Katie Loy my friends hairdresser gave her the dye she usually uses on her hair and instructions to do it at home and they are giving them to all their clients obviously not free but they are trying to prevent people using box dyes while they are closed cause it obviously will be so difficult to fix it when they do reopen eventually! But yeh the poor hairdressers they are gonna have some serious stuff to fix! Bad dye jobs and haircuts all around!

It’s so funny hearing Brad go off about T18, I used to work at Sally’s and we were told to encourage the T18 Wella for most anyone coming in looking for a toner, so that’s probably why it’s in so many of these videos. Not a huge fan of the Wella myself, more of an Ion fan for toners. But yeah Wella T18 with level 20 developer was what we were told to push 🤷🏼
That’s crazy I find this so interesting because I always see these videos and wonder why the heck everyone is using the wrong product, I feel like people working at Sally’s should have at least some knowledge of hair to help people and recommending T 18 for everyone is just insane but maybe they were being paid who knows but I find this fascinating thank you for the information

Tip from a qualified hairdresser of over 40yrs.. Dye red hair first with a semi colour neutral brown level 5-6with a very low peroxide (1.9).
Then bleach.. It works, better than using bleaching and bleaching to get the red out, which just gets more orange.. It works..
Thank you! I've been spending too much money lately trying to correct my red pigment problem so I am wondering can I buy ANY semi brown dye? Because I was thinking of just getting the cheapest I can find. ALSO, I Used Color Oops on my weird purplish red pink hair (weird grow out from dying it magenta 3 months ago) and it's now level 6 at the top and roots and the ends are like a level 8 or lighter. I still have the red in my hair also, just not as dark and pronounced as before Oops. My question is this: I bought a box of Dark Ash Blonde (7.1). If I use this will it be similar to using a neutral brown or no? I am not a hairdresser and have very minimal knowledge. Thanks in advance ☺

@missladybug319 Hi! Can I ask for a bit of advice? How would you take out the residual permanent red dye from more than a year ago? It's on the lower half of my hair, and it has faded a lot because I only dyed once and more than a year ago, but the red pigment is of course still there unfortunately

I went red to blonde two months ago, been coloring my hair RED af for 12 years. Took me two bleach sessions (not in the same day) and two toning sessions to get my hair to a very yellow blonde with bands (meh). Bleach bath weeks later and now my hair is still pretty yellow but a decent white blonde and didn’t over process thanks to you Brad and your amazing advice. Fugging love you!

Yeah, she's a part of the stereotype of "Women are bad drivers". That stereotype isn't for all women, it's for women like her who think the car (that you are the one driving) is a good place to mess with your hair, OR the really crazy ones who fucking apply make-up while driving and checking the mirror for themselves and not other cars. I see it all the time where I live, and maybe it's just because I'm a tomboy and don't like make-up and shit, but I think girls like that are just as crazy as the men who think speeding is A-OK. Course we have other problems, because young drivers and female drivers are extremely entitled here and will just fly out in front of you because it's convenient for them.

@@windblueten Well, I live in America, Texas specifically, and while that stereotype exists all across america, the entitlement problem has to do with the specific county I live in. While there are a lot of well off people in the area, it's not just that. This area specifically just breeds entitled drivers because my family has driven all across Texas and it's only here we have such a problem.
Entitled driving aside, there's those who are staring at their phones when they should be driving, women checking the mirror trying to fix their make up, more often than not it's women who don't seem to care about where anyone else is on the road and just goes where they need to (including jumping 3 lanes of traffic to get to a turning lane). Just a lot of.... annoying behavior on the roads.

However, after that, they just drive however they want. Well, of course unless there's a cop nearby, then again, they'll behave for a little bit and then just go back to not caring about anyone else.

Brad is the one to talk! In my hometown every hairstylist is unqualified to bleach hair. My best friend did dye his hair blond and wanted to go back to brown since it was more than just yellow. The young women didn’t even bother to tell him that he will have green hair without toning the hair red before! They suggested to put directions on it or to just “suck it up” till it’s basically grown out...
i just went from 2 years of red (box dye permanent oh boy) to ash blonde a few days ago ! After years of learning and watching your videos, i did go to a professional for once and it only took 4 hours and she charged me $160 because i was "special to her" :))) i am so happy blonde and I'm also so thankful i didn't do it myself because i would have definitely had to shave my head

After semi-permanent color fades 50-90% would you recommend a color remover, toner, or purple/blue shampoo+conditioner to get a base tone in partially bleached hair?
Oh man. I did this in 2017 from red box dye to a salon session to go blonde. Totally fried my hair and I only JUST two months ago finally chopped off that disaster of a grow-out process lol. 100% virgin hair over here from now on with the exception of a gloss here and there 🙌
