I only flew the avata2 with motion controller once then paid the 199 for upgrade i want the full experience lol. Been working like crazy cant wait to actually use it
@@JaredHoyman yes thanks - and the DJI plug in. excited to do this. i have crashed my avata 2 twice and I was about to sell it, but thinking - this is it - maybe this is the way
@@KittyGuerrillaFilms there is no obstacle avoidance on it so you have to fly with some caution. Get used to it in an open field. The simulator will help a ton too in the “micro drone” expansion of “liftoff”.
Double the speed isn't much difference?! Haha. I think normal mode is max 8m/s & Sport is 16m/s, I think manual also allows it to go 27m/s or 60 mph (Roughly)
I could be wrong but I think sport mode is around 40mph and yes…acro is around 60mph. The RC controller shines in normal and sport over the motion controller when it comes to precision. Plus the only time you get to do full manual is obviously with the RC controller.
@@JaredHoyman Yeah the RC Controller is great for cinematic shots. I use the Motion Controller when in very tight spaces. I did recently have an issue with the right joystick on the RC Controller. When I directed the joystick downwards around 46-90% (Pitching up), it would give roll left 100% power instantly out of no where. Even if I had the joystick all the way to the right, it would still roll left. Had it replaced already, I could of been using it too much on DRL Sim 🤣. But then again, I only had it for around 2 weeks or so and didn't use it abnormally at all.
@@JaredHoyman Hey Jared, sorry for late reply. I've had to replace 2 so far for the same reason. It wasn't a setting or anything, it was a hardware issue with the controller caused by leaving the controller plugged in to the pc for too long. Do you use your controller for 4+ Hour sessions on simulator?
Was just wandering please Just brought recently dji avata 2 drone with out motion controller. I then purchased the dji rc3 controller. Any info or tips on how to pair avata 2 to rc3 controller and also adjust settings ? Thank you Glen Australia 🇦🇺

The fpv controller will change your experience. I once in a while will go back to that the motion controller for tame fun flights.
Very good but for noobs all the ones I have seen switch to Manual Mode whilst airborne, center the sticks and go. No weird launch procedure required.
The weird launch comes with a rush though ;)
Whats the first simulator being using here called anybody know with the snowy environment?
I think it is "Liftoff: FPV Drone Racing"
I love kool-aid... especially the red flavor 🤣🤣🤣
can this be used with any drone? even non-dji drones? or a custom built drone?
I haven’t tried any other doc drone but I believe you can pair it with other drones. You may want to go on the DJI website and see what they say.
You can use it on custom ones if you use like DJI O3 Air Unit
When using this a game controller.. does the game treat it like a game controller?
Yes. It recognizes it in the game settings.
What is the simulators you were using?
I bought Lift Off bundle pack. Comes with micro drones.

"That Controller 2 does work with the Avata... 3"
Say that again?
I meant controller 2 works with avata 2 along with controller 3. Too many numbers in my head. Or….im just predicting the future of the avata 3 😅
great video! hey what's that DJI flight simulator program called? oh i see, it's liftoff
Thank you! Yes, "lift off". Great way to learn. Buy the bundle pack and you get more maps and micro drone simulator on it too.

You have probably figured it out but I believe there is a pair button on the unit and then on the R5c controller.
To go slower you need to angle your camera down to 10 degrees
Good tip. I’m learning.

I always loved the PlayStation controllers 😂. Oh wait what DJI?
This would make a horrible playstation or xbox controller, but a playstation or xbox controller could make a great drone controller. Hmmmm.
Is it possible to fly the Avata with a controller with a screen instead of using the goggles?
I don't think so, but I haven't researched it to be sure.
Game name?
