you are currently at a consumption of 29.8 kwh. how are you supposed to drive 500 km? let's say your usable capacity is 80 kwh from 82kwh mass capacity. or you're drive like a granny, never above 50 km/h. even at the most favorable conditions you are not getting 16 kwh, which is needed to drive 500 km!! pls be genuine and honest about these numbers. EVdatabase is showing a max of 405 km real kilometers with this car. CV value is just not ok for this car.

Hey, like I said in the video we did a little country road/city consumption test where with an average speed of around 80 km/h for 60km, there we got a consumption of 20.9 kW/h (said this in the video). It shows such a high consumption in the video as when you drive the car for short distance you are mostly standing and if you have climitisation on it will increase the shown value by a lot. The cars consumption is really good for its cw value (which like I said is also very bad) I’ve seen lots of test where people are getting 17-19 kW/h. You can get the 400km like I stated in the video but not the wltp of 541

Hello from Greece! I got my MY2024 (RWD ext range) on early October and since then I tried to figure out the real consumption of xc40. I can say that what you see as consumption indication is an average value of kilowatt hours per 100 km. So clearly it depends on how many kilometers you have driven in a singe trip. My experience when driving in mid-city conditions can say that the maximum range can be from 540 km to 600 (in my console I have seen in the city 50% battery with 310km left to be driven), while in highway and trips with speed values between 80 and 125 km/h, the range goes between 430 and 470. There are a lot of parameters that have an impact on real consumption. For example weather temperature (which in my country the autumn is still warm enough), the additional weight that you put on the vehicle, like the number of passengers and their bags, the road conditions, for example the more the altitude changes while you drive the worse it is for consumption and finally how fast you would like to go on a highway. Always remember that it is an electric SUV, so you buy the battery technology which adds weight and also you buy a vehicle that makes your cabin more comfortable with less aerodynamic coefficients. EV database values are close enough to reality, having a combined mid-weather range close to 450-460km. WLTP is a test with ideal conditions, so always expect 80-100 km less than wltp value, and this is related to all EVs. As for the xc40, volvo's build quality is real amazing, this is a premium product. These seats are more comfortable than my sofa. It has everything you need from a car. You can move fast and enjoy driving, you can experience a silent and comfortable trip with premium feel (the sound system is wonderful), you can go to super market, you can charge with 205 KW DC with close to 450km range. So.. well done Volvo.
