    Something not really mentioned in general is the controller sticks that come with the fpv 3 controller vs the fpv 2 controller. I don't really like the length of the sticks on the fpv 3 controller (18.5 mm) but the fpv 2 controller comes with smaller sticks (16 mm) which I think is more preferable if you prefer a typical gaming controller. The 18.5 mm sticks make my thumbs feel too wobbly and out of control. The fpv 2 sticks (16 mm) fit into the fpv 3 controller (same thread size) if anyone is curious like I was :)

      @@NSUserName yes. its not yet supported. probably in 3 months or more depending on the sales of the avata 2

    Great video, thank you.
    The "tiny joysticks" part made me smile. You know the 2 screw-in joysticks are there, in the lower part of the controller, right ? :)

    Thanks for the video! If you already have the Remote Controller 2 and you want to buy the Avata 2, do you recommend upgrading the controller to 3 as well? (since it is now possible to pair the remote controller 2 with the avata 2)

    • @vernelfpv
      @vernelfpv  6 месяцев назад

      If you will use rc3, you will need the goggles 3. Both o3 and o4 system is not cross compatible at the moment. They work differently as well. For example the rc2 directly connects with the avata 2. While rc3 communicates with the goggles first. Rc2 is also compatible with the O3 Air unit for diy drones

    On the DJI website, the Avata 2 is in the compatibility list for the Controller 2 so it doesn’t appear to be necessary to upgrade to the controller 3 if you already own the 2.

    • @vernelfpv
      @vernelfpv  3 месяца назад

      if you are able to find the avata 2 as a standalone drone, you may use the goggles 2 and fpv rc2 with it. But here in Philippines, I only see it as a combo with with the goggles 3. you will not be able to use the goggles 3 and fpv rc2 together

  • @wmrsp
    @wmrsp Месяц назад +1

    5:19 they are not the same besides O4 vs O3. The lack of antenna should give the clue. The rc2 controls the drone directly. The rc3 does not control the drone. Instead it relays its signal to the goggles and the goggles control the drone. Using the rc3 without goggles is not possible as it was with the rc2.

      @vernelfpv  Месяц назад

      06:59 as I said "at the moment" because when I made this video last April 2024, the goggles 3 only supports the avata 2 which is why we requested DJI vehemently to add support for O3 and avata 1 since it is not a HW ncompatibility but rather a sales directed incompatibility (until avata 2 reached a certain sales quota).

    The FPV 3 controller appears to transmit at 2.4GHz only, with power levels of 26 dBm (FCC) and 20 dBm (CE), similar to the previous model. However, the absence of 5.8GHz suggests that the control does not connect directly to the drone but through the goggles.

    Come on RUclipsrs! A million of you does one product review. How about make a video to target. Why do we need so many controllers? DJI IS NOT being environmentally friendly. You RUclipsrs must reach out to DJI to also have the controller 3 compatible with others drones like the Mini 4 and Air 3 Or the RC 2 compatible with the Avata 2. This seems so logical why hasn't DJI done this? It's all O4 so it should just be a software update.

    • @vernelfpv
      @vernelfpv  9 месяцев назад +3

      yes. i agree with you. unfortunately just like you, I have no business relation with DJI and I just so happen to buy their products hehehe. Although some insiders said that they will add compatibility in the future. But, all of this is just pure business decision on their part.
