The video only shows how a basic/simple soap is made. Instead of using water, I use Aloe Vera gel. All other ingredients you may like can be added to the recipe. The soap will be ready to be used after 3 to 4 weeks of curing. For those asking the quantity of ingredients used, here it is:
76g - Sodium Hydroxide
185g - Aloe Vera gel
450g - deodorized coconut oil
Thank you very much for watching.
How do i measurize the aloe vera and is it ok if i remove the latex or yellow stain they so called???
@@poke6983 When you cut the aloe vera leaf, the latex will just drip on its own and when you prepare and wash the gel, the remaining latex will just go off with the water. You can measure the iced aloe vera gel by weighing.
@@TheAloeVeraGarden THANK YOU! I was waiting for your response because i have the ingredients i will over see the result in 3-4 weeks😀🖒🖒🖒🖒
Can I change coconut oil with palm oil?
@@mermerrmfans8153 no...not unless you recalculate the recipe for palm oil - using a soap calculator
So I made this soap 1 week ago. It was my first soap ever. This was the best and easiest recipe I found. I just added a little lavender sent, purple mica colorant, and dried lavender leaves on top. It looks beautiful! I can’t wait to use it. Love your videos! I’ve subscribed! Thank you so much for sharing!
Wonderful! I am glad you did.
Is it moisturizing?
You read my mind about adding lavender eo and micas, but I was imagining myself being bashed for doing such a thing. Lol 🤭🤗🙃
How well does it lather up?
Does it has a foam?
So I made this soap on June 12th. It turned out wonderful for my first time making cold process. I scented mine with mango/papaya. The scent has faded so I need to work on that but it lathered so beautifully. Love all the bubbles and now I can't stop making soap. Thank you for this tutorial and recipe!
Wonderful! Just wait a little longer, usually the scent will emerge as the soap gets older.
Oh ok, thank you so much!
How long did you cure it before using & must it be cured?
Everything is nice but look how beautifully u have scooped out the whole bar of gel from the leaf 🥺🥺 it proves u r aloe master. I'm impressed. When I try to scoop gel my whole counter top gets messy plus the leaf breaks in between 😭
Lol 😂😂 has to laugh because this was me two days ago and then I figured it out 😭😭
Use a spoon gently but firmly
Let up on pressure.. I've done what you've done. I slowed down....vol la.. came right out... no leaf
I've also put my aloe. In food processor to liquefy it...slow up.. see what happens
Thank you very much. I am going to give this a try. I get lot of problems with store soaps now I can make my own.
One of the best simpler videos os aloe vera soap I have seen. I am gonna do this tonight with my 8 years old. It's gonna be our first soap recipe. Thank you!
I loved how you explain the reason behind everything that you did. A very helpful video, thanks!
Very interesting to see how you get the gel out, I never realised that I always tried squeezing it, no wonder I gave up. Thanks
Thank you for coming up with a channel covering all aspect of this beautiful plant from growing to its usefulness. I am so glad to find you virtually and looking forward to videos of soap and cream making. God bless
So nice of you. Thank you very much.
This is absolutely wonderful. I am profoundly grateful to you for sharing your knowledge. Especially do I appreciate your video style-the captions, the music, the follow through (showing your methods work) brilliant truly! AGAIN thank you so much for sharing the beautifulness and usefulness you’ve found in this wonderful plant.
ive been studying online for past week and thought of so many different scents and combos, and what kind of molds ill get and equipment. but honestly i like simplicity and saving money. Im going to do this same recipe but a larger batch and with a stick blender. thank you!
Using stick blender will make soaping faster and easier. :)
Which variety of aloe Vera did you use, otherwise we have wild variety in Uganda and if it can be used am blessed. Robert Oyirwoth from Uganda, thanks a lot because you made me known a new thing.
For soaping, you can use any variety.
Scraping that aloe looks so satisfying!
I love your aloe vera garden 😍. Aloe is my favourite plant. Am also growing them here in Zambia. I will be starting my soap business soon. Thanks for sharing
Thank you 🙏❤️ i looked many recipes but i realised your recipe is so healthy even you dont use any metal as blender☺️ i love aloe vera and it is holly plant 🙏 full of life energy of water , i want to use it in my laundry and dishes as well. Do you think can be? And do you have any liquid soap recipe? Thank you so much again
I really love this idea as I've been looking for an aloe recipe and this is simple and cost effective. However how does this pan out in the long run for those in the areas where the temperatures drop below 70 I would think that the coconut oil will harden and clog drains. What is the next best oil? can I use jojoba oil? thanks
You can use any oil you like. Just check its saponification value to know how much sodium hydroxide to use. Also, there is no more oil in the soap after it saponified.
You really inspired me today! Thank you! Love the simplicity!
You are so welcome! Thank you also for the support. :)
Thanks a lot! I was thinking of making aloe vera soap for my project but I didn't know how to make it. Your a life saver!
Glad I could help!
Hi my friend. 3 days ago I made this soap and I used it on 4th day. It was perfect thank you so much.
Wonderful! But you should have waited to at least 2 weeks before using them and much better if you can wait for 1 month.
how was foam ?
@@flamming_arrow it has a lot of foam.
@@gaianeg7927 OK good so I expect that Sodium Hydrooxide creates that foam. Thanks for conifrming
@@flamming_arrow Sodium Hydroxide, (commonly known as Lye), is the substance which changes the oil into soap. Foam/lather comes from the oils used and in which combination.
Thank you so much for your time. Can I use a mixer
I love the simplicity of your recipe , Thank you!
Awesome video I have a aloe Vera plant that has lil baby plant beside it soon don't know were to put cause they big
This looks like really nice soap. Im a beginner and felt really overwhelmed but I think I can pull this off. Thanks
You can do it!
Hi! Thankz for sharing your awesome skill very much like it🙏👏please can I use any kind of aloe....I have the fish aloe plant....is that work? thankz again for the great video I love and subscribe it, too
I read all the comments and learned much about soap-making here, therefore I have no question...I have also subscribed. Thank you for this upload.
Talk about simple. I love this recipe. Hopefully people understand how dangerous sodium hydroxide is.
I did it last night. Was perfect n now waiting for 30 days to use it. I can’t wait!!! Thanks for sharing 👍🙏🏽
Wonderful!
Did it give lather.ive tried but, while mixing it with gel ive taken it and tried to wash the hands.but it burns and doesnt give lather
@@equinox6812 You can't use it right away, it will burn your skin. You have to wait 3 to 4 weeks to complete the saponification process.
What are the quantities for each ingredient?pls tell me

I'd say is gorgeous and soft. I use the African black soap Dudu Osun, but I'm fascinated by hand made soaps whenever I see those shops. I make my own creams from coconut oil, shea butter and aloe vera gel (from a bottle, I live in Ireland, we don't have aloe vera plants growing wild)
Hi thanks for the instructions on making aloe vera soap, I have a huge aloe plant, and was wondering what to do with it. I know from a very young age that its used for washing here, told to me by my Caribbean parents. I also wanted to use it for other things, thanks again for the instructions on soap making.
Sorry washing hair
I love this. I am planning to move from melt and pour soap to cold process and i love the simplicity of this recipe. I can't wait to try it. Ordering my sodium hydroxide right now! :-) Thank you so much for sharing!
That's what I have always done, melt and pour. This has helped me to move on and make it myself. About to try it this evening! Good luck with yours!
What is the amount
Please, thank you very much. I appreciate your video. God bless you. I want to ask if we would have to heat the oil, first
If you live in colder country, most likely, your coconut oil is like soft butter. You going to have it melted first.
Okay, thank you
This is hands down the best soap making tutorial ever. It looks so easy that i might even try it! The other videos with the fancy gadgets looks very intimidating.
Wow, thank you!

Love this video .I'm so gonna try .It looks easy and manageable to do as a new beginners.
Wow! Seems so easy and simple!? Gonna try that for certain.. can add coloring and perfumed oil.. looks really nice and creamy .. tomorrow im making toffee apples and this weekend in making my own soap 😀💃👌

Will my soap turn out that white if I use olive oil? And which kind do you recommend to get the whiter color? Thank you! Loved the video. Will probably binge watch all your videos tonight because I’m planning on growing an aloe Vera garden!
Only coconut oil will give you a white soap bar. If you use other oil, it will not be as white as coconut oil.
Removing the gel is very satisfying
I got the feeling too the first time :)
@@TheAloeVeraGarden yeahh it's really soothing ❣️
Please wear eye protection and gloves when making soap! Sodium hydroxide is caustic and can cause severe burns, even blindness if it gets into your eye. Also, wooden spoons are not recommended since the lye will cause the wood to splinter, adding wood splinters into your soap. Best to use silicone or stainless mixing utensils - no other metals are safe with lye.
I wondered about that.... Shouldn't it be mixed separately then combined with your other ingredients
@@elljace1491 actually lye will bind to fats
Although I'm pretty sure you knew that already
Great tips...! Thanks you
Thanks
Since Aloe is frozen, it wont increase the temperature, hence no fumes emit( my assumption) might be the reason of not wearing googles and mask
I made and used the soap. Really wonderful. Hope to see more videos on using aloevera gel.
I’ve watched a ton of soap making videos, this was the best one I’ve seen! Ty for posting ❤️🌱
I must try this. I have plent aloe vera plants.
Good work
Great video, make it look so simple. I have heard that using just Coconut Oil can dry the skin, does the Aloe compensate for this or can you add Olive Oil to prevent any issues? Would you then also use the same quantity of Aloe?
It really depends on your skin type. Coconut oil is the best cleansing oil. The more coconut oil in your soap, the more cleansing power the soap has.
I'm in love with aloe Vera so when I see this I'm overjoyed
Thank you very much.
Hi,Sina masaa ya kutengeneza,,naeza pata wapi Hii sabuni niuze,ya biashara tafadhari

Yes you can! Just make sure it's stainless.
I love your video, very helpful. I actually want to make aloe vera soap for my eczema so thanks for this video.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for your encouraging words and for your support. :)
Thanks for the video . Pls, my question is this, sodium hydroxide is the same as caustic soda? Again I can use perfume for the soap?
Amazing I'm going to try this, in case of fragrance or essential oils what goes best with this and how much to add
If you are using essential oils, 2 to 3 ml for this batch is enough. If you are using fragrance oil, 10-15 ml is good.
AMAZING.... will try to make ASAP
Thank you for your effort to guide us in very simple way
.
if i add orange peels???? what will be the effect???
if the quantity of ingredients vary then what will be the effect on product??? for example more or less with caustic soda; more or less Aloe Vera gel; if more or less of oil [with little difference]???
.
I appreciate if i get answers of these from experienced one
If you add orange peels, the soap will be better.
If you add more caustic soda, it will be harsh to the skin and will be itchy.
If you add more aloe vera gel, it will take a very long time to saponify and will take a long time to dry the soap.
If you add more oil, the soap will be very soft and because it's coconut oil, it will strip off your skin's natural oil. :)
Thank you for saving me some money and keeping it simple. I have most of these items laying around the house. Great camera you have!!!
I have 2 try this 👍 thanks very much for sharing
ماشاء اللہ تمام جدا سھل طریق الصابون ایلورہ بدون زیت وبدون ماء بارک اللہ فیک جزاکم اللہ خیرااااا👍
It's nice tutorial.
I am asking you one question
If suppose we make in big quantity as business keval.
Then what quantity of sodium hydroxide and other things if I don't want to use soap nuddles. Cauze i want pure coconut oil to put in.
Very nicely done video, with total detailing... will come useful for anyone trying to make soap for the first time.👍
Thank you very much for the encouraging words.
Thank you for sharing😢 your recipe. I'm just curious who don't you use the mixer? Is that somehow connected to a specific process? Also I'm wondering if the amount of coconut oil won't make skin too dry as it usually does when it's over 25% of the recipe? Thank you in advance for your answers!
I didn't use a mixer to show that you can make a soap without it. Any soap is drying regardless of oil you use if not superfatted properly. The recipe here is a superfatted recipe. Also, I am using 100% Aloe vera gel instead of water. Aloe vera is naturally a humectant.
@TheAloeVeraGarden thank you for your answer! Appreciate it 🙏. So, basically, I can use a mixer if I'd like to, can I?
Nice soap tutorial it looks like actual soap you can wash yourself with love the idea of making your own soap at home.
Thank you.
Lots of love for your video. I have a question, Can this soap make my skin glowing, brightening, acne and pimple free???
Thanks for reminding me. I use the same formula before.Happy to recall.
Wonderful!
Thank you! I am studying on this to make sure I can do this...
Without going out and buying a blender to make this soap, what is your suggestion to pulp the Aloe Vera, or would a pure Aloe Vera liquid from a grocery store be acceptable?
Technically, Castile soap is made with 100% Olive Oil, but this looks like a nice soap. On my to try list once I work out the pulping/juicing side of things. :)
Yes, you can use aloe vera juice sold in stores, just make sure it is in juice form, not in gel form.
@@TheAloeVeraGarden thank you :)
Can I use a hand blender instead use by hand to mix for an hour? The time would be shortly. Right?
This video encourage me continue my abandoned soap making plan several years ago :D Thank you for sharing. By the way is it ok to add Sodium Lauryl Sulfate? if yes what is the ration? :D
Just say no to sls.

Hi ✨☀️and thanks for your video and recipe. I have a question, do I need to rinse the gel? Like there is types of gels, one solid and one very gummy liquid, when i blend it all together it foams, is it ok?

Hi I'm new to soap making....I just loved ur video...can u tell me how much time it will take if using the immersion blender ...and also the percentage of superfat in this soap...
This is how i make soap. My mama taught me that its best to stir it by hand
That’s really good to know if I ever try it thank you
But one whole hour?
Nah I use an electric wand.. for all my soap making...takes a few minutes to thicken
Jo.
Love the recepie!
BUT!.........Do you medan that Amy oil Will do???? Do you not have to calculate the sodium hydroxide when you use for example oliver oil?
The soap looked great.
Does it not dry out the skin?
If you change the oil, you will have to change the amount of sodium hydroxide. Aloe vera soap made of coconut oil does not dry your skin, it's so much different when you use just plain water.
Thank you so much for answering me! I am just a rookie as yet! I Will absolutely try this soap! I Love to use herbal infusions and powders because you never now exactly the outcome in colours. Nettle juice is a favoriter. And a little rhassoul clay make them full of lather.
Thank you for your lovely video. I have a question... do you think that the aloe Vera gel makes the soap last longer in the shower? Or does the soap get used up at the same rate as soaps without the gel?
Based on my experience, homemade soaps last longer in shower compared with commercial soaps which melts so easily.
Giving your soap enough time to cure/dry out means it will last longer when you go to use it.
Aloe vera gel does not make it last longer than making soap without the gel. Aloe vera just adds a silkiness to the bar and nice bubbles and maybe some skin soothing properties.
How beautiful ur plant is the squeezing process is just lit 🔥
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Please, can one use it as bathing soap?
Forget the soap. Tell me how you grew the aloe vera. I’m struggling.
Aloe vera plant is very easy to grow. This plant grows even in a dessert areas. Aloe vera don't like too much water. Water it 2-3 times a week.
😂
Yes I was surprised too, to see such healthy n lovely plants... mine gets pinkish brownish from to top!
Just use well draining/sandy soil and water it only when the soil is completely dry.. thats all

Great video, I would have like to have seen you use the soap so we can see how much it does or doesn't lather up.
I would also like to thank you for the insight and would like to know the measurements of essential oils if used as an option.
Thank you kindly
Essential oils are soap additives, you can add it when the mixture starts to thicken. This is a very small batch, so just a little essential oil will do. If you're already using essential oils, you would know how much to add. It's a personal preference. Just don't use to much as some essential oils can irritate the skin if used too much.

Which preservatives, colourants and scents can be added to aloe vera soap?
The quantities are listed in the description box.
Guys, this is cold process soap making , so make sure to leave the soap bars for at least 45 days for the curing process before using them.
wait so after making a batch you camt use them until 45 days pass?
@@edwintorres884 Cold process soap must be cured for a while to neutralize the lye in it.While soap will form bubbles within the first 24 hours, that doesn’t mean it’s done. Most soaps need 4 or more weeks to cure, or to complete the saponification process, during which fats, water, and lye turn into soap. The longer it sits, the harder and milder it will become(much safer for skin too)
