These cutscenes were the best part of Xenoverse 1's story, because it really made it feel like there was a real threat, and like what the player was doing is necessary. It made you care. Xenoverse 2 really dropped the ball by not having anything like this.
The Goku black saga was Kinda like this tho. It was pretty disturbing seeing Trunks desparately trying to Active the time machine while it its just stuck mid air leaving him Wide open for Goku black to launch a kamehameha.

I think the reason they added Mr. Satan was the show us that Mr. Satan never tossed 16's head towards Gohan. That is why without 16's push, Gohan would have never turned SSJ2.

It's just because with Goku incapacitated at the moment and Frieza's sudden boost of power thanks to Demigras magic, Frieza defeated, if not, killed Krillin and Vegeta. Gohan was afraid and tried to do something but no avail. Goku finally couldn't waste anymore time for himself to heal, wanting to save the other's but managed to save Gohan barely. And the critical part was when Goku was going to fight Frieza.. He was not fully healed, He was distressed that his friends and son were brutally injured, and the fact that he just wasn't strong enough to fight Frieza... And he couldn't turn Super Sayain. Me knowing that full circle and coupled with the music made me shed a few tears and shudder.

It wasn't demigra, it was towa and Mira at the time, demigra was regularly introduced in the cell saga. And he started alternating history himself (it towa and mira) after the Cell saga. Just wanted to correct you on that one.

A concept quite similar was used some years ago in DC Comic's 'The Kingdom' storyline...a villain was taking a proverbial sledgehammer to space/time by murdering Superman, then going back in time 24 hours and doing it again, going back another day and doing it -again-, rinse and repeat....
Maybe? It's more important for them to show everything you'll face in that segment than to make perfect sense, after all Cell was at a different place and time in the future trunks segment but he still showed up

These cutscenes illustrate my biggest problem with Xenoverse 2: it’s just not as creative as the first game, I mean, the best you could come up with was Cell absorbs 17 and 18 together instead of separately?
These are sad to watch .. If future trunks witness Gohan dying again he would have went crazy as well as goku and piccolo , but he was so young ... Goku would have probably killed himself or something and trunks would have went through some sad stage of PTSD ... And in the namek saga as well , Goku was barely healed but Gohan would have died if he never got there in time ...

Am I the only only only person who feels that the multiple Majin Buu's was the laziest of the bad alterations? I mean, the creators could've been more creative and gave us a scenario of multiple Majin Buu's. Each one taking the form of a different absorbed Supreme Kai.
Absorbing Supreme Kai's does not mix well with Buu. I would have preferred if Buu just pushed Goku to use more of his full power and his time ran out, never having the time to teach the kids how to do Fusion dance.
The one where Goku leaves the tank early to save Gohan could be salvageable if the Time Patroller gave him a Senzu Bean. Unless, everyone else lying on the ground is actually dead. Can't salvage that.
No it's pretty much over. Goku can't win that fight without Super Saiyan OR someone to distract Frieza so he can make a powerful enough spirit bomb. I find it kind of odd that Goku didn't turn Super Saiyan there when finding Krillin and Piccolo dead when that's what triggered it in the show.
You forgot the one with super Buu vs Gohan and then he Destroys earth, and demigra controlling piccolo and defeating goten and trunks at kami's lookout.

On the Beerus one, by curving the ball, they kinda corrected history already. Vegeta never stops the pudding argument in the movie or the series. So technically, there was no history change. Even if Beerus did get his pudding, it would've just saved everyone an ass whooping.

It's where he first tries. But the twist is after the Androids beat Trunks, Cell shows up in the background watching the Androids beat Trunks and I'm assuming he absorbs them shortly after.
There are two problems, one in which of course, cell is ready to absorb 17 and 18. but the main problem is that 17 kills trunks, and that is the original timeline of trunks xeno who at that moment began to disappear from existence for a few moments

Its not audio sync problems its the fact that their mouths move based on japanese dub, for english the lip sync is horrible...
