    Thank you for this, it worked out amazing. I substitute the oil for butter, water for milk & add one extra egg than the box says. Bake it at 325 for 23 minutes. And none of the sides of the cake get crusty or over baked. Put my warm/hot cake in my stand mixer for a minute & needed 0 frosting. My cake pops didn’t fall into the chocolate either. Thank you!

    how did your cake get so play-doughy once mixing? i did the same thing and it just got extremely crumbly :(

      Hi! Try substituting the oil for butter, Greek yogurt or sour cream so it’s more moist and mix cake right out of the oven, make sure to get rid of any hard crusty parts and mix until dough like consistency if it’s still not as doughy add a little bit of frosting 😅 I think it also depends on the cake box mix you use and if you over bake your cake

    Hi did you use oil in the cake? I’m seeing on Tiktok that some people don’t use oil in the cake but then use frosting but then there’s another person who doesn’t use frosting and doesn’t use oil in her cake either I don’t know what her secret is I’m trying to figure it out lol

    • @berrylicioussweets1012
      @berrylicioussweets1012  2 года назад +5

      Lol ok so I used to add oil before until one time the oil seeped into my cake pop stick and made it oily and yellow 😭😭 so now I substitute for either butter, Greek yogurt or sour cream and i mix my cake piping hot, right out of the oven and sometimes I get the perfect consistency, if not I add a little bit of frosting but not much and then I cover with Saran wrap until at room temperature 💕 let me know if you have any more questions!

    Can I mix the cake after I just take the cake out the oven? do you keep the cake pops in the refrigerator while you melting the chocolate?

      You can take them out, melting the chocolate shouldn’t take too long 😅🩷

  • @Sukhime

    Hi, question! How long does the chocolate stay melted? Cause I noticed you did that first and then put the cakepops in the fridge for a little to firm up? I’m always terrified that it’s going to harden up too fast!

    • @berrylicioussweets1012
      @berrylicioussweets1012  Год назад +1

      Sometimes i do melt it so the chocolate is not too hot by the time i start dipping, but you can always just reheat your chocolate just make sure not to burn it 😅

      You can use paramount crystals. They are great for candy melts. Over the years I also learned that white candy melts are smoother than the colored candy. I use oil based coloring to add to white chocolate and I have a much better outcome.

    There are so many variations of cake pops its overwhelming. You did not say what you used on you cake mix? butter, yogurt, or sour cream, milk, extra egg??? This probably makes a difference why some get their pops to stick right away. Please help out

      Hi!! This is an old video so I know I didn’t explain things properly but something that never fails me is using Duncan Hines perfectly moist white cake mix substituting water for milk and oil for butter, covering it up with foil right out of the oven and then mixing after 10 mins, I will be uploading a detailed video hopefully by next week with a new recipe and more tips and tricks on the perfect cakepop dough 🩷 hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions 💕

      If the cake is hot when you start mixing it shouldn’t take too long, the thing is it varies from cake box mix because some are drier than others but I will soon do an update video with more tips and tricks for you guys!
