45 minutes long...they need an hour and a half ending
@@shykur I completely agree with you
Seeing live action Cad Bane had me just as excited as the first time I saw Grogu. The stand-off scene was perfect for him and they even used the original voice actor, Corey Burton! Absolutely amazing, I can't wait to see more of Cad Bane in Mandalorian season 3!
I just realised how awesome it is to see Ahsoka and R2 together after all this time..
The cat was watching when Grogu was jumping.
They really made Cad Bane look recognizable but also with a Clint Eastwood squint.
This is what SW is supposed to be ! This episode feels 100% like a true SW thing !! Loved your reaction on this one !
Cats always know when you need a cuddle!
Grogu riding Luke " Like a Bantha". Also eating all the frogs from so many worlds. The lowest desert frogs to the most sentient got Grogu all Hoppy.
It is awesome to see the simultaneous reactions of someone who recognizes Cad Bane and someone who doesn't. It shows how well they did the ominous atmosphere of that scene that you both knew Cobb Vanth was screwed.
So cool that BDH acknowledged your guys' awesomeness!
Great reaction, Nikki Steven! Mind blown at that "stranger in the desert", he shot the sheriff & the deputy. The head tails of Ahsoka is called lekkus, the horn is called montrals. Chainmail or lightsaber? ;)
Grogu: “I’m just a spoiled, 50-year-old kid. I’M TAKING BOTH! So Luke, are you coming with me or not?
I think Grogu was saved by being sequestered INSIDE of R2.
@@nicksmith2010 Hehehe, yeah! ;)
@@nicksmith2010 Hmmm, that's a good theory. We shall see...
_- "Is he building a bench right now?"_
_- "Is that a bench?"_
Hahaha 😂
Lol
That was such an outrageous episode!!! So many things to process... Got me speechless for hours
The biggest clue grogu will pick the armor because his journey with mando beskar is safe but lightsaber failed those kids in the flashback.
Hats off to Corridor Digital f9r doing the CGI on Luke. Absolutely incredible.
I HAD to come see the reactions here.... you guys rock!!
I absolutely loved this episode, love your comments and reactions, and I adore your Kitty. What a loving and sweet 😸...❤
Last year Pedro Pascal describe Book of Boba Fett as "Mandalorian season 2.5" and that's exactly what's happening.
Absolutely loved this episode (!!!) and yes we can just call this series "Star Wars".
Because of how long he lives, there is a third option: be coming a Jedi later.
Ahsoka's "head tentacles" are called Lekku. Twi'leks also have them. Ahsoka's race is called a Togruta.
WoW! Just WoW! Congrats for the much deserved recognition by Ms Howard, she has fast become one of my top ten Directors. I'd love for her to direct and appear in an episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds being a family member was on TOS besides the Willow series and of course films
Wanted until late to see this episode, so good!
I was so excited for Nikki ! I just knew she was gonna love this episode ^p^ and omg your guys’ cat is so cute ,
