My husband is white, but has the same type of hair as the Chinese guys he used to work with. It is black, thick strands and shiny and always looks healthy. Our kids have my a mix/more my hair type which is thinner and has LOADS of fibres but they are so fine and breakable that they have lots of fly always.
My sister in law affectionately calls my hair “sheep hair” (she’s a trained hair dresser) lol because it is so thick and numerous, and just does what it likes... but it is easily damaged.

It ain’t just about the product it’s about the application and also picking the right products for your hair. A lot of brands people are using aren’t bad it’s that they aren’t experienced with coloring and don’t know the correct levels they need for what they want
vicky wen I see what your saying but also most box dyes are either very very bad for almost everyone’s hair or they will damage your hair for life so if he ever happened to make one it could be better than the regular box dyes even though it might not be the best for some people

I actually am a certified hairdresser and manage a shop that sells all kinds of hair products, dyes and tool. I started recommending Brad's videos and tutorials to my customers and I'm always so happy when they already know him and watched HIS tutorials 🥰
Lemme ask you then, when split dying your hair from a dark color, and you want a blonde half and a brown half, is it really okay to just bleach one side of the head? I feel like having dried more damaged hair on one side is weird, especially because that side will have mkre breakage in the long run. Would it be better to just bleach the whole head and then dye one side dark?

@@dejarenee5864 as a non professional who has dyed my hair wayy to many times and currently has a split dye brown blonde hair I did mine by accident by first dying it purple black and HATING it so what I did was a bleach wash and got it ant fixed it to it’s current hair but what I would do is bleach the blonde and leave the brown if you have the desired color you want if you don’t I would buy a brown dye and only bleach the blonde side because bleaching it strips the oils from your hair along with the pigment and then buy some argan oil and maybe do a coconut oil hair mask to replenish those oils lost in the bleach I hope this answered your question even tho this is 6 months late lol

MY HAIRDRESSER TOLD ME DIRTY HAIR IS BEST AT GETTING THE HAIR COLOR TO LIFT BUT I JUST HEARD ON YOUR VIDEO THAT FRESH CLEAN, DRY HAIR LIFTS BEST AS THE HAIR CUTICLES ARE CLEAN AND READY TO ADHERE TO THE LIGHTNER, BLEACH, COLOR OR WHATEVER. My only problem is I've tried to dye my hair a light reddish-brown but it doesn't matter if I put light, medium, or dark auburn it all turns my hair the same dark reddish-brown. Only time I've been able to go lighter is with a professional and I now know not to go back to that HAIR dresser who claimed dirtier the hair the better the lift.. lol I should've known but I'm not the expert,... he was supposed to be! Maybe the auburn color I've picked out will work better with clean hair, lol.

I been into doing my hair split colour for like 8 years and since i started at it whichever side the bangs go to is the side typically the darker colour so the brighter can lay over top for nice contrast, in my opinion it hecka awkward looking when the deeper colours are like i guess swooping over top the other if that makes sense lol

One of my halves is bigger than the other because of my part, so I do the easiest to remove color on the bigger part.
