Yeah, I got one to help me when I went to get at-home highlights months ago and she just started grabbing stuff, and hurried to the register. And, I'm like: "Ma'am... You ain't buying this. I AM."

I worked at Sally's for a while. You're expected to give people advice on at-home color which is ridiculous considering that 95% of the time their employees aren't licensed. People would ask me questions about how to do things and I would just need to try and answer their questions to the best of my ability. I ended up learning a lot about hair color.

Tip from a qualified hairdresser of over 40yrs, dye red hair with a mid neutral brown semi (1.9 % peroxide) colour before lighting it, the brown with help cancel out the red.
Then lighten the hair.. It works, and is better than using to many lighting products to get the red out.

The colour remover works in a way that it shrinks the dye molecules for easier removal when rinsing the hair, and step 3 is to stop the molecules from growing back to the normal size again. Usually bleach, toner or permanent dye will also stop the process, but going for step 3 of the removal process is key if one wants to let the hair rest for a couple of days before doing something else.
I lovvvved that first color before the bleach. That coppery tone suits you a lot but I am LIVING for the blonde! Ugh, you're definitely someone I would adore to have as a friend irl. Every video of yours that I watch is just like sitting down with a friend and I love that energy/vibe.

Very very pretty!! I just bleached my red out. I had to bleach it twice. Not really a good thing to do but my hair is very healthy. My hair was orangey red and the second bleach knocked it out. Looks so pretty on you.
Did you use the color stripper or did you skip that step? I know the color stripper can be bad for your hair so I don’t know if it would be better to use color stripper than bleach or to just do a double bleach

You're not the only one where I live the employees at Sally's act like they know everything and they haven't even had any schooling for it and yet they walk around following you asking you questions of what you're doing what you need to get, literally harassing you, won't leave you alone.
If you do pastel purple, don’t use the ion shade lavender because I used it last year and when it faded it was an awful sea green color that was a pain to remove

I was Red, currently did a color oops trying to work the courage to bleach them ( so scared!) but seeing you doing it and the end result wowwww ok I have to do it now lol
No, purple shampoo won’t do it! You have to bleach it again and I recommend using a lower developer and more time (50-60 minutes), because a lower developer might lift a little slower, but the underline pigments can lift out much more while going slower!

The reason the toner didn’t work is because you’re not at the level of lightness for it to work…you looked like you’re at a level 8 and t-14 would work better on a level 9-10… and you’ve gotta refer to the color wheel to see what color contrasts with red (green) to cancel it out :) I’m in beauty school so that’s why I know this. Regardless you look beautiful no matter what! But I just wanted to give some advice to help ♥️

I thought I was the only one who felt like that everytime I go in they make me feel like I’m steal or something. So I do feel harassed and they won’t leave you alone either. They will stay right there until you pretty much pick up your product and go to the front.

I think the reason the red came back is because that area was the roots from the last time your dyed your hair so it is less damaged and color clings to that area more I find this to be true for myself when I do my own hair.

That red band will be because that is where the hair was healthiest, so the colour grabbed the most and was hardest to shift I assume? I adore red hair but refuse to redye mine red for this exact reason! Same with black and dark purple. Just doesn't shift and I don't want to cut off my hair again!

Your ends probably need to go up a bit. I would do another bleach bath on the gold parts because you are going to have uneven dye jobs after this. Otherwise go with a darker toner to tone down the roots
What foundation do you use? It is so hard to find one for very fair skin that doesn't look orange.

From redhead to blond: after use the bleach i did gentian violet... Yep. Half gallon of water and 4 drops of gentian violet into it and ALL THE YELLOWISH go away from your hair! Trust me.. It works very gpod! Beautiful elve blond haha

as a former Sally’s employee, at least in my experience, the workers there literally have to act that way. i would legit get in trouble for just letting customers do their own thing and not asking them if they needed help every 2 minutes, i wish i was exaggerating. 🥴 (i quit that job after 9 months lmao it was trash anyways)

You got some great products but 20 vol would be fine and if the dupe olaplex brings 40 v peroxide down to 30 why not just use 30 vol ??! Dupe can't protect the damage that much 🎉I'm doing same thing and 20 vol twice worked to remove permanent denim red.You did great🎉
