Bro ran my pr 8 his first rep and walked it off like he finished a warmup
I feel like Wake Forest is getting some pretty big time recruits in the last two years. Anyone know why they’ve been so successful recruiting?
Really good coaching staff, and finishing high up there in XC as a team and producing All-Americans in Track too (Vanoppen, Tewalt) without that many huge-name recruits. Appealing school too for a smaller D1 experience (smallest P5 school I believe) with strong academics. Probably missing a bunch of other factors too!
@@notorious414 thanks! They seem to be a program on the rise
Been on the rise since 2016!
probably meth 😮
They give their parents houses and range rovers
That track is so cool
Excited for this one
Sub 4 in the bag @ new balance Grand Prix 🔥
Yep he did it. Congrats. His running form is so smooth, he floated that 2:04. Plus he did it from base training, very impressive.
Great workout, go Deacs 🎩. Gotta recruit pacers for the first 300 of the fast 800s though. Will make it much easier.
What exact race is he doing this workout for? Like distance wise?
He said at the beginning lol. Mile.
@@iRunfastXC thanks. i was watching in class and forgot headphones at home so didn’t have volume
The Oppenheimer music goes perfect
5:40 that heat gets us right though during summer training
What was rest between each 800, and between each 200?
The fact that he actually ran the 4 minute mile is crazy
Is it a special workout before the race? Or just base training?
Nice !!💯
Respect too bro with the camera 😂
What pace is he going for the 800s?
How long is the track?
442 meters
what shoes is he wearing? is that a streakfly?
Vaporfly
Girl walking in lane 1 on the 5th rep triggered me
Is this facility open to the public? This is another great video, you guys are doing a great job! Seems like you pick the elite of the elite too! 😅 Only winners
Yes. This is the Utah Olympic Oval that was used for the 2002 Winter Olympics' speed skating events. The Olympics are coming back here in 2034. The track is open to the public. It's a 442 meter track (lane 1) because it runs on the outside of the ice. But there are marks on the track for standard distance splits.
Am I tripping or the guy running this account sounds like one of the dudes on flotrack
It’s the same guy but I don’t think he works for Flotrack anymore.
Sounds like Gordon. Who hasn’t been on the FloTrack channel lately.
@@baumsquad222it is gordon i think he left flotrack or sum
@@yna418 ya we’ve figured that out in the 5 months since I commented 😉
400m indoor track????????????
Wow, a 442m indoor track. So do we add time for the conversion? 😂
I have this guy added on fortnite
Dub
Wake Forest? Not going with Ed Eyestone and BYU...wow...just sayin.
Not every kid wants to stay “home” for school. It’s good to get out and experience other places while you’re young. Plus Wake Forest is a great school.
@@baumsquad222 you are missing the point. he lives near one of the top 2 distance running schools in the nation and could continue to train at altitude. BYU alumni just earned 2 spots in the Olympic marathon. Prolly not a wise decision to pass up training with some of the strongest runners in the nation and arguably the best distance coach in the nation. Each to their own.
@@Davbaldwin1 running isn’t everything.
@davbaldwin1 There were many factors that went into my decision. Academically I wanted a strong school in the field I want to go in. Secondly I didn't want to be 30 min from home and not being Mormon BYU was never a school that really enticed me. Lastly I wanted to be part of a program that I thought I could contribute to a national title too
@@josephjourdon4010 Thanks for sharing your process of choosing what school to attend. I actually live in Georgia with many of my family living in Utah so hopefully you enjoy the east coast. Wake Forest has to be excited to have you in their program. Utah produces some great runners and you are in that select group.
and on Sundays, we load 225 onto the barbell and lift flat bench press for 5x5 😂
