Great video as always! But small detail: it's not something that was aesthetically reworked top to bottom; there's an Arabic- number retro version already! They just changed the colors to these warmer tones and worked in the strap from the Bico Sixty-Five as well!
I was gonna mention the same. The arabic numeral version was actually the original divers 65. Came out a year or two before the non-numerical version, if I'm not mistaken. Absolutely love this version though but would have preferred it on a rubber strap
I agree, I have hesitated to buy this one actually in 2020... Regarding the price, I must say that it is ridiculous. The case does not seem improved, as well as the bracelet. So you get a movement upgrade for 3000 USD extra. Wtf. If it was with gold and not bronze, I would say that it is acceptable but here ... not at all.
I just got the watch on Friday and after wearing the watch nonstop since then , the inner bronze links started to patina already, so applied and wiped lemon juice concentrate on them, worked like a charm.
You know what this is like? If you squeezed the colour palette and general theme of "Licorice Pizza" and put it into a watch. Great job from Collective.
I just really like listening to you talk about watches. AFT is cool and I enjoy the banter and the schtick, but your solo youtube videos are some of my favorite in the watch world. I hope to see more coming .
Thats feckin' gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. The Cal. 400 prices me out of this piece but it's totally worth it. Oris are taking leaps and bounds into mid-horology and I for one salute that. Bravo.
This thing is awesome. The Cal. 400 prices me out of this unfortunately. If they gave this the SW-200 in the mid $2k range I would be incredibly tempted to jump on this
A stunning example to be sure Adrian. A few years ago, I ran across it's black dial steel-only older brother with those same lovely cream colored arabics and was amazed at the price. Needless to say, I immediately bought it. A stunning piece in any color but this special edition from Collective is on another level. Cheers!
Looks awesome! I can hear the usual grumblings now...." 3 and a half grand for an Oris, I can get a Tudor...." One of the last great independents, a true in house, great heritage without piggy backing on big bro....
Back baby! Great to see you in this space. Watch community talking about watches? Awesome. Sick to death of Rolex prices falling, and grey market dealers telling us to buy before they go up again. Love the retro style of this watch, and the simplicity.
I must say this is a very lovable watch, thanks for reporting on something so unique and original. I did not know about Collective either. Would be great to have some reports on the Grand Seikos which have those amazing dials and hand-wound movements.
@Adrian Barker I am pleased with what Oris have been producing in recent years propelled by their Caliber 400 movement which the current models have the improved caliber of the 5 day/120 hours power reserve. Having the ProPilot X in grey is quite stealthy and well designed as well as built. It is good to see an affordable independent Swiss brand make strides and the 10 year warranty and service interval recommendation is a testimony of how they are standing behind their watches. I hope they continue on the current path in 2024.
My sister has a cotton candy bronze diver 65 and gives it a clean with lemon juice to bring it back to shine like new in minutes. Personally I would like it to age but each of us to our own.
Love it, LOVE IT! I have been emailing Oris off and on asking why they don't do the original '65 anymore, I have it and love it. Been badgering them to release it in 39 mm with the cal 400, maybe we are getting close to it being back in the collection.
I love Oris and dig the look of it. I think they over did the bronze on the earlier divers. I do still love the design. I recently got a big crown 473 and it’s a phenomenal watch.
Love the vintage vibes. The watch really pops. For $4500 I want a better clasp. Also, not a deal-breaker, but the blue anti-reflective coating isn't quite right for this piece.
Beautiful watch, Adrian. And an excellent video as usual. I see you have the rootbeer as I have one. A question comes to me. What other strap would you see with the rootbeer? Thanks in advance for your answer. Cheers.
Anything acidic will work... lemon juice, vinegar... just don't use anything too strong. You're essentially rubbing off the top layer of metal, so you don't want to do it too much or too often.
Love the look of it, but I'd be concerned having a bronze middle link running through the bracelet. Isn't bronze a really soft material, especially compared to steel? How will the bronze section look in two years versus the steel? Is it a quick release bracelet? It should be for $4,500. I could see this watch looking awesome on a few straps. With that said, why not just offer this watch on a strap?
Ironically, the original 1965 watch had this exact dial layout, it was just black. Time only in this style was done years ago by Topper with their LE. It's cool, but it's nothing more than a color swap.
Killer piece but the bracelet does nothing for me! TBH I love my D65 with those numerals but can you imagine one with white dial and light blue numerals 🤩
Love the watch; something about the "bar /edge" on the side of the bracelet that always drives me nuts. Tudor does it, and it ruins the look of the bracelet for me.
Oris upped their pricing significantly along with new movement. However the fit and finish is still the same as with the sellita models. I think if they want to really compete in this new price segment they also have to step up their game in terms of finishing. If not, then I'd rather take a sellita version at a much lower price.
The 65 never felt like a particularly high end watch in terms of finishing, particularly on the bracelet, and now it’s over 4 grand because of the movement? It’s like putting a Ferrari engine in a Fiat…
Two videos in a week?! Let’s gooooooo 🎉🎉❤❤
Just like the good ole days
Great video and perspective, appreciate it Adrian!
Also, thank you for immediately noting this as a promotion - refreshing in this industry.
Two videos in two days. You are spoiling us Mr Barker!
Great video as always! But small detail: it's not something that was aesthetically reworked top to bottom; there's an Arabic- number retro version already! They just changed the colors to these warmer tones and worked in the strap from the Bico Sixty-Five as well!

Exactly, I have the Deauville dial version, and they also released the blue/black version. Nothing new, just a colour change, nice colour though.
I agree, I have hesitated to buy this one actually in 2020... Regarding the price, I must say that it is ridiculous. The case does not seem improved, as well as the bracelet. Videos two days in a row! Love it. Thank you for the great content
This is a really inventive modern vintage design
Wow, the splashes of copper lean so heavily into that 70's look. That's brilliant!
I just got the watch on Friday and after wearing the watch nonstop since then , the inner bronze links started to patina already, so applied and wiped lemon juice concentrate on them, worked like a charm.
Waiting for notification on mine being shipped, says December so I guess patience is in order for at least 27 more days..
My favourite watch with the new movement....need this in the OG black!
I hope to see more coming
.
I bought my Formex Radiant Bronze from Collective Horology; those guys are really great! This looks fabulous.
Thats feckin' gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. The Cal. 400 prices me out of this piece but it's totally worth it. Oris are taking leaps and bounds into mid-horology and I for one salute that. Bravo.
Ade's back!! Happy days!!
Oh Captain is back!!!!! RUclips has been a vacuum of decent watch content (apart from aet) of course.
This thing is awesome. The Cal. 400 prices me out of this unfortunately. If they gave this the SW-200 in the mid $2k range I would be incredibly tempted to jump on this
This is so good! Wish I could swing picking one up.
Also another couple of great things about buying this watch, no shipping charges or taxes in the US.
A stunning example to be sure Adrian. A few years ago, I ran across it's black dial steel-only older brother with those same lovely cream colored arabics and was amazed at the price. Needless to say, I immediately bought it. A stunning piece in any color but this special edition from Collective is on another level. Cheers!
It has been done, kinda at least. Check out the 65 x Rake Revolution. It has the beautiful burnt orange dial and it is my daily.
Looks awesome!
I can hear the usual grumblings now...." 3 and a half grand for an Oris, I can get a Tudor...."

That thing is soooo friekin’ HOT! George B would spasm over this one.
Very nice design. I am really liking the Oris releases over the couple of years. Gonna check them out in person definitely
Great to have you back 🎉
Good to have you back!
I must say this is a very lovable watch, thanks for reporting on something so unique and original. I did not know about Collective either. Would be great to have some reports on the Grand Seikos which have those amazing dials and hand-wound movements.
Fair play Adrian. You’ve been at the top for a while on the watch RUclips game. Good to see you back in full flow pal.

It’s a looker. Not bronze fan myself but I love the design. Makes me want to pick up my Hodinkee 65 now
That dial gives me vintage Eterna Kontiki vibes
Oris being independent is one of the best selling point.
This can only be worn while sporting a shirt with stunningly wide shirt collars & bell-bottom slacks. Sign me up!
Great era to grow up in the 70s and the colours remind me of a space hopper.
Great and Fun video content as always;)! Have a great day ahead!!!
I did watch the whole video. Not for the watch. Honestly, I could not care less for the watch. It is good to have you back!
My sister has a cotton candy bronze diver 65 and gives it a clean with lemon juice to bring it back to shine like new in minutes. Personally I would like it to age but each of us to our own.
Can definitely see the California vibe in this. Looks like it'd be at home on a beach front
Wow, this thing looks great!
Big Oris fan and this is fun as hell but I don’t know that I’d wear it. Cool piece and video regardless.
The numerals look like they are straight out of SpongeBob SquarePants, ace.
Appreciate its got the 400, but a lot to ask for a reworked 65
Love this Oris
Love it, LOVE IT! I have been emailing Oris off and on asking why they don't do the original '65 anymore, I have it and love it. Been badgering them to release it in 39 mm with the cal 400, maybe we are getting close to it being back in the collection.
Bro, they are not reading your emails
The colours remind me of my childhood Mongoose BMX. ~Rosebud moment
I love Oris and dig the look of it. I think they over did the bronze on the earlier divers. I do still love the design. I recently got a big crown 473 and it’s a phenomenal watch.
Funky - kept playing Starsky and Hutch
Finally you are back again. 👍
Very pretty, the specs are great too, its a 3g watch all day tho......
Quickly comparing it to the Root beer is like quickly comparing your 911 turbo to a VW bug that you are reviewing:)
This watch reminds me of the Glashütte Original Sixties in orange, which I happen to prefer
Zoinks Scoob vibes, I dig it.
Cheers.
Great concept. But the price is just crazy.
Please do a bronze lemon juice video haha
Urgh…., great to see you back though man 🎉
Could you make a video about cleaning the patina of the bronze, one watch could be the Tudor BB58 bronze, cheers!
Wish it were smaller, but cool look.
Lovely remake of the 65
Anything acidic will work... lemon juice, vinegar... just don't use anything too strong. You're essentially rubbing off the top layer of metal, so you don't want to do it too much or too often.
That is lovely!
Gorgeous
Lovely watch. Don’t have the $ at the moment or I’d be all over it.
Hey ! where can in found this crazy Oris ??
It is so very 70's retro cool. I like its appearance but not its price.
Great video and good to have you online again….however this watch doesn’t do anything for me
It's an interesting watch. I prefer the standard Diver 65 with the date.
That is awesome!
It reminds me spongy Bob 😂
Why am I getting Spongebob Square pants vibes from this watch ??😂
Thats hot!
WoW thanks for the video!
Looks amazing 🤩
The numerals are not unique to this model, there are other diver 65 models with them :)
I like the brand, have a Baikal, and had exemplary customer service from Oris , but this one isn’t for me . Great video as always 👏
a watch for the fans in the TVA from the loki series
I'm so glad I only wear one watch.🤓
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Timex and Yema all have the same dial designs.
Killer piece but the bracelet does nothing for me! TBH I love my D65 with those numerals but can you imagine one with white dial and light blue numerals 🤩
Matches Burger King uniforms from the 1970s.
Love the watch; something about the "bar /edge" on the side of the bracelet that always drives me nuts. Tudor does it, and it ruins the look of the bracelet for me.
Oris upped their pricing significantly along with new movement. However the fit and finish is still the same as with the sellita models. Its cute.
Much bigger price with a removed date window, a similar finishes with respect to other divers 65 but with an improved movement... Hmmm..
It's so 70's ugly. It's beautiful.
Now I actually do rather like this Oris
I had the original 65 re-release and loved it. Looking at the comments I think I'm in the minority as I really do not like this 😊
This watch looks like the 70’s puked, someone gathered the vomit and threw it on a watch.
It's beautiful, but 250 pieces is a bit too limited.
I love it and would definitely order one but just couldn’t deal with the patina 🤮
Have you considered profiling Dornbluth & Sohn?
Magnum vibes?
Oris Ironman?
And the fault rivets are ok here?
Oris johnny wad edition
that is a beautiful time piece its worthed for the price
The 65 never felt like a particularly high end watch in terms of finishing, particularly on the bracelet, and now it’s over 4 grand because of the movement? It’s like putting a Ferrari engine in a Fiat…
Oris Divers Sixty-Five 'Maxi' Topper Edition was my fav Oris diver of all time. Only "flaw" was selita inside it.
