Wow. This is like a throwback to the frontier days. A log cabin would be wonderful, for better shelter during extreme weather and protection from wild animals. That would be a sight to behold too.

A big trend right now that people want to see is a small home or cabin build in remote areas. I think this addition would suite the property well. A lot of people are getting interested in more nature and wilderness/simple life styled videos. Beside the obvious transportation and filming equipment, I would want to see more simple/bushcraft style videos. Maybe simplify some of the city/technology things we see on video to fit the natural landscapes. Just a suggestion, love the vid! Thanks!
Those are some great points! Might be working on some off grid cabin plans already for us, and plenty of bushcraft. People (myself included) are definitely seeking more primitive living in our ever evolving world. Thank you for the comment and enjoying the video!

Covington checking in. Weather on this side of mountains is lame with all this rain... 😒 I camped over at Vantage by the Columbia River last weekend. Was cold but clear and beautiful! Nice fishing man!

@@Fishing4moby we actually just camped by vantage Friday night. Then got up at dawn and drove to Sprague over by spokane. There's a lake called 4th of July lake, only opens during winter. First Friday after Thanksgiving. They planted 20k Trout. We hit that up, played some disc golf at Camp Senkani, then camped again and came home.

I stick around the moses lake area and around this time its jumbo perch fishing and stock trout too. Soda lake in the Colombia refuge is nice if you have a boat. See, this is living. My man has both dogs with him on his 40+ acres in the desert (looks like a highland desert where I was in Idaho) and is fishing for their food. He is living the dream I had before I met my fiance and had kids... Lucky bastard 😂

@@pioneerman8467 it’s a .357 but was shooting 158gr home cast .38s out of it for fun. I’ve got a double action GP-100 but I had just picked this one up on the way to the property so had to try it out 😂 came with a 9mm conversion cylinder too! 🔥

@@NWFishingSecrets if you have access to clay, sand and some dried vegetation (reed grass, straw, etc.) you mix that together. 20% clay to your sand and enough fiber for tinsel strength and enough water to make it like modeling clay. Build a base with your stones out there and make a level floor with fire bricks. Mound some moist sand on your base then cover it with your mix at least 3 inches thick leaving and opening for your door. Once it’s dry dig the sand out from the inside and you’re good to go! I’ve been able to get the bigger earth ovens I’ve build up to 1000 degrees!

I do love your cast iron kettle. Also, your land is absolutely beautiful. How many acres do you have? I like to wonder about the people that may have traveled over that land over the centuries, or if there are areas there that you walk along that have never had human footprints on them before. So very cool.
In 1979 I graduated from medical school. I bought a Ford van that I converted into a travel van. I went on a journey to explore the West Cost of Oregon and Washington costal fishing the Pacific rip rock fishing. I was catching some kind of crab when a car drove up with some Japanese guys drove up.. They got out of they car and began stretching and kicking. I was and still am a undefeated martial arts student , undefeated Chinese in martial arts. I was catching crabs on the outgoing rip rock. We immediatey developed a kinship. I caught crabs and they caught Zebra fish. We exchanged crab I caught for Zebra fish they caught. What a great experience.

Okay I don't say much on here but where your campfire was on the legs was epic what a beautiful place congratulations. ✌️
Pro tip!
Leave one layer of husk on the corn when cooking over open fire. It protects it from charing. Remove the last layer after a few minutes of cooking and cook for another minute or so with no husk.
Unfortunately we lost our little Bolonka Ilay of 7 years 2 weeks ago. Seeing those scenes at around the 20:00 minute mark made me cry. Enjoy every moment with your dogs, take them on as many adventures as you can. Keep up the great content. All the best from Germany

We have a family friend with 1200+ acres down here in Oregon and they added two old wood stoves from the house they have sold to their property which is a wonderful edition in the October, November months of hunting season. They also have a trailer, two railroad storage containers, Kabota tractor, tuff shed, a Traeger grill and an ATV on property. It’s a pretty awesome set up that keeps growing year after year. I’m lucky to have access to use it. Love the videos man, bring back the “earthy undertones” 🍄 saying. You used to say that way more often and it made my night haha. Cheers.
