I have had one of these for a few years now. The slightly odd key press and F1/F2 interface issue is not great but the unit is pretty comprehensive. I have not found too many car performance perameters you can change using it but for info/diagnostics it does the job. Communication errors do give initially give a sense of JLR doom but all vehicles have them and are generally not a cause for concern. So many systems are interlinked so a Haldex fuse failure gives ABS/speed sensor codes etc. The live data is nice to see but the data can lead you off down many potential failure rabbit holes that do not exist.
That's a land rover for you haha. I own two and if the fault is historic then i don't worry, I only investigate the permanent fault codes. Most of the historic fault codes are caused by typical electrical gremlins or triggered by other fault codes that share the same canbus circuit.
I have the same model , first time I used it I had many historical faults . Probably from low battery in the past. I reset all faults and rescanned and only 1 fault reoccurred . DAB radio module. Which works.
@ yeah the blue tooth one maxi2000 something. I think I will Get this aswell, seem to have a problem with traction control and throttle response when cold. It’s the petrol i6 so no one seems to know much about it, don’t fancy handing it over to a specialist just yet£££££😂
@ I bough the icarsoft but sending it back, don’t seem to be able to change the head lights to hid and didn’t bring up any more faults than the maxi2000. Plus it can’t program keys either shame was hoping it would do all those things at that price.
I also have a Freelander 2 from 2008 and I use Carly, but there is nothing more then reading live data and clearing errors For such a small Dongle it does the job really good with battery monitoring if you leave in the Port

I have the same one and it threw up hundreds of faults so I did a reset and it came back with just 3 faults
Excellent...i bought one a week ago but not used it yet.

Looks good can it program the keys like the autel
Not sure yet. I don’t think my Autel AL519 could do keys, but the bluetooth one can.

How does it compare to Carly? I was thinking of getting the unlock for Nanocom, but blackbox won't really say what nanocom does with FL2 .

@Oli.je_xx I've got a Carly but find the Live data terrible as it's so badly delayed.
Can recode keys and carry out CCF file updates with Nanocom but it's £250 just for the unlock code.
I have one. Used once. Vehicle now sold. Selling mine if anyone interested
I could be interested…
Just buy the gap
