I want to keep the comment section active, as it's where we can interact with each other and I love it! That being said, people are falling for the scammers, so we need to help each other out as a community. This here is the ONLY ACCOUNT NAME (with verified checkmark) I use on RUclips. ANYTHING else (even with my profile picture) is a scam bot. I can only catch so many of them, so let's all look out for each other :) Love you guys!!!
Many of these bots are auto generated and can be very hard to distinguish between legit “watchers” and post that are normally irrelevant to the content of the video. Hopefully as you have asked your followers they will be able to send you notifications from fake accounts or bots. I have just recently found your channel and started watching your videos. They are very entertaining and have good content. Your very lucky to have a great place live now and to film some of your adventures. Looking forward to more on the way! Set up some game cams around your ranch and you will get some interesting videos I bet.

You probably won’t see this, but I live in Washington too. You’re the one who inspired me to do my first solo overnight backpacking trip to an alpine lake last summer. It was surreal how peaceful it was, I had the lake all to myself. I hiked to 3 alpine lakes last summer, this year I’m aiming for 5-10. Can’t wait to see your overnight backpacking trips to those high alpine lakes!

I have a huge recommendation for you, what i do with the worms is i use a tri hook and Wrap the worm all around it so you have a higher chance of not loosing the worm. Hope you try it out!!!

Pour melted snow/ice water through a coffee filter, etc., after boiling... it will remove the sediment/leaves/bits of grass or bark. Clean every fish before it freezes, immediately after catching and after your line is back in the water. Prep entrails for bait and cut/filet fish before it freezes. Why did you use a tent instead of making a quinzee, which is a much warmer shelter? Interesting video! I'm sure I'll watch others you make. Three and five-day excursions would be interesting!
When your auger's spiral part is not so long it helps a lot to do that what you did once. Clear out the ice/slush once or maybe twice and continue. Short spiral is not able to transfer that heavy ice outside and it gets really hard to drill. I almost had to break my plastic spiral few times before I really learned to do it every time when ice gets way over foot deep. Loving your work. -Ice fisher from Finland.

Best thing to use for bate is trout eyes!!! They go crazy over them for real well at least we're I am just take the eyes out of a trout but don't pop them because then they are hard to use but when you don't have nothing besides fish heads and guts the eyes work unbelievable great 👍

Hey Leif; I use the same water filter for most of the year. When temps get cold/freezing; I use the steripen ultralight. It’s rechargeable so you can use your battery bank & not have to worry about purchasing batteries. Works great for this.

What works really well for perch is if you catch one and take the eye out of it and use that as bait than you’ll catch a crap more perch

Hey Leif; I use the same water filter for most of the year. When temps get cold/freezing; I use the steripen ultralight. It’s rechargeable so you can use your battery bank & not have to worry about purchasing batteries. Works great for this.

Hey Lief, don't forget to try and ice fish with the Fish's Eye. Makes great bait when jigging. Probably because of the saline (salt content).

Perch eyes are great as bait , just hook the edge around the outside in the membrane .
